Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted I wanted a laptop quality tablet with the ability to write on the screen with a pen, and this is it. Only wish the keyboard were bluetooth so it worked when not attached. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Surface for IT Departments We bought this to replace a better known 2-in-1 tablet (sounds like urface but has an S) that had a failing power button. The X1 Tablet is better in every possible way. Build quality is amazing and although we hope to never have to open it up, it's nice to have the option. Overall, The X1 is a much more professional device that should be able to survive many years of field use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful and portable! Pros:Excellent keyboardPowerful specs in small lightweight designDurable quality buildGreat screenSnappy touch screen and pen interfaceCon:Battery life. This is the only thing holding it back from 5 stars. I average around 5 hours and I could accept that if I knew that going in but the website states 9.5 hours that could vary significantly depending on usage. I do not run any power user programs, just Microsoft office suite and Adobe for construction reviews and presentations. I expected more battery life for those standard offline activities.Overall:If you are never more than 5 hours away from outlets you can't go wrong with this portable beast. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a “lap”top It’s a tablet so it doesn’t work very well as “lap”top. I returned it. I’ll probably get the X1 Yoga. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ultimate Tablet I'm very pleased with my ThinkPad X1 Gen 3. I got the top-end SKU and its basically the ultimate tablet. It can be a simple browsing device with only screen touch input. It can be a veri competent ultra-light notebook (really like the detachable thinkpad keyboard), or it can be connected via USBC or Thunderbolt 3 to do very heavy duty work. That flexibility makes it enormously useful. I have had it just over a month and its gotten me out of a few jams since it is a well-featured Win10 Pro machine that is the size of an iPad. One last important thing: this tablet is highly repairable! It can be field serviced and the storage can be swapped to another unit if there is a failure. None of that can be said of other similar tablet systems. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Power in a very small package I had it for two weeks and It meets my expectations. I am able to run AutoDesk Inventor while I am on the go, at a good speed and not carry a 10 lb laptop. It is a table without limitations. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mixed feelings It runs super fast, but the battery life isn’t quite as advertised. I reduced screen brightness and turned off Bluetooth, etc., but it still eats power quicker than expected. The touch pad is awful. I have Thinkpad laptop too, and that isn’t half the pain in the rear this thing is. I’ve tried adjusting all the sensitivity settings and such, but it’s darn near impossible to use. I gave up trying The other morning because it was so frustrating. The pen that comes with it for the touchscreen has to be carried separately. It comes with a clip attach it externally to the computer, but it’s just asking to fall off.On the plus side, it is fast, and very light. Overall, I’m disappointed. I wouldn’t go for this model again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
