On my 5Ghz network I get wired speeds. Parental controls through circle are good and I love the fact that this system has a web GUI as well as a phone app. This is the system I'm going to keep for sure!

The interface is very similar when accessing via http which provided me plenty of flexibility for port forwarding, reserving IP addresses on my network, and direct log in to my Centurylink fiber connection via PPPOE (allowing me to skip the modem. So far I am very happy, but this would be a perfect solution if 1) there were more ethernet ports on the router and satellite (like the more expensive system) and 2) if satellites were not so expensive themselves.

Seems like we have pretty good range outside the house even though we have the 4000ft range model. Seems we gave good to great speed, even on devices that aren't the newest tech.

The real downside is that if you have Ethernet connections you may need a network switch as the main router only has 1 network connection and the satellite has two.

From the first use it was everything the representative said it was and I love it. Easy to set up if you follow the directions and the efficiency is unbelieveable.I have a 1900 square foot house that is 60 feet long. The Router for my internet is in one end of the house and will not reach to the other end. The Orbi was perfect. Placed the satellite in the middle and now have whole house wifi with no slowing down. Congratulations Netgear you have created a great product and I can hardly wait to see what you come up with next.

Within minutes to f an easy set up, we had full signals at both ends of our 2700 + square foot house. Outside by the generator at the far end, the generator picked up thr signal without issue.It was a quick easy solution.On thr plus side, everyone gets great signal throughout our house and outside.

Installed the Orbital system and problem solved. Sardinia my son from crawling around in the attic stringing cable.

The Orbi system allowed the WiFi signal to reach well beyond that physical obstruction so our team members on "the other side of the wall" could have 100% signal. I've tried several other wifi extenders but they too would drop the signal. Then I searched and read up on orbi from netgear. I installed it and wham bam thank you man. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall a very good experianceI had some issues with initial setup. The issues were mainly related to using the Orbi with existing dal modem / router that my provider issued. I had to configure the Orbi router to work as access point which was not clear from documentation. However, after that hurdle was overtaken I did not have any issues with access-points and now I have a great, streaming speed internet access in parts of home where I could not even check my email in past. To give some more context, I tried using wifi extender in past and it worked relatively well in beginning but seemed to start slowimg down after several days of work and eventually would require restart. Plus I had to setup several wifi networks on my devices. With Orbi solution its only one network throughout the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So EASY to install!I can't believe how EASY it was to install Orbi! I changed out a complicated enterprise system with firewall (WAY overkill and old for the Orbi mini. Just had to make one call to our provider to make sure I had to include a piece of equipment that was connected to our cable (we have internet provided by microwave) and once I confirmed that it was connect to Orbi and follow instructions from the app! I now have coverage everywhere! No more spotty coverage! So far I'm loving my Orbi!

Fortunately, the peak plateau is most common at 179Mbps down and 23.8Mbps up. The lows are sporadic, and waver between 50 and 80Mbps down. EZ set up even with needing to bridge my modem-router combo. I can now install a few more WiFI gadgets knowing they will work as expected due to the strong signal.

One thing being WiFi, living in a house with 8 guys we needed a router that would make 8 phones, laptops, TVs and other devices run at decent paces. The Orbi22 and it's satellite provide excellent coverage across the entire house spanning 4 floors and 8 bedrooms. Orbi22 made college living easy

When we purchaced the Orbi we set up the satilite downstairs and haven't had any problems streaming or with coverage throughout our home. However, docking a star because my wife's older ibook keeps getting kicked off orbi in favor of the old router. And I've noticed some hanging on apps that didn't happen before, so it's a little glitchy.

The satellite alleviated that issue by getting the router in an area signal wasn't blocked. Our whole house is happy. Even better is installation was easy on our modem/router combo.

I hooked into my Comcast modem and wireless router and then compared the two Wi-Fi networks in different parts of my house. Where both routers are housed they both get about the same speed, roughly 250 MB PS. But in other parts of my house where the Comcast Wi-Fi was running about 50 MB per second, the Orbie is running between 220 and 230. It has definitely made a difference as far as my whole home coverage goes.

The Orbi with its satellite works well in all parts of the house. Installation instructions were minimal, and I did a lot of experimenting and then got help from the Netgear user forums. Mine might be an unusual use case, but it would be nice to have a more comprehensive installation guide.

