Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Monitor Ghosting I received the monitor just a few days ago, and so far some aspects have been fine. The colors are nice and the refresh rate is good. However, there is one annoying aspect that I can't seem to get rid of. There is a faint ghosting on the monitor, no matter how hard I try to get rid of it. I've tried adjusting the response time and trying different cords, but nothing seems to help. It is very frustrating whenever I try to play games, and I can't find a solution. Overall, every other aspect is fine, but the ghosting is what ticks me off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Broken in 1 month. I bought this literally 1 month ago from Best Buy on 5/8/2023 and today the screen went completely white and is no longer working. It just stays white. I can barely see the output it’s terrible and completely white. Tried everything but nothing works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HDR content is still a nightmare An ok experience for first time into HDR. Except for the first 2 weeks, using windows 10 back then. HDR was pretty bad in support, and still is imo. Can't take a screenshot on PC with HDR turned on, the image is not able to hold the color data for some reason, everything looks blown out. You have to make sure to screenshot in a "windowed" mode if you are in a game and even then it's inconsistent. Had a faulty one shipped to me with snow/static, replacement has been good except for sleep issues and some random glitches from time to time. This was a heavy investment for me, as I usually only spend 120 on a 1080p cheap monitor, so I am hoping for a another few years out of it. I have some old gen samsung LCDs that also had issues like this. One stopped working the other one is still alive after 18 years. I will never get another monitor that can tilt or swivel to vertical. Does not feel solid at all. Also extremely scary and cumbersome to transport, if/when needed. Especially being a curved monitor. I won't complain about it, but just need to mention how much heat this thing puts out. It's just science after all, but for a 900-1100 nit monitor this thing cooks your face in the summer, and makes the room hotter. I am not used to this coming from a flat panel. Lastly and maybe most annoyingly: the backlight is extremely hazy and intrusive even on the lowest brightness setting. you have to crush out all the color with black level adjuster just to get solid blacks, but then everything else is messed up. After 3-4 years, I'm still trying to calibrate this thing, because the backlights make it so difficult and scene dependent. 31bright 75contrast 49red 50blue 55green is what is recommended by someone with a calibration tool, btw. I used that for a long while but have since gone back to custom presets for SDR and HDR content and a medium ground setting I never use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Gaming Monitor! I mainly use my Samsung 24" CRG5 as an extended display for my laptop and my console. This monitor really attracted me with those gorgeous Curved display along with features like having a FHD Display (1920x1080), 144hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync technology. Colors are vibrant and accurate (what do you expect? It's a Samsung) At this price point, this is the best gaming monitor that money can afford. I love how the monitor have 3 display options (1 Display Port and 2 HDMI) and a Headphone Jack. It really provides versatility to the user. I have always and will continue to trust Samsung products with their quality and reliability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible support three years ago i received this monitor in the mail. on three occasions of headaches i sent it back and forth in the most agonizing support exchanges because of dead pixelation in the corner of the screen. time and time again they resent the same monitor with the same issue. i eventually decided to keep it and deal with their incompetence. now three years later this $800 premium gaming monitor all of a sudden has washed out look that makes it unusable, only after continued plugging in and out of the cords will it occasionally work.. very unacceptable samsung i am a loyal premium customer and your products should hold up better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 144hz, 1ms,1440p, Hi. I recently bougjt this monitor and it is fantastic. It's only 1 thing that disturbs me and that is freesync. When I have freesync on and are under 100fps in games it flicker pretty much especially in dark scenens. But when I turn off freesync It stops flickering. I was wondering if it is possible for you guys to fix this issue in a new firmware update? I have seen on many forums that many People having issues with this. And by the way I'am using freesync/gsync with an nvidia rtx 2070 but I tested this on my xbox box one with freesync on and it was the same problem Really good monitor overall. But many people+me want you to try fix this issue in the next months or something. Really glad I bought it. :

The only drawback would be the GIANT stand, but it's great when mounted on a VESA mount. I'll be buying another one, and my friends want 2 each as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wish I read the REAL reviews before buying this monitor feels like a crt monitor that came with my packard bell desktop pc in 1997. i paid with bitcoin when i purchased this monitor, it sucks. while this monitor depreciates in value, the bitcoin i used on it is going up in value. i do not recommend, it's overpriced and now i am starting to think i will need to cancel my handful of business contracts and sponsorships i have with samsung because their product quality has declined extensively with each new product release. samsung doesn't read these but i assure you my 25 million followers on youtube, twitch, facebook, twitter, tiktok, and snapchat will read my negative review and as they say, money talks. (best way to get something addressed is hit the other party in the wallet, they will be on your case like white on rice.) -cizz0r

