Energy-saving outlet configuration reduces energy waste (phantom loads) by cutting AC power to unused peripherals. The TLP76MSG has one always on outlet for those peripherals that need constant power like a fax machine, DVR or router. It also offer convenient, individual outlet switches that allow users to select which device is turned on and off. The TLP76MSG has 7 total outlets, 6 foot cord and diagnostic LEDs to warn of wiring problems and suppressor damage. Network-grade AC suppression rated at 1080 joules shields equipment from surges and line noise. We have a television, Blu Ray player, DVD player, media box, Wii console, internet dish, and internet router hooked up to our surge protector. We are able to individually power off any device we do not want to use or use the master switch to power off all devices. It is an excellent product. We highly recommend it!

We were constantly reaching under the table to plug something in or to unplug something that was not being used. Now we simply leave everything plugged in and flip a switch. The seventh outlet is always on making it ideal for something that doesn't need to be unplugged when not in use to prevent wasting energy. We use it for a table lamp.

I bought it specifically for the separate switches that allow me to turn on or off ports individually. I have gaming consoles that when turned off still draw electricity so with this product I can choose to have them switched off when not in use thus helping me save a little more on electricity. I bought two of these and they're awesome!