With the satellite addition, we no longer have issues. Best of all, we're now able to have a satellite next to our TV so we can directly connect both the TV and cable box using the Ethernet ports. Downloads happen so much faster without dropping off, and there was no need to get in the attic and route cables!!!

I wanted a mesh network as our house is long and our internet connection comes in at one end - made sense at the time as that is where my desk is. With the proliferation of wifi connected things, the stuff at the other end of the house couldnt make a very good connection. Orbi was pretty quick to set but I did have to move things around to get the connection to the end orbi to hold. I wish there were more connections in the back of each as my internet modem took up both on the base unit meaning I have to either purchase a gigabit switch or run my computer and my printer as wifi rather than hard connected. So the jury is still out - I'll see how it is a few months down the road.

It works great and I finally don't have to have an Ethernet cable running through my house to my office. I have noticed a substantial increase in our WiFi speed. I purchased the ORBI with 2 satellites. One satellite is in my office and one in the basement. So far, I am loving this product. I will update if anything changes.

We have a 3700sqft home that's rectangular in shape with a underground basement and a shop 70ft away and we now get a descent signal every where. Orbi makes using our Google home ecosystem really easy to function and runs 20+ devices all the time ate old access point was dropping devices as it was overloaded.

I get good coverage where I would expect based on where I put the hardware. The app was a little wonky at first, telling me that my router wasn't online even though I clearly had internet access. It seems to have settled down though and I'm hopeful that updates to the app will only improve things.

The Orbi has not yet dropped and seems to address the coverage I need with a slight drop in performance versus the Nighthawk when it was within range and not dropping. Time will tell.

My son suggested the Orbi. Set up was easy and speeds are awesome. We have the router in the basement and the satellite in the kitchen upstairs and everyone gets great signal . With up to 15 devices on I have seen no slowing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works greatWe used Orbi to brick, I mean bridge, our Centurylink brick, errr...modem. Orbi has given us good signal throughout the house and minimizes our down time. No more resetting the modem twice a day, but remember, it's not magical. It still requires a good signal coming in to give good WiFi going out.

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because the signal drops out sometimes. It doesn't take it long to re-establish the connection, but when it's in use it can be aggravating.

Bought this to replace my Google Onhub and this mesh network has much faster wireless speeds with easier setup and in-app controls than the Google Wifi system. I still wish it had some more fine grain controls of my network, but so far I haven't needed it.

Coverage in our 2800 sqft home was just ok on the lower level but dropped dramatically upstairs. Instead of getting 60-70mb we were pretty much getting 40mb downstairs and 30mb upstairs. Purchased the 2 node Orbi mini system. I was hesitant about whether 2 minis would be enough. It was and what a huge difference Orbi made in both coverage and wifi speed. I kept both routers on the lower level and now consistently get 60-70mb everywhere in the home - even the upper level. Setup was a breeze using the app and from an aesthetics view the remote unit is good looking and can be placed anywhere. I've been using Orbi for alittle over a week now with no issues. I would strongly recommend them.

Comparison: Standing next to the modem, using the modem's Wi-Fi connection, I got around 500 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up. Using the Orbi in the same spot as the modem and the modem's Wi-Fi connection disabled to ensure no interference, I only get a max of 75 Mbps down, and 50 Mbps up. Luckily, any of my Wi-Fi device don't really need more than 50 Mbps down.

So far coverage has been great even out to my driveway. Only issue was the set up, it took a while to get the satellite to work so much so I am afraid to move it. Outside of that, great product

However, I have had problems with the satellite connecting and disconnecting numerous times during the day and night. Also when I set up my specific SSID the 'Orbi08' SSID that came already set up would not disappear. I had to reset the system three times to get it set up.

After my initial setup, I renamed my network in the phone app and it hung up in the middle. From that point on for the next hour it kept defaulting to the initial setup. I switched to the desktop app to run the setup and rename again and everything has been awesome since! 25% better performance than my FiOS/repeater setup.