I have tried every possible way to get the hdr to work on windows 10 with two games: resident evil 2 remake and the division 2. Samsung is marketing this display as vesa display hdr 600 at 144hz at freesync2? Does this display have physical v1.4 displayport? If it does, then the problem is Amd Radeon or Windows 10. The hdr works one of the 70 tries when launching the game - that's not very nice, isnt't it? I would like to know which one of those three companies are responsible at providing non capable / disturbed hdr image? I'm paying for windows 10, i'm paying for Amd Radeon graphics card and i'm paying for this Samsung c27hg70 display. And what do i get? A nonetheless gaming experience what every gamer should never get. And yes, i have updated to latest firmware. Do we have to accept that technology is going too fast forward and we humans cant stay on with it? Drivers are late, bugs are everyday. And we are getting marketing about hdr that it's not working. This is so frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Quality Monitor i bought two of these monitors in april of 2019 and both of them had the displayport input fail in them multiple times. the first monitor went to the shop 2 times and on the 3rd failure they offered to buy it back from me. i kept one of them because it hadn't had any issues yet... then shortly after it did. i am now on my 3rd attempt to get this fixed and trying to get them to buy it back from me. i can't keep going without a monitor for 2-4 weeks like this over the same issue. there is clearly a flaw in this monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Intermittent Issues, Overall Average due to character limits, i'll keep it brief. the monitor is good, but not great, and i can't in good conscious recommend it for gaming. hdr is good (not great), but still better than alternatives at this price range. the monitor is much better suited for media consumption / productivity than gaming. despite updating firmware multiple times (currently 1025) the monitor still suffers from the "purple smear" issue in dark games especially in fast moving scenes. this is much more pronounced using freesync ultimate vs standard or off, reducing value further. it's unfortunate this still hasn't been adequately addressed or corrected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for gaming, lacking quality and reliability it's actually an excellent monitor for gaming! fast refresh rate, incredible colors, curve is nice. i haven't seen any dead pixels. all that said... almost exactly 2 years after receiving the monitor the vertical lines began appearing, like others have mentioned. only seems to happen when waking from sleep. since the start i noticed that the black uniformity / bleeding made it almost unusable at max brightness in my dark room. i had a previous return in for this issue but figured it wasn't worth my time. now that we have the vertical lines i will be requesting a repair. good thing there is a 3-year warranty. finally, if you're buying this for hdr, look elsewhere. there are few local-dimming zones so the hdr effect is just not great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horizontal Lines like everyone else with the 1 and 2 star reviews, this monitor got the lines exactly 2 years in as well. only now, a couple months with the lines, they won't go away after warming up anymore. it's basically unusable now and of course no more warranty. it's trash now and samsung should really refund me at least something to buy a new monitor. worked amazing for 2 years though lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Careful like many others, within a few months of purchase, my monitor started having interference lines across the screen for the first 10-15 minutes of startup. i attempted to have it repaired by service department after chatting with a rep online, but the cost was placed on me. i liked the monitor while it lasted but overall i am very hesitant to buy another from samsung after this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great specs overshadowed by quality control issues this is my 2nd monitor of this type with the first one having major issues with the display. this one still has a major bleeding spot on one of the corners. still when playing games and watching movies the image quality is absolutely great. however, after 2 years now it has developed a major issue when switching on: vertical distortion lines appear after switching on from cold state and takes about 30 minutes of warm-up time to have them vanish. hdmi 2 doesn't work and suffers from frequent resets. the monitor also doesn't always report the correct frequency even after fw 1023 update. samsung seriously dropped the ball on qc here, while i am looking desperately for a replacement i will not give into temptations to buy any successor product if they don't considerably improve on qc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lines everywhere about 10 months after purchase i got the vertical lines that are pictured in other reviews. i had to wait to contact costumer support and work at home with the lines for a few months. low and behold my warranty ran out. i will not be purchasing from samsung again. they need to stand behind their product and make one that lasts at least a year if not multiple years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Stand and Short Power Cable I bought this last month, I had to return it once because it arrived with a huge crack in the screen. The second one works fine thus far. Performance / usage wise I have no complaints. But external-design wise this thing is awful.The mount is absoluetly massive, it will take up your entire desk for no reason. If you buy this be prepared to shell out additional cash for a aftermarket stand or mount. The power cord is really short, which is compounded by the distance the monitor sits from the stand. The inputs are placed on the bottom of the monitor meaning if you are unable to get behind your monitor it's going to be really hard to plug things in unless you're really good at doing so blindly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flicker in ultimate mode This monitor has horrible flickering in games while it's in ultimate mode. Tried every firmware available to no avail. Now my monitor is out of warranty and I'm pretty much out of luck. I can't explain anything on customer support. So I can't tell you my experience. All of my TV/monitor panels are samsung. Looks like I'm going to look elsewhere.

