It has features like smart link which puts each persons device on the proper WiFi band, wether that be the 5Ghz or the 2.4Ghz. It also allows me to control the times people re allowed to be on as well as the ability to block things and limit time that everyone can be on if need be. The best feature in my opinion is the ability it has to prioritize the traffic that is going through it whether that be someone streaming or playing online games it meets the speeds that we need.

After easily hooking it up with no difficulty, I found an increased range and stronger signal. Very snappy appearance too. I'd recommend this unit for any application.

The one we purchased had great reviews but didn't live up to the them. We took it back and bought this one. Amazing download speeds throughout the entire house. Ended up choosing this nighthawk because of a sale and couldn't be happier. Very easy to set up and was able to handle adding all our devices in a short period of time. Range is significantly better than our old router and we're getting the full speed we're paying for from our isp. The router has so many more settings than the one it was replacing so we can further customize our network setup. I definitely recommend this product.

After talking to a few friends that have it, they explained that by the kids simply unplugging it (accidentally of course), they could get around the filters. So when I was looking, I found out the nighthawk routers had it built in and I was wanting to upgrade anyways. Setup was super easy, it has a great iPhone app and web access, and Disney Circle is great although you do have to pay subscription to get the most out of it. All in all, I'm very happy with the router and the built in Disney Circle feature.

After I moving to the new place, my existing WiFi router seemed to have coverage issues, especially in adjacent rooms due to additional walls and doors compared to my last place. The Nighthawk blasts the WiFi signal into all rooms, even through bathroom walls with tile. The connectivity and speed is awesome. My new place is 1100 sq ft and I highly recommend this WiFi router for multiple devices, speed, ease of set up and connectivity, and strength of signal.

The device has lots of features, and even supports custom firmwares if you want to take it there. I personally like the built in firmware which even supports adding USB storage and sharing to the web. The speed is super fast especially for wifi. It offers guest access. It also has 2 wifi radios which it can combine as one access point for more reliable and faster speeds when more than one device is connected. Definitely recommend.

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpspensive upgrade for better internet connection/speed.

The AC2300 has been working flawlessly for three weeks now. Speeds across the board have improved. Definitely recommend this router. I currently run 16 wireless devices through the 2700 square foot house, (not all at once. Range has improved as well. Easy set up!

Set up was super easy, 2min tops. Signal strength is amazing, I have a 2story 3600sqft home plus a basement. ISP speeds are now clocking at my max allowed at 100+Mbps compared to barely hitting 30Mbps. Highly recommend this router.

The Nighthawk was so easy to set up; you just download an app for your iPhone or Android. It only took me about 4-5 minutes to get the new router up and running. So far, it's been perfect. No disconnects and great range. I am extremely happy about this purchase!

Recalling what was involved in installing and setting up my previous router, I was jittery at first. Well, guess what? This time, the process was MUCH quicker and easier. Netgear's box practically installed itself and then walked me step-by-step to the finish line. Now I can sleep better, knowing that forthcoming firmware updates will be on autopilot.

I was getting dropped connections on my computer and a lot of buffering with my streaming video. The cable company was less than helpful. This router fixed all that. Setup was easy too.

After my research I found the Nighthawk AC2300 sounded the best of the routers I reviewed. After the easy setup I was extremely happy I had significantly improved the WiFi speeds on every device in my home. I am more than satisfied with the Nighthawk AC2300 and recommend it highly!

When I bought it for our new apartment (a long space that is about 1,800 sq ft) I thought I might need an extender or have to go with a mesh system instead... I have 5-9 people connecting at a time and I can stream internet tv on multiple TVs while on the computer with ease. And the signal strength stays strong for a long range. So far the nighthawk is the best router I have bought and I will definitely recommend to everyone.

No lag while playing Xbox while others in the house are streaming Netflix. WiFi signal is way stronger too. My phone stays connected with full strength when I'm sitting in the car waiting on my lady to come out so we can leave. This thing is perfect all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great router for a big apartment complexI recently moved from a small apartment building in a residential area to a large apartment complex and my old router couldn't break through all the wifi noise from my neighbors' routers. I was getting 70 mbps through an ethernet connection, but only 3 mbps over wifi. I upgraded to the Nighthawk to get the 5ghz channel and the automatic channel-switching, and it's like night and day. Now I have the same speeds over wired and wireless connections. The setup was pretty straightforward. It took me a couple tries to get the automated setup wizard to work through all it's steps, but maybe 20 minutes later and after a classic turn-it-off-then-on-again system reset I was ready to go.