Our connection would be spotty at best depending on the time of day. I would be resetting my router at least once a week to reset the IP address and modem. This was getting so tedious that I was considering switching internet providers just to try something new. Since switching, my streaming has been wonderful on my TVs. My ring cameras and baby cameras have performed flawlessly. My smartthings bulbs and devices have not been unresponsive at all compared to how it used to be. Overall this was money well spent and probably one of the best purchases for a tech obsessed person like me. I highly recommend this to anyone and set up was a breeze, just look up YouTube videos to set in AP mode if you already have a good modem/router setup.

I've also had a couple wifi laps issues with my 2.4 GHz laptop. Could be the laptop is getting old so can't fault orbi entirely for that.

Once out of the office area, wifi was spotty and inconsistent... actually non-existent in the basement and the back deck area. After setup of this two unit mini Orbi, wifi signal is strong in the basement and back deck area.... all over this 4,000 Sq ft house... would recommend this Orbi to anyone seeking to drastically improve their wifi signal!

Signals for the first time ever were excellent in the home which is two levels with the modem located upstairs on one end off the home. Now we have excellent Roku reception, great surfing speeds! Researched a bit and Orbi was one of the top candidates. So far it is working very well. We are getting good signal in the room which was struggling. Happy with Orbi.

This also helped me wake up my iMac computer that is upstairs by using my Apple TV and the Bonjour proxy and the ethernet cable instead of using port forwarding. This was the first time I was able to make this work, finally! I am really considering purchasing the outside Orbi piece that provides better wifi outside since I have an extensive backyard. Thumps up so far!

We have a house with several exterior walls now part of the house's interior. This cut off new parts of the house from getting wi-fi easily. With the Orbi Mesh system, the whole house is now connected without a hitch.

Main router is in the basement, and satellite is on first floor. No noticeable loss of signal throughout house! Easy setup - I used my desktop from instructions on netgear website. Quick setup in box only gives phone option details.

We have Arlo cameras and while the one on the front porch works very well, the connection and video on two cameras 50 feet from the house is spotty. I am looking for a method to achieve a better connection for those remote cameras.

It could have been quicker, but I the satellite was on the main floor of our home and had to synchronize it with the base unit upstairs. This was not an issue! The distance between the two units is 45'. No issues with signal drop off. We only stream in our household. No problems watching and occasional movie or TV series. Great purchase!!

At times, the signal is interrupted and I have to stop and reselect the Orbi WiFi signal. A reviewer on YouTube says this may be from the satellite and/or router taking control from each other?

Only drawback is that you have to purchase "Circle" app to get premium functions that they advertise as being available, like bedtime controls for your users.

The set up was EASY.... and we absolutely LOVE Disney Circle Integration. The only thing we wish we could do was have the units completely turn off at night. Overall, we happy so happy we made the switch!

Or if it was you got only one bar. So looking at the satellite routers was where we decided to go because it wasn't financially smart to get 2 plans in two separate areas. This works like a dream. And ALL devices are connected. 

My router is located in the lower basement level and we had weaker wireless spots throughout the home with our service from Medicom. I selected the 2 pack system vs. the 3 pack system from reviews I had read & thought the 3 pack would be overkill & almost double the cost. After 1 week we have been mostly pleased. I eventually placed the satellite unit on the 2nd floor as it gave the best coverage overall. I have a couple of weaker spots yet but they are isolated areas. If my home were larger than 3500 sq. ft. I would definitely go to the 3 pack unit and still might, with a satellite on each floor.

This Orbi now with the mesh router setup they have I just plug in the extra satellites into outlets on other side of the house and it grabs the wifi and extends it.. Easy setup and it's been a month and no problems.. My security cameras pick it up and everything is working..

This system fixed my range issues I was having with a new Ring security cam. I'm very pleased with the internet speeds across the whole house and across all devices. Highly recommend. Setup took probably less than 5 minutes and the app to manage is wonderful.

The app gives me a visualization of how many items are on the network, allows you to pause the items and see the strength of the network. Much better than the standard router from the cable company.

The only thing they need to improve is either separating the 2.4Gz and the 5Gz band or allow to turn off the 5Gz band to make it possible to connect old smart devices and plugs that only works with the 2.4Gz.