It's now out of warranty. A good feature packed monitor with terrible quality control. And the stand is far too deep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stay Far Away. i have had this monitor for a total of 3 days. it is beautiful when it works, but like so many others mine suddenly got distorted and filled with lines. i have used it for probably 3-4 hours total in this time. unlike others, mine does not get fixed when its “warmed up”, and power cycling has done nothing to fix the issue. i purchased this monitor over countless others because of the reliability i assiciated with the samsung brand. unfortunately my trust in the brand is now gone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best gaming monitors I have owned. the monitor works great. very good picture and response times while gaming. the first one i bought had a dead pixel but under warranty, samsung replaced it within a week. the second one i received has had no issues for over a year now. i wish the stand wasn't as intrusive so if you have a small desk it might be an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome monitor but hdr seems none functioning Excellent monitor, brilliant Deep colours with great menu system to customise your preferences. 144hz refresh is a standard with Minimal input and response lag. the only issue I can find is the hdr function is none operational running through windows 10 and in games that are supposed to support it. Games look far more impressive and colours are far more vibrant in a standard definition mode. If you find issues in game with ultimate free sync mode with flickering in game, try enabling vsync in Nvidia or ati display options and disable vsync in game seems to solve flickering issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Monitor, showing a little age this monitor has been perfect for gaming and working from home with a little bit of an issue in the last few months. when i start the monitor it often has lines at least along the bottom. sometimes across the whole screen and it takes little time to go away. this is frustrating but once it goes away it performs really well. maybe i got an unfortunate monitor?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AVOID ! to be fair, the product looks great when it works. stunning color, clarity & picture. but the actual quality of the unit is sub-par in my experience. it started flickering ,color banding at the 1 year mark . this was used as a gaming monitor heavily on weekends only, and rarely during the weekdays. then the 'repaired' unit power & mainboard went out after only 7 weeks. this 2nd bad unit was a hassle to get back to me. i endured a long wait, multiple more cs agents, no info etc..yet eventually got a repair/ exchange unit back around mid 2019.... now the unit has blown out again.... # 3 time. after about 1 year again of weekend gaming usage. obviously the parts just can not hold up running at it's advertised 144 hz for very long.

If you keep the monitor on, the stripes will eventually disappear. This is not hte quality I expected. Would not recommend buying this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for gaming I bought this monitor nearly 3 years ago and until the 2 year mark, never had an issue. This monitor was NEVER turned off. Im disabled and game about 6 hours a day plus I do research that includes a LOT of video. Color is awesome, longevity is good and the 144hz means no flicker (unless other end of the connection is meh) My ISP has been 150-350Mbps so if the image is bad it has been because of the other end of the connection, not the monitor or my equipment. I run an MSI board with and I7 7700k CPU and twin 1080GTX cards. I've never had this quality of image with any other monitor. The issue after 2years is that the bottom of the monitor is showing fluctuating lines about a half inch high making the start bar unviewable for the first minute of boot up. Even with that being an issue, it didnt occur for 2 years of 24/7/365 of being on. it even went thru 2 moves without a hiccup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major flickering and no signal from display port hi, expecting samsung to be leading manufacturer in displays i got this chg70 monitor to support my gaming pc. major issues: 1. i cannot use 144 hz with amd freesync/hdr, it only caps to 100hz. hdr seems to be a hit and miss making the colors/brightness weird/dim respectively. 2. i thought my screen is faulty but seeing other reviews i see it is a major issue across all the monitors. it takes a long times to go to different sources, often times it won't respond. i have attached a video showing the flickering when i changes wallpaper(one of many instances). i hope samsung can escalate this issue and provide proper customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monitor uses PWM, mixed performance The monitor uses low frequency PWM(very fast on and off switching to mimic brightness regulation) instead of direct current voltage regulation. This wouldn't be a problem if samsung didn't lie about this by claiming that it is "Flicker free" when setting the brightness below 100 and taking a picture with a phone reveals that it is a sham all along.(it's flickering like crazy because it uses PWM and obviously causes eye strain in dark light) The picture looks noticeably noisy due to an agressive anti reflection coating and scanlines are visible on solid shades because there is a fairly thick black gap between lines of pixels(taking an up-close zoomed picture of the monitor reveals it) I was quite underwhelmed by the gaming performance too, under low framerate with freesync awful white ghosting appears on moving objects, violent dimming/brightening of the screen ("flicker") appears too whenever a stutter occurs(e.g. games loading). In high framerate conditions purple smearing appears on outlines of moving/rotating objects(for example health bars over enemies in a game). Another problem is the OSD, it is just too poorly explained so each setting has to be thoroughly tested on a test page to understand what it does.(for example setting Contrast above 75 causes clipping, but it isn't written anywhere on the OSD) It is not possible to change brightness of the "fast response time"(strobe) mode(i.e. brightness of the backlight strobes in that mode is fixed, and cannot be changed by any means) There is also a problem when color saturation and contrast are reduced(which i need to do because of the PWM, otherwise it's unbearably bright or the flicker hurts my eyes under prolonged use), it causes subpixels to randomly light up when a dark image is displayed. The colors are inexplicably yellowed whenever the active preset is set to Custom mode, and no user-changeable setting appears to change this. In overall i'm disappointed and do not think it deserves better than a fair or average rating, because it is either a downgrade or the same in all aspects but size and resolution compared to my dying Samsung C24FG70 if we exclude HDR, I expected better... but not this.

