Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its Okay!!The battery doesn't last more that two hours and they only had one color to choose from. I guess it will work, but we have lots of board meetings that run over 3hrs. that may be a challenge especially for the ones we have away from the building. I also find it disconnects constantly from the wifi and I have to reconnect over and over, which intefere with my work. I expected so much more from Samsung especially after pay over 2,100 after taxes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every PennyThis is my third Samsung laptop (Q470, 9 (2014 and now 2019 Pen. This is my first tablet with pen PC (Note 2,4,8 Phone user). Purchased about a month ago, I wanted to wait to review this.I have zero complaints. Built quality is phenomenal. I’m a brut on laptops most barely make 3 years. This has an excellent long-term rugged design that will last a long time if taken care of. Smaller than the 2014 15” model (more like a 13 inch, but still keeps the screen size). Lighter by a pound too, makes a huge difference. I keep looking in my backpack to make sure I have it in there.Paint quality is excellent too. Much harder coating than previous versionsKeyboard layout is perfect match for those familiar with the Samsung touch, feel and location. Keyboard feel is even better than 2014 Notebook 9. You’ll feel at home immediately. It took me a few days to sort out some details. Battery initially lasted about 11 hours. Then I found some things turned on by default like Bluetooth. Battery now lasts about 1.25 days of work. I run my own business, so this means up early (5:30am-ish, wifi on all day, put it down occasionally for conference calls, lasts all day and into 8-10am the next morning before it needs charging. Perfect.I write a lot of software manuals. 8th Gen i7 and 16GB DRAM makes a huge difference scrolling through a graphics laden 90-page document. Big improvement over 2014 model. I’m sure Nvidia only helps this process too.Fingerprint reader simply rocks. Not sure I could go back to a laptop without one now. Superfast logins, even from sleep mode. Just touch your finger to the key it wakes up and logs in. Time safer!Pen has been used to edit PDF’s I receive from a construction site, sign documents reply immediately, so convenient as I don’t have to go find a scanner/printer. I also purchased the external adapter hub. I have everything I need to connect to the legacy world in a very small package (except Memory Card Reader…next purchase)Expensive? Not really. Worth the investment if you need the hardware. This will be adequate for my needs for 4-5 years. Keep making great laptops Samsung….Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not so great as advertisedI bought this laptop with great expectation. My keyboard started acting up after month a half. I wanted to return and get my money back since it is still within 60 days. But tech support told me I can not return until they try to fix it. Why do I pay $1700.00 for laptop to have a breakdown in 2 months and still can not return the product !! Right now, tech support has it. I will update my review once I get it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Worth the HeadachePurchased the 15" NVIDIA model on the first day it was available. I must say, I am absolutely disappointed with Samsung on this one. Not that the laptop is a bad machine... The hardware in this machine seems fully capable of handling any task I throw at it. Processing power is all there. The screen is brilliant. The keyboard soft and keystrokes feel smooth. The S Pen is a wonderful and very responsive feature. All that accounted for, and I still believe it is not worth the headache. Purchase directly from Samsung.com and it will ship in very sub-par packaging. As others have displayed, it is incredibly susceptible to dents and scratches given there is only a layer of thin foam between the lid and any potential impact. They advertise that this laptop has a USB-C to HDMI adapter included- as another mentioned, it DOES NOT. These issues, among others are in my mind, not worth the hardware. If you run the gamble of having a top-of-the-line machine be delivered with damages incurred simply from shipping the item, what is the point of ordering a top-of-the-line laptop? If they say your purchase includes x-y-and-x, but it only comes with 'x' and 'y' how can they be trusted to deliver on anything else?