Sun Storage 6 Gb Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) REM Host Bus Adapter (HBA) provides high performance data transfer rates for mission-critical applications running from SAS drives. The Sun Storage 6 Gb SAS REM HBA allows for 256 SAS or SATA end-point devices and integrates the enhancements in PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 and SAS 6 Gb/sec technology.
The Sun Storage 6 Gb SAS REM HBA supports medium to large capacity internal server storage applications for Sun blade server systems. The HBA supports PCI Express 2.0 interface and is backward compatible with existing SAS products. New enhancements include End-to-End CRC (ECRC) with Advanced Error Reporting (AER), power management, hot plug support, and MSI/MSI-X and legacy interrupt generation.