The new router works as expected and I must say routers have improved a lot in the last 4 to 5 years. The set up is not challenging. I like the Phone app included with the system. The mesh routing is impressive. I do not have slower speeds in my house anymore. The only caveat is the Wi-Fi scale in my house does not always read the router right away but that could be an issue caused by the scale and not the router itself. If it continues I will reboot the router and the scale from a new set up mode. I am happy with the purchase and glad I made the move.

One thing to note is it was a hassle trying to get the system to sync and I struggled with that for around 2 hours. I ended up ditching the phone app and went straight to Netgears website to sync our new system it worked way better.

I would measure my wifi speed downstairs and was averaging. 25 download speed. when i installed the Orbis, my Wifi speed literally went to over 120. I was so happy. I am finally getting the speed i am paying for thru my ISP.. Please dont hesitate, get these ORBIS!

The speed I'm now getting is even more than the speed I pay for. This investment pays for itself and I haven't had internet issues since! And I have solid internet now (200+Mbps) at all points in my 4500sqft house, including garage and basement. And so far, the Circle app is outperforming the Luma for appropriate filtering and off times. Only thing that would lower my rating would be how it performs over time (ie: time will tell)!

The one replacing another netgear product which is doing fine and one replacing a dlink product and that one is not going as smooth as the other one. The latter one is giving lots of WiFi network messages regarding no connection to internet and some of the devices are not transparently connecting to the Orbi system such as sonos and some smart switches.

My speeds increased tremendously all over the house. However, being an IT professional, I do wish there was one option of control, not currently available. I want the ability to assign a frequency. There is 1 streaming device in my home that only connects to the 5ghz. It performs VERY poorly at times, because it would do much better on the longer range 2.4. There is not a way for me to connect to 2.4, or assign permanently. With that ability - this product gets 5 stars.

After repairing it down and back up everything is fine but it'd be nice to know why it's doing this. Other than that I like the Disney circles and being able to restrict internet time per device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Setup and Great PerformanceSetup was very easy and straight forward using the Orbi app. I went from box to a Wifi Mesh Network in less than 30 minutes. The speed is excellent between the Orbi base and Satellites. All of the Speedtest results throughout the house are over 150 megabits. As a plus I really like the addition of Circle and the ability to create profiles and control filters for appropriate Internet Usage. The free tier works fine for our needs. I would Recommend the Orbi to anyone with a larger house that needs uncompromising speed, easy setup, and content filtering options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great system!Picked up the two-piece Orbi setup to replace a long-in-the-tooth Apple Time Capsule and two Airport Expresses acting as range extenders. Setup was extremely easy and the result is phenomenal. Wireless speed is double to my iPhone and other wireless devices, and the speed is consistent upstairs (where the single satilite is), as opposed to taking a big speed hit with the Apple WiFi.

I was going to get another nighthawk due to the amount of gaming and wifi devices I use but decided to try the orbi due to the fact the basic specs were pretty solid. Im really glad I did because I havn't had issue issues with signal connection or buffering on videos. The setup was so easy, I had the whole house ready to go in 5 mins, thats fast considering I can't even setup a tent that fast. I would recommend this device for the Novice and expert alike.

I only gave 4 stars because it will not connect to any of my echoes or smart TVs. Does connect to my iPhone, iPad and UE Blast. I was advised to download and work with the Orbi app, which appears to work well, but when I went through the process to link up my 1 satellite, the process got messy. I ended up going through the same steps maybe six times with a 'no satellites detected' message at the end. I decided to call tech support and was very happy with the service on the call. The problem turned out to be that the satellite was already linked! The app was not refreshing itself appropriately and we verified this by closing and restarting the app on my iPhone. So, I went through a lot of unnecessary steps to ensure the satellite was online, all while following the included instructions and the app.

I had to use two downstairs and need to buy an outdoor unit for the back deck, I was hoping to use one of the extenders on in the breezeway for outside but with only 2gigs DSL, it doesn't cover 6000 sq ft. But I went ahead and gave five stars because it would work great if I had real wifi and it works just as I expected it would with my current internet services.

We upgraded to the Orbi system and have been very impressed since the day we bought it. Installation was a piece of cake. Walk through instructions were easy to follow, and made setting up a breeze. The app makes user controls easy and allows me to switch grant or deny devices access to the wifi! We've loved that feature because it's helped us spend more time as a family without being glued to our devices. Overall, we're very happy with the switch to Orbi. We recommend it to anyone that asks.

