I received the tablet as a premium for being a shopping panelist (which I love), and, after over 8 years of work, I did not want a broken screen such as I have seen on other tablets. This is a good hard shell that cradles my tablet safely.

I have purchased iPads for all the older grand kids as they reached 6 years old and I immediately put the iPad on an otter box defender. Never had any problems with any cases or iPads. Unfortunately the iPad was a gen 5 device and the defender case was not yet available. I signed up for an email notification and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally I got notified that they were available so I quickly logged in and..they were all gone. So I put in a request for email notification and waited. And waited. And waited. And I get a notification in early August that the were available again so I quickly logged in and...they were sold out. So I put on a bunch of email notification requests to several different email addresses. Here I sit months after my grandsons birthday and no case so he has no iPad. The cases are that good. Well I was on vacation in late August and while standing in a museum line I decided to check To see if it was available yet even though I hadn't received any notification. Lon and behold, it was available! I ordered it and luckily there was a huge discount that weekend. So I got the case on sale!!!! Well the day the sale went off I got email notifications that the case was now available ! Gee it sure looks like they didn't want to let anybody know till it was regular price!! Anyway, I got the case and now I have a very happy grandchild with an extremely well protected iPad!! Fabulous product, but they need to improve the customer service. Why would you ever put an item on the web site for sale without first notifying all your customers that were waiting for months to get one? Makes me wonder if they put them on sale the previous times before they notified everyone waiting for them?

I got it replaced and as soon as this case was available I bought it. I only trust otterbox. The case also has a stand so you can watch stuff hands free.

Rated 5 out of 5 byRich from INCREDIBLE 2017 IPAD CASEThis defender case and stand is 3x's the size of my iPhone 6 defender case and only a few dollars more! It is beyond sturdy, although heavy with the case; however, it is for an iPad which is large. If the added weight bothers me, it's very easy to remove the stand. It's fantastic!