I had read all of the dead pixel reviews and knew mine would be perfect because almost every piece of electronics my family owns is Samsung. Five days in, two pixels that will turn white, grey, red, yellow, but when black lands on them they turn BRIGHT red. I'll call Samsung but based on the reviews there won't be anything I can do. And that sucks because I am a crazy Samsung activist, or was ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst monitor i ever had. Looks cool, have a ton of features which may or may not work. The issues i had with it. Loosing signal- billion times. Not while gaming, but on loading screen, or just lauching game. Turning freesync on and off sometimes help but if i buy a monitor for this price i want to use all of it's features. Early on i had an issue if the pc was idle for long enough the monitor lost signal and couldn't make it alive again, just after restarting my PC trough remote desktop. OH BTW the build quality is a very cheap. You can only assemble it in it's original box, and there is a weak part on the back which broke in the second i touched it. HDMI min refresh rate is 100hz, so got to use DP. DP port have even more issues, like lines on the bottom.

It has gotten a ton of firmware updates, but it hasn't fixed the flickering. Also, none of the firmware updates has any patch notes. And they have the firmware for both sizes of the monitor (27in and 32in) listed on the Support page for each monitor. And they don't explain which is for which. Also, the Korean version of the Samsung Support website has newer firmware which hasn't been uploaded to the North American or UK website. So we're missing out on important firmware. I've tried to tell Samsung Support but they are completely clueless as always.

I use this mainly for FPS with the X1X. I have found 1 single dead pixel on the far right side, it is not noticeable when monitor is being used.

Oh and the monitor needs to warm up 10-15 minutes each time or you'll have tons of vertical purple lines running up and down. Basically same issue everyone else is having. Also I have to send the monitor for repairs which atm with CORVID-19 going i'm prolly not going to see my only monitor for WORK for months. Techs response " cookie cutter im so sorry"