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh My Gosh Amazing!I purchased the Notebook 9 Pen 15" with NVIDIA dedicated graphics and oh my gosh I love this computer. So the keyboard has a nice soft gentle touch to type but is a real keyboard. Love the way it feels! Sooo smooth! The screen is beautiful! When I flip the PC it goes straight into tablet mode which is like a massive Note 9, which i own so for me, this computer is amazing! I actually decided to buy this because the Galaxy Fold is not available as an Unlocked phone yet so I decided to go with this pc and save a little cash versus buying the Fold. I will probably buy the fold when it is released with an Unlocked version with a pen. The pen on this pc is super awesome, just like the Note 9's pen. I also have a Razor Blade Rz09 and it is a really nice gaming pc and this one is just right under the specs of my Razor. I really like Samsung's "bloatware" so for me that is an advantage. Most Samsung phone users would agree if they use the software on the phones as well. I would recommend this pc to anyone wanting a versatile computer with dedicated graphics that can just about compete with a gaming pc! Amazing computer!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good laptop, meets a lot of requirementsThis is a very good laptop and had a lot of features I was looking for. I tried 3 others before settling on this. Samsung seems to have fixed quite a few issues on their previous versions of this laptop. Quite a few low-starred reviews for this item actually reflect the older versions and may not be applicable, so do look at them in detail. This review is for the 2019 model. The picture of the keyboard in this entry does not reflect the 15" model. It seems to be taken from the 13" model. The Home/End/Pg UP/PgDn keys are all separate on the 15" model and not doubled up with the Arrow keys which is how you want it. I hate having to press 2 keys to do Home/End or Pgup/PgDn that I found in some other HP and Lenovo models I tried. Overall this is a good laptop that I decided to keep over the yoga 730, hp elitebook and LG gram. Pros: Bright screen, 350 nits. 500 in outdoor mode. Sound is pretty loud. (See note in the Cons) Weight < 4lbs. It really does make a difference when laptops go over 4 lbs I think. Its quiet, the fan rarely comes on. Even when it does its not very loud. It doesnt get hot with normal browsing/MS Office use/video watching use. The S Pen is simply awesome. Feels very close to writing on paper. Resting your hand on the screen to write doesn't make it go crazy. I wish I had this on my work laptop, would've been great in online meets to share ideas on a digital whiteboard. Trackpad is smooth and has right amount of tactile resistance. Cons: The location of the speakers is on the bottom like many new laptops these days. Although it seems crazy to put the speakers on the bottom of the laptop, the sound is not affected much except when you place it on a soft flat surface like a mattress when it may sound muffled. On a hard surface it does add some sort of bass or boom to it I think. The screen is 15" not the 15.6" you see in most 15" laptops. Although 0.6" doesnt sound much, it does look smaller when held by a 15.6". Battery is not bad, but not the 15 hrs they advertise. I would say you'd get about 7 hrs of basic browsing/ms office/video streaming usage. The keyboard is not great. Although keys are not totally sticky, the tactile feel is rickety, they are a bit clackety and feel cheap. This was the biggest disappointment. The arrows are awkwardly placed that need getting used to. The mute, volume button location will need getting used to as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive laptop in a stylish packageConsumer Reports appointed the Notebook 9 Pen the "Best laptop of the Year" for 2019 in the 15-inch category, displacing the long-time champ, macbook pro. With 16GB ram and an i7 this laptop won't be your go to gaming rig, but for home and office use it's a workhorse, and Samsung didn't cut any corners with the build quality either: it's a solid feeling machine, and a suave looking one. Typing feels great with crisp key action and back lighting, especially compared to some 2-in-1s' floppy detachable keyboards. Samsung opted for a 1080p display rather than a flashier 4k panel, which I'm sure will disappoint some, but I think it's a good trade-off for extended battery life. Coming from a Samsung Note phone, I was expecting the 'value add' software from Samsung to have a similar level of polish on Windows as it does on their Android devices, after all they've been making Windows laptops for decades longer. Unfortunately this is the one area where the Notebook 9 is not living up to my expectations. Samsung Notes will sync via a Samsung account to the Android Notes app, so that's handy if you have a Note phone, but that's about the extent of the positives. Many features you may be familiar with from the Note line like 'screen-off writing' are not available on their Windows counterparts. Worse yet: Samsung's utility for updating device drivers is a complete mess with 2.5 stars in the Microsoft store. It keeps failing certain installs and updates, requiring manual installation. Despite these problems it's a powerful machine, and the S-Pen works great with Windows Ink apps so even if Samsung fails to get their software act together you still can't go wrong with a Notebook 9 if you're looking for a high performing 2-in-1 laptop.
