Rated 5 out of 5 by from Arizona Mountain Cabin We have a 2600sqft residence and a detached 800sqft Casita on a small lot that is about 1.33 of an acre. I have been attempting to find something that would work for our guest, visitors, and ourselves. This router permitted us to pair three of the AC3000 Extenders which nows covers our entire lot and some of our neighbors. The V2 has flawlessly performed for us. This was a replacement for the V1 that replaced the AC1600.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t ever expect a firmware update Expensive, no updates! No security updates since 2017, vulnerabilities will remain unpatched.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed, wifi signal strength is weak I bought this about a month to replace my old EA8500. For my disappointment, with the EA9500 placed in the same spot of my old one this have a wifi signal far more weak than EA8500's.ALso the 2.4GHz wifi setting have to be set as channel 11, with channel width 20MHz only and security mode WPA2 Personal. Otherwise the 2.4GHz simply does't work. After the upgrade my RE7000 is droping the connection because it is "too far" from the router. But when I'm using the EA8500 it acuses that is fine or even too close. This showed me that the problem was in the wifi strenght.I'm very regreted of buying this.Maybe next time I'll look for another brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you use comcast for broadband don't use this Documentation is extensive but pretty much useless unless you are a network engineer. Been trying off and on for almost two years to get this to work with several different comcast modems and while the modem delivers gig speed the router delivers dsl speeds from 1997...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Router This is the best router I've ever owned! Fast, strong WiFi throughout the house and all 35 items stay connected.I do question why the last Firmware update is from May, 2017 over a year ago.I've had about 6 Linksys Routers over the past 20 years and this one works the best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid this router I am a software developer with an extensive background in Network Engineering. This router has potential but I would avoid it. When I purchased this router I had 2 out of the box failures. Each time I had to return via RMA and wait for a replacement. Just recently I had to factory reset this router because it just plain quit talking to my Internet Modem. One big issue is that remote administration cannot be turned off which is a huge security issue. The last huge issue is that Linksys has not provided any updates for this router EA9500 since 5/8/2017. I would avoid this router and I would not recommend.