I was a bit skeptical at first but decided to take the plunge to try it out. Colonial house, pretty standard open layout, decent speeds (1MB download pretty much anywhere with previous router. With Orbi, 600% increase in my office which was upstairs and about 50 feet away from my previous router. Now I have a satellite in the room and I couldn't be happier. I'm actually looking into getting a faster rate from my ISP since I know this system performs so well. Would highly recommend!

What I didn't know if that if you have only 2.4ghz router the best download you'll get is 11mbit/s. Once I got the netgear, my speed went up to 178mbit/s and I have 150. It's easy to control through the app and it has strong signal (I have over 3000 sqft house and I don't lack signal anywhere). Very satisfied with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ProductI have used many other mesh network products, and they have all fallen short after plugging this into the 4800 sq ft home I was able to place these at each level in the opposite corners and the middle floor I placed one in the middle of the house. after ding this full bandwith download and upload no matter which floor I am on. I can also receive half to full bars outside of my house about 150 ft away

It has been running flawlessly since and the speeds have been unbelievable. Over 200 MB download and 12 upload on a consistent basis in the farthest room in my home.

Then on the second day my rokus were connected, but none of the channels worked. Even my phone had trouble accessing websites. So I used the Chat Support in the Orbi app and they helped me get everything fixed and working in about 15 minutes. Now it works great! I get much better signal than with just my FIOS router and the coverage around my 1400 sq ft house is great with the one satellite. So far I love it and the service!

I have the main unit at the modem in an upstairs corner bedroom and one satellite downstairs in the living room. I have strong coverage now throughout our 2500 sq ft split level home. Problem solved, and now I can dump my DirectTV account and save $120/mo. Orbi will pay for itself in a couple months. Great product, highly recommended.

Not only was it extremely easy to install but also increased the speed of my local network from 50 MB/second to over 110 MB/second! The main floor of my house has over 3000 sq ft with the same on the lower level and 1500 feet on the second floor. I placed the orbi modem at the center of my home and a satellite on each end. I now have great wifi throughout the home. For a large home like mine this is a perfect system. I installed the '6000' sq ft system. I'm extremely pleased with the results.

We were having constant problems with lag time and complete loss of Internet service in the upstairs portions of our home. Ee bought the Orbi and everything changed overnight. Now we have service in every room in our home and even in our front and backyard! I highly recommend do you Orbi system.

I am very happy with this selection and purchase. I have a two story, full basement house. This router is performing flawlessly. Easy setup. Handles a dozen users well. I do recommend this product heartily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Orbi mini reviewOur Orbi mini works well. We had a problem connecting the system from upstairs to downstairs - for some reason the satellite couldn't connect. Once we put the satellite downstairs with the base the system connected and we haven't had a problem since.

We get a full strength signal through our home and a strong signal in the yard. Getting a good signal outside is nice so we can work on our laptops, listen to streaming audio, or watch a movie on a notepad while we are outside. It was easy to install and has already handled rebooting after lightning related power outages.

The Orbi Router and Satellite are each on opposite sides of my 2700 sq ft home and provide wifi to whole house. Instead of using the dedicated 5g connection between units I instead have them connected via network cable. I had already ran the network cable under house so it made since to connect the units.

So I bought it ......WOW!!! I cant believe how easy it was to setup and the coverage and features are amazing. I am so impressed I want to try the outdoor satellite for my back yard.

The app is SO EASY to use! The router and satellites were a breeze to set up. It's amazing. Night and day compared to my previous wireless router...I can't believe I lived with my slow internet and connection problems for so long. Why did I not get Orbi sooner??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Orbi System work Great!I have 1Gb Fiber from Century Link and I was able to bypass their modem with this set up. Now i get better speeds around the house, and even some coverage outside of my house which did not happen before. The set up was simple(once I had PPPoE login information from CL), and I was online in no time. On my previous router I was getting speeds of ~120 mbps and only ~2-10 in my office and back porch, now I am getting ~325 around the house and ~100 in the office and back porch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy set up, Fast and long rangeSet up was super easy. My average download speed with Orbi is 117 mbps, upload is 11.5 mbps, up by at least 20% from my provider. I would recommend it to everyone!
