On this device, both wifi bands are very fast and have strong signals. Even the 5g network gets good reception upstairs. It was really nice replacing a modem + router combo with this single device that performs a lot better.

Careful study of the Manual prepared me for what I thought would be an involved process. After purchasing the AC1200, unwrapping and connecting the unit per the enclosed guide and powering it on, what a pleasant surprise I received! All of the necessary addressing port and connecting information was quickly shared between my Modem and the AC1200. In 10 minutes i was up and running completely wireless on my new AC1200! Super fast and easy, a Big Thank You, Netgear for a totally quick painless setup protocol! The Netgear Genie software is also easy to setup and run.Thank you Netgear!!!

The AC1200 fit both my budget and needs. 4 users are easily able to collaborate on 2 wireless printers, 2 VoIP phones, 3 wireless desktops, 2 wireless laptops, 2 tablets, and 3 mobiles phones (Wifi Connected. We rely heavily on cloud based services. The network doesn't stutter or slow down during our team and interview sessions. This product performs outstand for our open office environment roughly 20x40 FT.

It made all of the necessary changes within my computer, and I'm off to the races. I get a 100% signal in the areas where it is needed. Son is a gamer and once the switch to this router the dropped WiFi and even the lagging problem stopped. Over Xmas we had 15 family quest here and all was able to use the WiFi. The coverage is plenty for a 1000 square foot home with small yard. The USB seems to only work with older USB 2 card readers, the reason for deducting one star.

The problem I quickly encountered was that the modem/router combo that I was renting couldn't actually keep up with my new high speed connection. After I encountered my hardware issue I decided to find a more fitting router and modem. This new router allows me to finally utilize my greater upload and download speeds and my fiancé and I can use as many devices as we care to without connectivity issues.

The most I do is stream from my fire stick. I knew I wanted to buy a netgear because of their genie app. I looked for an inexpensive unit and came across the ac1200. I couldn't be happier. It does everything I need at fast speeds.

I have up to 5 connected devices with some of them running at the same time while gaming and I experience no lag. I had no doubt that it would meet my needs, but this router turned out to be much better than I had expected. The antennas were a huge plus as it enables my to point them to where I will be in the apartment and increase the reliability of my wifi connection. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a mid-range router. Good job netgear!

It has been working non-stop, with no need to reset or anything. It is pretty much "set and forget," which is what I want in a router. But the features are easy to access if I need to change or review any settings. We have lots of devices and stream our TV service, and this router is able to handle the data with no drops or buffering or anything. It works great!

After talking to an associate he recommended this router and said it would be more than enough for what I was using it for. Easy to set up, fast, and great coverage at a fraction of the cost. Very happy with this product, I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I couldn't be happier with ease of setup and configuration to use as an access point. Will continue to use netgear and recommend to any friend.
