Only the required software and pre-ordered software were on the system when I opened the box. Very easy to set-up and use within minutes. The size gives a good balance between usability (full keyboard and reasonable screen size) and portability - it's a light option which doesn't take up all your bag or weigh you down significantly.

The 13" screen is a great size for office type apps as well as web surfing, etc. The included Lenovo Vantage app is an easy way to keep the drivers and software updated in addition to Windows Update. Was looking for something very responsive and able to easily dock with my home work station (thunderbolt USB-C). However, in term of performance it has been slow and in many cases unable to keep up with my needs. Because the price of new one is too expensive for my current financial condition, i bought the X13 instead with not so high hope. However, the machine has so far blow my mind. It is lighter than my old one (smaller size), very fast, and looks great. The price also more affordable compared to X1 carbon for the same inside's spec. Definitely 10 out of 10 would recommend.

It is super lightweight and has fantastic resolution through the screen. The camera is sharp and crisp in the processor really flies on this computer. Although a bit temperamental, the biometric scanner for your fingerprint is a nice feature to have to access the computer quickly. The battery is fantastic on this and the light weight of the computer makes us very portable. All in all a very , Well-made machine. I would definitely recommend this for anybody looking for a super fast and super lightweight computer.

I was looking for a lightweight laptop for business travel but a budget under $1,000 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X13 fit the requirement perfectly. It had every feature that I wanted (good battery life; antiglare screen; USB-C and USB-A ports; Intel CPU; great graphics; adequate memory size; an SSD; Windows 10 Pro; etc.). My only concern was the 1 Watt speakers - but I figured that I would be using headphones most of the time anyway - but to my surprise, the sound system was phenomenal. I would give the ThinkPad X13 more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks Lenovo!

The finger print reader is top notch and a time saver compared to entering a password. The camera and speakers are great for zoom calls. The keyboard feels nice and the buttons are satisfyingly clicky. It's super thin and light ebullient still having enough ports. And the battery really lasts a long as advertised. I'd recommend it to anybody.

Its speed and memory are reliable and keep up with the demands I have for remote work, email, documents, spreadsheets and presentations. The battery life is great, giving me 12 or more hours between chargings. My last ThinkPad gave me six years of reliable service and so I'm hoping my new one will, too.

Here's the thing about the 13 inch Thinkpads. They're small enough to be easy to carry around, while being sturdy enough to survive how poorly I treat my laptops (my last Thinkpad survived multiple falls). They almost never have hardware problems and it's not illegal to repair them yourself if they break (looking at you Apple). They're a computer you never have to think about.

The shopping experience was all good and easy. Shipping could have been faster however it was at an acceptable speed.

I have the dimmer version of the matte screen (non-touch, and I haven't had issues with it not being bright enough in sunny rooms (though I haven't worked outdoors on it.) [[ One thing that might be relevant for a small number of people, and i realize this might not be the best place to comment, as it probably holds true for all Lenovo devices -- I wish there was a way to customize fn actions (ie. remap fn-b to something else, because if i mistype ctrl-b as fn-b in WSL, the program terminates) ]]

I bought this for my first laptop going into college, and it's working amazing! I had a minor problem when I first got it, the screen was a very dark navy blue, and I couldn't get the screen to change, but my boyfriend fixed it, and I haven't had any problems since. The compact size works great for walking around campus!

So, nearly 10 years I was using different models, namely ThinkPad x220, x270, x390 and now it is the turn for X13. Being a scientist I need the computer for writing the projects, reports, making plots, correcting PDFs, working with chemical formulas, etc. For such a work ThinkPad X13 seems to be ideal. Advantages "+": - Quite light in weight, quite powerful to run several applications at the same time. - Very good screen (bright, with good detailing). - I like the security with finger print. - Very good backlight for the keyboard to work in the night. - Quite powerful WiFi to catch even weak networks. - The small curtain for the video camera. - Quite sensitive touchpad. Disadvantages "-" - the major one is ... the cooling ventilator! Even if just MS Word is opened together with Mozilla Firefox the cooler starts to work. That is amazing, taking into account that I bought i5 processor, knowing that i7 is heating too much, while i5 supposed to be cool and quite. - you can not freely remove the battery and change it. Now the battery is inside. - for Ethernet cable you will need an adapter, although some other producers were able to put a separate Ethernet port even in a much slimmer body.

They have just the right configuration options to tune the build for the user. This machine was for a colleague new to the company with pretty specific needs and a history with HP products. He is very pleased with this selection.

However, I am not fond of the shared End/Insert key. I have used a lot of ThinkPads, so this is weird. As a coder, it is quite a significant pause to hit Fn+End keys to activate/deactivate the Insert feature.

It's hot enough to cook eggs on while sitting idle, videos and audio won't play without skipping like it's hitting cap on the CPU. Working with a dock was a headache, and now the speakers don't work what-so-ever. I can not stress this enough. Do NOT purchase this laptop. I loved the Yoga, but have had nothing but issue after issue with the x13.

It's a speedy device, though I can't try all the features due to company restrictions; for example, they have locked fingerprint login for some reason, so not sure how well that works. My main issue is the lack of accessories. I have been shopping for about 4 hours now online trying to find a case, and there is literally only one not very good option available seemingly on the entire planet. It will be nice when people start to manufacture accessories for the business world, not just for the fruit followers.

Couple of features that may not be appealing for others, but work perfect for me. First, camera is not as high resolution as my surface but I am not looking for that on work meetings.Second, Monitor is not as bright as other laptops but that is perfect for work as you are watching it for hours. Finally I finish my workday without a headache.

The one downside is the screen is a bit small (though anyone specifically looking for a smaller portable laptop will be quite satisfied with it). I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a smaller portable model with a quality keyboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Improvement I'm in the process of transitioning to my new laptop. So far it's great. So much faster than the one I bought 10 years ago. It's smaller 15 inch versus 13 inch and so much lighter. I'd give it 5 stars if it had the SD card slot which I thought it had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth the trouble Lenovo has been absolutely terrible from step 1 of the purchase process to ongoing technical support. Once I finally got a non-defective product shipped to me, the drivers for touchpoint and trackpad keep malfunctioning. Lenovo and windows updates have different registered versions of the drivers, but neither works properly. Other major issues with the device: fingerprint reader never recognizes anyone's fingerprints sound is terrible - mediocre sound quality and the max volume is really quiet key travel on the keyboard is not as good as previous thinkpads. So there's no real benefit there.