Ran great for just over 12 months, then found the same issues that most other people who have commented on here have found, blurred horizontal lines appearing across the screen. First they would appear only while it warmed up for the first few weeks, now they do not disappear and am currently in the middle of RMA process. Cannot recommend this product which is disappointing because it was great before the issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be weary, get warranty I got maybe 3 to 4 hundred hours of screen time on my monitor before it quit on me. I have confirmed the external AC/DC converter supplies 22.5 volts, but I have no cords thick enough to test the current. For sanity I tested the monitor with a separate compatible AC/DC converter to no avail. I am convinced the monitor's internal power system does not work anymore. At first the JOG button would bring up incorrect menus verified to be wrong via the manual. Eventually the screen and LED would no longer turn on. When the monitor worked I couldn't have been happier with it. First screen above 60 fps and I had no qualms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won't last i have been using this for about one and a half years. it starts to randomly go off recently. have to unplug and wait for a while so it could be turned back to work. it is a disaster for working as the texts never display properly. i am not sure it is the resolution or just the panel. i have a 4k monitor right next to it on the same pc. so the text display quality is quite obvious. the price, to be honest, is overpriced. the monitor is claimed to support hdr. but i never got it to work in hdr. a service request is submitted. see what they say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware! it was great for about eight months, and then it started displaying all those vertical lines others have mentioned. samsung is unable to repair this monitor. instead of fixing it, for free under warranty, or providing me with a refurbished one, or providing me with a new one, they offered an ecoupon and kept reducing the amount. originally it was enough to buy a new one, but now it is less than that, and i would have to pay samsung an additional $96 for a replacement monitor that should have been provided by them for free since they could not fix my old one. i will not do this, so i am out of a monitor, and samsung is out another customer. no, i do not recommend this monitor. goodbye samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avoid This Monitor i had his monitor since 10/12/2017. it was a descent monitor while it lasted. the colors are a little washed out compared to an ips panel. the response time was good. the viewing angles are not so good. after 2 years of using it, it started having lines across the screen. i registered my monitor and was in warranty until 10/12/2020. i tried contacting samsung for a service request but they said it was not covered by the warranty. they stated that the monitor had "physical" damage. the monitor been sitting in the same spot for almost 3 years. poor customer support and it seems that other reviewers are having the same issue. will not be purchasing another samsung monitor again. this happened to both of my monitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flickers and glitchy with HDR monitor conveniantly is now flickering since warranty ended for it. have to wait for it to warm on every start up now. turning on freesync 2 sometimes gets it stuck on hdr when i don't want it on and no windows setting to turn it off because windows doesn't recognise her is enabled by the monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monitor was great till ...... i loved this monitor , it was great for the time it worked. as most people wrote about two years and then the pixels started appearing on start . it usually takes about 15 mins for it to heat up and lose most of the lines . today black flags started also to appear and some dark marks on the black parts of the pictures. i have contacted samsung however been told that the repair would have to be done for my own packet as the warranty is gone .....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vertical Lines Appearing on Screen this monitor was okay while it functioned. however, it has recently started malfunctioning. vertical lines of dead pixels are now manifesting. what's worse is that if you are in canada (ontario), the only repair center available has a horrendous track-record with 1-star reviews across the board. i don't think i can recommend anyone in canada buy samsung monitors, unless they improve their warranty and out-of-warranty repair options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY!! tldr; i bought 3 of these. one has been sent in for repair twice in less than 12 months. another is now completely unusable with the same issue in under 18 months and samsung is telling me i have to pay for the repair. it is only a matter of time before the 3rd monitor craps out. about 1.5 years after the initial purchase, a second monitor has succumbed to the lines/blurry image problem. restarting the monitor doesn't fix the issue and samsung is now asking me to pay for the repair when it is obvious this monitor has a defect out of factory. for such an expensive monitor from a reputable name brand like samsung, you would expect it to have a longer lifespan with better customer support. do not buy. you will regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Broken Monitor with worse customer service got this "repaired" for the vertical lines under warranty 3 times. each time they keep the monitor for 1-3 weeks with little to no updates from their service center so you can't track the progress. the 3 week service time was because they momentarily "lost" the monitor. clearly a manufacturers defect as reported by everyone in these reviews. monitor is finally out of warranty and they won't repair any longer unless i pay. i'm not paying for this thing to mess up again in 3 months. can't wait for the generic "we stand by our products and only produce the best quality" customer service comment. this product is a joke for $500.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture is fine, but I got the lines. i bought two of these after a ton of research, and i knew there were some issues, so that's on me. as with everyone else, i got the dreaded vertical lines after a year of ownership. both monitors require 5-10 minutes of "warm up" before the lines go away. absolute waste of $1000. i'm unwilling to wait for samsung to fix this and be without monitors for weeks. they can send me a working replacement or i'll just buy something else. the picture is nice (hdr is useless though, don't even bother, the brightness is too low to be usable), but that's about it. this is a very poorly made product with a huge design/manufacturing flaw that samsung seems unwilling to address. look at the responses to these reviews - they are all the same pr nonsense. don't buy this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beware i have purchased 2 chg70 monitors and a cfg73. the two chg70 monitors have both failed during the warranty period. the cfg73 is starting to have the same lines for 5-10 minutes issue just past its warranty period. highly recommend avoiding these if not all samsung monitors. a 100% failure rate is pretty bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have read these reviews. same problem as everyone else. just out of warranty the display is useless due to the lines everyone else is complaining about. i almost pulled the trigger on getting it repaired for $160+ then i looked at the list of samsung products on my account and realized that every single one of the devices on that list quit working in less than 2 years. it was great while it lasted. that was the case for all of these devices. i hate to say it, but i don't think i'll ever buy another samsung device.

