The B020-016-17-IP Console KVM Switch with built-in IP access allows secure access to multiple computers from a single KVM (keyboard, monitor and mouse) console. A single B020-016-17-IP can control up to 16 connected computers. It consists of an integrated 17" LCD monitor, keyboard and touch pad in a 1U rackmountable, retractable sliding housing.

The LCD and keyboard/touch pad modules slide independently of each other. To maximize space, the keyboard/touch pad module slides back to "hide away" when not in use, while the thin profile LCD monitor rotates back flush against the rack allowing convenient monitoring of computer activity.

The B020-016-17-IP features IP-based connectivity that allows one local operator and one remote operator to simultaneously monitor and access the computers attached to the console. Because it uses TCP/IP for its communications protocol, the B020-016-17-IP can be accessed from any computer on the LAN, WAN or Internet whether that computer is located down the hall, down the street, or halfway around the world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Product, but could use a few tweaksI love that we can remote in and control our servers at the BIOS level. Having a KVM that allows for that can be a lifesaver when on vacation or just off-site. The device is very sturdy and can collapse to a vary low profile. Overall I am very happy with the product. Ideas for the next revision include one button to scroll between the various devices connect, instead of using the < Control> and < Scroll> Keys. I'd also recommend doing away with the two metal tabs that lock the monitor in place when putting away. It's enough that I have to press the two sliders on the keyboard. I'd prefer not to have to press the two awkward metal tabs behind the monitor when I shut the monitor. It does not seem necessary. The monitor does not slide loosely, so it's not going to slam in. The monitor is very controlled due to the higher grade components. So, please consider adding one button to scroll between devices and make it easier to collapse the unit when finished. I would buy again, solid product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product - our new lab standardThis is a well-featured product. Very glad we switched to this model. IP connection from out desks to the lab is a great feature. I also really like the split keyboard slider and the monitor - you can leave the monitor up (and away from the server rack for airflow) - and still have fast access of the keyboard when needed. Thanks, Frank H

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ProductHas all the features we wanted: 16 Ports Works with USB or PS/2 cables Separate sliding keyboard & screen 1U size The thing that really sold us was the IP remote access. Fewer trips to the server room is always nice. We liked it so much, we purchased a second one.
