Rated 5 out of 5 by from First impressions: Love at first sight! What can I say? Im in love. This is everything I need from a laptop. Not a lot of flare and gimmicks. just a nice laptop with the right specs with the option to upgrade a lot of internals hassle free.I will say that the new x1 etreme gen 2 is now available. So this one is a bit outmoded. But again, everything I needed and I got it at a great price from bestbuy (price has gone back up looks like it).First off, Im coming from a (same year) Dell XPS lappy. Had to junk the Dell due to construction quality issues and found this Lenovo since it had similar specs. I really wanted a 14" laptop but this one was everything else I needed so i went for it.PROS6 core i7 processor (awesome)2 m2 ssd slots (YES! I already popped in my 1tb 970)16gb ram + empty slot (Ordered a second 16GB stick for 70 bucks)1080 screen for better battery life than 4kGreat factory hot keysBest keyboard on a laptop, period.Medium-duty GPU (1050ti maxQ) is just enough to not turn this pc into a space heater and battery suckerComes with a 3-year Lenovo WarrantyPlenty of connectionsFingerprint ScannerActually a good thinkpad touchpad!LightweightThin and sturdyEasy to remove back cover for maintenance.Lenovo optional software is actually helpfulLittle privacy shutter on cameraHuge vents and intakesSuper quiet under light to medium useYou can dim the screen so low that even at night I dont dim it all the wayLaptop folds flat, I havent found a use for it yet. But I willCONSEntire computer is coated in a soft-touch something or other finish that is a grease magnet. But that's fine. It's amazing.Budget screen could have better blacks but i'm ok with it. This is just what i needed. 4K screens on laptop are a joke. Would consider a 1440 screen in the futurePRO TIPSbuy a spare 16GB ram stick from crucial or amazon(2666 ddr4 sodimm 16gb nonECC) 60-70 bucksLook for good deals on a spare m2 drive (prices are really cheap these days)Set display scaling to 100% (out of the box it is 125). I also set my task bar to "small" and now i have a nice crisp screen with lots of real estate. If you want to run the nvidia studio drivers rather than the game-ready drivers, dont update to 1903 windows, stay on 1806 for now. It isnt compatible yet. When you set up the computer, don't connect your Microsoft account at first, other wise windows will make your user folder a goofy name based off your email. Just set up an offline user then connect your windows account after you are set up. Looking forward to using this laptop for a long time. Happy to be back with Lenovo after all these years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dump Your Desktop !!I was in need of a new computer because My old desktop was too slow to run any of the new video editing programs properly (such as Davinci Resolve 15). I was a little hesitant about buying this laptop, but my brother has one and has nothing but good things to say about it. So I pulled the trigger and like a bullet the laptop was at my front door.. and so for the past two weeks, I've have the biggest smile of my face. All my programs open in a snap and everything works like a dream and I'm getting work done FAST !!! ….. goooood byyyyeee desktop ..lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoking in less than a monthA few weeks after merrily using this laptop, I tried to turn it on only to find that the power button would not work--the keyboard backlight would flash, and the power button light would flash three times, but the computer would not boot. I tried turning on the laptop multiple times, to no avail. After pressing the reset button at the bottom of the computer and pressing the power button one last time, I saw a puff of smoke rise out of the laptop chassis. I have since sent the laptop to a service station for review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it.Super light, super powerful. Keyboard better than my previous MacBook pro. Windows is way more versatile than Mac OS. Thinkpad x1e is the best Windows laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid performer and understated (my preference)The laptop is a solid performer. Feels solid and powerful. The keyboard is centered on the touchpad which is nice but if you are used to it being offset, might take a little getting used to. The 4K screen is gorgeous. I also like all the ports. I travel a lot internationally and the robust construction feels like it will holdup for the long haul.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extreme reviewGreat computer super fast and really nice graphics. Would recommend to anyone looking to invest in a new laptop. The fingerprint reader is an absolute must and works decently well. I have no complaints thus far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, Fast, and PowerfulLight, fast, powerful. All the things you want in an ultrabook. The form factor is actually only slightly than my much older U410, but it's lighter and the bezel is very thin, allowing for a much larger and beautiful screen. The boot time is about 15-20s consistently, and there's not much bloatware to remove. The fan when running on full does sound a bit like a jet liner taking off, but it doesn't often run at max speed.