The image was terrrific, the curved monitor makes for a great display in a compact space and the multiple image modes were fantastic. Unfortunately, the issue where lines appear when waking up from sleep (there's lots of info about this online) started about 2 years after I bought it after it was out of warranty. There doesn't seem to any fix available. I've been consistently impressed by Samsung products until this. I won't be purchasing another Samsung monitor after this experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Experienced issues in less than a year The display began showing horizontal lines completely obscuring the lower 20% of the monitor less than a year after purchase. Currently the problem has expanded such that horizontal lines occlude the left side of the screen as well. This problem persists for probably 10-15 minutes after turning the monitor on each day and continues to get worse as time progresses. When it works it is very good. I hope I will be able to get the monitor back from warranty repair but that has been a very difficult process so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Willing to change review with some proper support this monitor is ok, i appears that i got lucky and my monitor doesnt have many of the issues that are common in the reviews. i am disappointed with is performance in 144hz low response time mode. it does not display properly and makes weird flashes. in order to use low responce time mode i have to turn it down to 120hz i wish that there were more information on how to set it for good picture settings and low responce time mode. so i will change this review to 4 stars if i get a support responce with proper settings for the lowest responce time this means is gsync on ultamte, low or off. what frame rate what responce time mode. and for hdr what picture mode, gsync settings and response time for best movie viewing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faulty model like many 1,2-star reviewers i encountered the problem with lines appearing after the monitor is powered. twice. 1. slightly over a year after the purchase lines started to appear after the monitor is on and they went away after several minutes. every time it got worse, finally these lines would not go away. repairs were covered by warranty and were free and i don't have complains about the service. the whole screen was replaced with a new one. 2. 10 months passes and i now have the same exact problem again. but the warranty is over and the replacement would cost me $350 with a month warranty. samsung, this rate of failures is not acceptable. you should recall this model. there is clearly a flaw in the design or production.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad Quality Control, Terrible Support i have three of these monitors, and all of them experienced the startup issue many others have posted about, where the monitor will have distorted display for a good 10-15 minutes until the monitor warms up. additionally, one of the monitors has an issue not detecting firmware, which i sent in as rma (shipped at my expense) only to have it returned with the issue still present. beyond those issues, the monitor also exhibits horrendous ghosting when utilizing freesync. i will never buy another samsung display again.

After the first two months had horizontal lines that got worse and worse over time, to the point now where they're permanently on. I understand it's two years after purchase, but still. I paid close to $500 for this product and to see it faulty so soon is very offputting and leaves a sour taste. Possibly my last purchase from Samsung.

White, Red, Blue, Green, and shows not video. I sent it back to get it fixed and came back a week later. After two weeks of usage it happened again even though it got sent back and fixed.

It's a beautiful monitor with great colors and the VA panel is really light on the eyes, unlike sone othwr IPS options which is ideal for me. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Monitors I bought two of these monitors, to replace my old ones from another brand, I am enjoying them so far, the picture is crisp and buttery smooth, I play games on them, do my work, watch youtube and so far they work like a charm, so the reason as to why I am giving them a 4 star rating over the perfect 5 star is because unfortunately life isn't all sunshine and rainbows. My colors are off, one has more of a green tint to it over the other, I have tried playing with the settings and sadly I can't get them to match, so I've stop trying to mess with it, other then that issue I can not complain, even with this problem they are working flawlessly.

It was very fluid to my eyes and shown beautiful color on videos I would watch. I would use this monitor for casual browsing and watching videos. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same horizontal lines didn't realize this was such a widespread issue. horizontal lines happened to me about 2 years and 2-3 months after i got it, just out of warranty. takes about 20 minutes to warm up and then i can power cycle the monitor to get them to go away, or about 30 minutes if i don't power cycle it. other than that, the hdr is pretty worthless because it only has 8 large dimming zones (4 on each side split down the middle). it's better to just have those dimming zones turned off than to have the unusual dimming in rectangular sections of the screen