My old Router use to get stuck/confused most likely do to multiple devices constantly connecting and dropping off. My house has many '˜wired' devices as well as wireless devices accessing the internet so I live with needing to reboot my old router for years. So far I have not had to reboot the Nighthawk at all! Setup was easy, and I like that the phone app allows you see what's connected to the router. As I got this on a cyber Monday deal, this has been a great buy so far!

It turned out that that's all I needed and haven't had any issues. The last router would have to be reset every few days but this one works amazingly.

Tried the ac1900 which was good and the ac3200 which was also good but range cut out far end of my house. Tried the ac2300 and have full signal strength throughout entire house and backyard. My daughter, wife and I can work at home without any issues even while there's 2 Xbox running at the same time. If you have 300$ to spare on this combo it's well worth it!

I am now able to stream on multiple different devices with great range and bandwidth. Absolutely worth my money. Would recommend to anyone.

After doing some research and discovering how to bypass their modem, I purchased the Nighthawk AC2300 and instantaneously saw a huge improvement in range, speed, and throughput. If you've got a moderately sized home with 20 or less devices on your network, this is a solid router.

This new Netgear has just been an awesome replacement. It has more bells and whistles than I personally need, so I haven't looked into them, but it works great.

I have about 12 devices cool nnected via WiFi including two xboxes a ps4, multiple iPads, iPhones, and Apple TVs, and directv now for cable. I was getting serious slow down and disconnects with the old router. Switched to this one and all issues went away. Couldn't be happier.

That router would only tenuously connect to devices on the edges if the house and would start disconnecting devices if too many were connected. This router was very easy to setup, has not disconnected any devices, has increased speeds by around 20%, and has increased the wifi's range. Could not be happier.

My home is fairly large and I do not need wifi boosters anywhere. Connection speeds are much better and are stable. I am very happy with this upgrade. I wish there was someplace we could better understand what advertised speed numbers actually mean.

Once I replaced it with the Netgear Nighthawk router, I'm always connected. It's easy to set up using the mobile app and I was surprised to know exactly how many devices are connected to the router. Also, the coverage is great. I used to need an extender in the living room, but not any more.

Highly recommend this product. Just make sure you get the appropriate cables for your wired devices. I went with cat7 just to future-proof my setup a little. Great router!

I tried other fixes but not worked effectively. The new Nighthawk R7000P instantly cured the range problem, and all connected devices now work without any issues.

Everyone doesn't have a smartphone so Netgear really needs to make a concerted effort to explain EXACTLY how to set up this product without a smartphone. Once I received instructions from a young man @ BestBuy, I was able, with some difficulty, to set up the router.Had I had to put any more effort into getting online, I would have taken the product back.

Speedtest.net speeds are consistently faster than with old router... best speed before was 32mbs and I logged 42mbs with new router. Also my old n600 router wouldn't broadcast into my office... now Ive got full signal strength.

My download speed went from 50mbps to 170mbps! It has both easy to use setups and advanced, detailed settings. For example, a front door wireless camera didn't work when the 2.4 transceiver changed channels. Advanced setup allows that feature to be turned off.

Couldn't get service in many areas of my house previously (3,400 sq ft), now get full bars anywhere in the house as well as in the driveway, out in the yard/patio, and partially down the road. Don't expect a full 1Gbps over WiFi from any router but this is likely as close as you'll get. Firmware is full-featured and requires little to get up and running and only slightly more configuration for power users to get the most out of it.

Initially had issues with the download speed but Netgear support offered free assistance via customer service and spent over 45 mins resolving the issue! Best router hands down I've had in 10 plus year! Spend the extra cash and buy something quality. I had no intent on paying as much but glad I did, well worth it...

The remote management is a plus too. I am able to remotely connect to the router and perform maintenance or simply check the health. VPN capability combined with USB 3.0 port is another great feature, allowing you to access an external drive from anywhere in the world (if you want to avoid paying for cloud storage, this can be a great alternative).

I have a large house, and I simply located this router in a somewhat central location, and that was good enough to provide an excellent signal to all parts of my home...no extenders needed. I also have about 10 devices connected to WiFi at any given time, some of which are involved in bandwidth-hogging activities like streaming, and there are absolutely no problems with speed on any of the devices. Great product!

I purchased the R7000P and found out there was a whole world of difference especially in the additional range for both 2.4 and 5 ghz. Room in my home that barely would show a 5ghz signal and only three bars of 2.4 now have full bars of service for both. Even in my basement where I used to need a WiFi extender. I am more then pleased with my nighthawk and would highly recommend it to anyone.

After going through the setup with a very helpful always available representative, I finally had a wifi signal strong enough to reach my daughters room! ISP could do no more for me so this was my last best option and it worked! Definitely worth spending the money on if you are tired of wasting time striving for better wifi coverage in your home....just buy it and be done!