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks ok for an unsupported product bought this thing a few years back and in all that time they have offered support for the korean model and jack squat for the us model. looks fine in sdr, hdr blows, everything looks washed out, games freak out. only run it in sdr and forget the hdr hype. i am willing to bet the korean one is better since they give attention to it. checked with support and the c32hg70qqk is on 1024 while the us one, c32hg70qqnxza is on the same barely compatible firmware they released when it first came out. don't waste your money until they fix the support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serious Problems With LEDS since Day 1 this monitor has serious problem with the led. this has been happening since the first month i got it but i was too lazy to return it since i bought it with a company subsidy for moving work to home during the pandemic. it has a static led appearance when first booting up and takes 5-10 minutes to disappear. after that, the monitor is amazing. but i absolutely hate that it takes so long to actually be functional. its so hard to get the menu to pop up using the button on the back of the monitor. even after owning this for over a year, i dont know if i need to double click, long press, single click, to pull up the ui to change settings and sources. i have tried everything to fix this issue with the led. i have tried completely new cables, resetting the device to factory defaults.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lines on Screen After 2 Years i've had this monitor since december 2018. up until a month or two ago, i would have said this is one of the best monitors i have ever had. well, that has now changed. i am now getting the lines and corrupted images across the screen when the monitor is first turned on. at first, the lines would go away after a few seconds, now they are taking a couple of minutes to go away. i'm anticipating needing to buy a new monitor in the next few months now. i really expected a $600 samsung monitor to last me at least 5 years or longer. this is ridiculous! of course it is out of warranty. i don't think i will ever buy a samsung monitor or tv again because of this. it's not worth the risk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worked well.... for 2 years out of the box it worked fine. now two years later, i didn't turn on my computer for a week and when i came back i had horizontal lines across the whole screen. after about 15 minutes or so the monitor seems to warm up and they go away. then it started happening after 2 days, now it happens if i leave the computer off for even 24 hours. many many others have posted about this issue now and while mine has not gotten stuck yet i do expect that to happen any day now looking at the rest of the reviews. hdr was misleading because if you turn it on the screen is actually darker than with it off. i didn't care about hdr at the time so i let it go. bottom line if you don't want real hdr and only want a monitor for 2 years go for it. otherwise there are better $500 monitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a gamer, same ~2ish year issue on work monitor ive owned this for 2 years and now having major issues. replacing with another manufacturers product.the screen can’t handle togl between windows and goes black.sometimes a few seconds but often have to turn off and/or unplug the peripheral and then replug and repower.very frustrating, interrupts my work day about 5-6 times on average.sometimes will also go almost completely white with some visible font but have to turn off and turn on the monitor.the 27inch has new firmware and i tried to find a copy for the 32’ but couldnt and samsung chat support is useless.i was transferred around and it felt like they were just trying to transfer me until i got frustrated and quit.mission accomplished after 45 minutes of going roundabout the problem.should have been recalled,samsung avoiding losses.

Bought this monitor about 2 years ago or so and have had the same problem just about everyone else has been have with vertical line and artifacting. This monitor had been great while it functioned properly but now have to wait 5-10 min just to be able to get any work done at my computer has sorta killed this monitor for me. If this is the kind of quality one can expect from Samsung monitors then I will be looking to other companies in the future.

After waking from from being asleep there are all sorts of lines and artifacts on screen. The photo's already posted are exactly the problems I've been having. I just spent $1200 on a new video card I didn't need after all because it was the monitor all along. I've never had a monitor go bad and Samsung is, usually, very high quality, so I didn't see how the problem could be the monitor, but it clearly is. Samsung C32HG70QQN monitor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, but screen artifacts for a bit on start up I bought this product and had a good impression for the first few months, but then it started showing visual artifacts of horizontal lines when powering on. It's a bit annoying but goes away after a couple minutes or so. I also didn't really prefer the auto standby status when powering off a connected device. I use multiple inputs for different devices and would like to switch to another without having to pre select a new input before powering one off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Bad Monitor I wouldn't buy it again. Not surprised to see the reviews plummet since time of purchase. I haven't had many of the major image distortion issues others have had, but a pixel died immediately and large patches of light creep in at the edges even when a black screen is being displayed. This makes the HDR feature, which leaves much to be desired even without this issue, pointless. Also 1 pixel in the middle of the display stuck on red almost immediately, which is frustrating.

I decided to purchase a second to help with work flow and organization. Ever since I have added this monitor to my desk I have been more than pleased with its performance. Initially the 24" screen size had me a bit wary of how good the clarity and quality of the screen would be. As soon as I hooked it up I was blown away by the clear vibrant and quality picture that was on display. For a small form factor monitor, this one certainly packs a punch! The curved screen only adds to the experience making the viewing angle of the screen even more cohesive. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a smaller sized addition to their current set up. I am consistently impressed everyday with the performance and design of this monitor. Perfect addition to my workspace!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly disappointed monitor was beautiful when i first got it. it was perfect. bright, great to use, i was quite happy. then a little over a year went by and i started having a similar issue as a lot of others have reported, whenever the monitor comes out of sleep, i get a ton of horizontal lines that obscure the view and i have to wait 5-10 minutes for the monitor to "warm up" before the image stabilizes. naturally the warranty ran out so i was sol. considering how many of these monitors have the exact same defect you would think they would recall and replace them all for free. but no, it looks like they're suggesting we actually pay for it to be repaired after we already paid a premium for it to begin with. highly disappointed and very unlikely i will purchase another samsung monitor or tv.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from $500 monitor broke after 2 years the monitor began malfunctioning on its own. at first i thought it was the video card and eventually realized it was the monitor. samsung advised that i'd need to pay to get it fixed. i think at $500+, a two year life is unacceptable. given the other reviews, i would avoid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor with decent picture We received this monitor as an add on and have to say it has been fairly reliable. The image quality is good however after a short time the monitor did develop some issues with lines. Not sure if this is due to some internal issue or what but reviewing some other reviews from this monitor it seems to be a common issue. Regardless this monitor has been solid and a great addition for my home office/gaming needs. It's used for both personal work, and pc gaming and does its job well. Could there be improvements, of course but when this was a free add on, cant complain about the monitor.

The display is amazing the fps is definitely what you pay for and completely worth it! Its a sleek looking designe, the 144Hz is great for gaming the higher the refresh rate is the newer the image is on the screen and the smother it looks, if you're running a game at 120 frames a second but you're only using a 60hz monitor the only thing half of those frames that you're actually pulling so 144 is the way to go

But 5 years pass, I got the same as everyone. The dead vertical line. It is great monitor. I've play PC and PS4 games with this monitor for 5 years and I'm happy with it. Until I got dead vertical line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Screen distorting on warmup As with so many others, I have begun seeing worse and worse screen distortion on warmup over the last few months after almost two years of ownership to that point. When I put in my serial number to try and get warranty support, I am told the warranty expired over a year ago, however the product page where this was purchased says it is a 3 year warranty. I am not sure how to proceed from there.

Heh after few years of Keeping broken monitor chg70 i finally see that not only me had same issue with lines, So my problem was I had Very visible lines on screen and after few minutes they become barely visible but always visible. So at this point I wondering is that really good strategy to make monitor that will burn after 2 years? No-one will buy same brand that burn after only 2 year's.... And feeling after that stays for very long time. As much my every phone, headset, watch and even kitchen electricity is Samsung I will never ever buy Samsung TV/Monitor again... Specially is not like Samsung have best picture quality over all brand's Anyway we'll play Samsung you lost monitor/TV customer.

Perfect for Samsung, let’s spend another $590 on some trash. Also love the videos on insta of the technician cutting the tv to void the warranty. Probably just doing what he’s told

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shows horizontal artifacts after warranty expired Bought this over a year ago, but recently started showing horizontal line artifacts when turning on. This mostly happens after leaving the monitor off for a long period of time. It takes several minutes for it to go away, but sometimes it doesn't fully go away unless I kind of press on the back of the monitor. Warranty already expired since it is only covered for one year, and I don't want to possibly pay almost full price for a repair.

At first after buying this monitor it had few dead pixels so I had to make a complaint and get a replacement which took around a month. And as many stated before, right after my warranty ended, vertical lines started appearing and went worse and worse. It has been two years since Iam battling with it and I am done. I will never buy another samsung product. Apparently USA got 3 years warranty and EU did not. I can not even count how much money it has cost me for electricity while waiting for the lines to disappear. I do not recommend buying any product, because while so many people has this problem Samsung does not care. They took our money and didnt have the courage to adress their mistakes or even try to fix them. They just charge you more. Absurd.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great if you plan on buying a new one every 2years Like everyone else, issues with the lines started to appear a couple month after the warranty ended. Samsung extended the warranty to one extra year in the usa to make it right but apparently since I'm in France I'm not allowed the same treatment. Support didn't want to know anything and only pointed out that my screen's warranty had eneded. Learned my lesson, I'll never buy a Samsung monitor ever again...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trash After a 1.5 years it's completely unusable. Purple lines across the screen similar to other reviews and of course there's no more warranty. I will never buy another Samsung product after so many issues with them. Don't buy this.
