Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phaser 8560MFP I purchased this machine on the recommendation from a friend. I wasn't convinced it would be as good as the sales staff made it out to be. After having the product for a few months I realized it was better than I had expected. The scanning is flawless and the printing is very impressive. I would recommend this machine to anyone that was looking for a high performance machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality, reds brown, high priced ink All the functions of the 8560MFP are satisfactory, except the reds print brown. Some color correction is needed. The ink is way too expensive. Scanning is very fast and easy, and you can bring up the web page of the printer and save your scanned images as PDF, TIFF, JPG and more. Networking is easy, but the drivers are sometimes problematic. One computer prints only in black and white.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well equipped for the price We were looking for an all in one machine for doing routine copying and printing as well as color for making signs for our retail business. We were replacing a Xerox 2424 which was an older machine similar to this one but without the fax. The 8560MFP gave us what we we're looking for. One critical feature for us that most of the less expensive color MFPs don't have is full duplex printing. Also all of the cheaper MFPs are ink jet which we did not want. While supplies for this printer aren't cheap they are much less expensive than the ink jet options out there. Scanning is fast and is two sided if you use the sheet feeder. Scan quality is very good. Also faxing works very well and very fast. I've been using this machine for nearly 2 years and have yet to have a problem I do have several criticisms. The biggest is that this printer is really slow, especially printing 2 sided. Also if it's not warmed up it takes several minutes before you see the first page. The color is great for our use but is nowhere near photo quality. If you need it mainly for charts and graphs you'll be quite happy. I wouldn't recommend this printer if you plan on doing high volume B&W printing or photo printing, but if you're looking for one machine for the small office that does everything, this is the one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color, easy fax/scan/copy. No messy toner. Having asthma, one of the things I appreciate is the color ink block so I don't have to inhale toner dust. It is a professional level printer with all the extras we all want--easy to use fax. The scan to your computer doesn't work with windows 7, but you can scan it and then retreive it from your computer as a pdf, jpg or tiff. You can get extra drawers to hold an awesome amount of paper. Easy to empty excess ink cartridge and replace the maintenance kit (lasts about 10,000 copies). Can do a lot of creative things with it.

The toner is easy to load and has minimal trash (irregularly shaped squares you just drop in). The only issue is that it calibrates often and it makes my office staff think somebody is printing something. Other than that...it is just wonderful! Economical too.

I chose the 8560 because it has alot of features, uses solid ink, and was very affordable. We have been using this printer for 4 months and have not had any problems. The print quality is excellent and the printer is very easy to use. I like the solid ink as i don't have to deal with toner cartridges. So far the ink has worked well and is no more expensive than toner. This is not a high-speed printer and that is probably my only regret. If I need a large number of copies, this machine isn't really made for that. Also, to me it is fairly loud when it prints. Overall though I would recommend this printer for a small office network printing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the solid ink So far my favorite mfp device we have bought for the office. We just bought a second one last week. Our first one we have had for two years. It is a solid performer and has required almost no intervention on our part. The solid ink has saved us a lot over paying for toner. These printers pay for themselves. Our whole office has been solid ink for over 3 years. The software is really easy to setup and the driver package works well even setting up on a domain is painless. It took me 2 minutes to add our new printer to the domain. Love it!

We have six computers hooked up to this copier and this product could handle many more computers. I would purchase another when this machine is ready to retire, but that could be a while. When we have had problems Xerox has been very quick to have us up and running again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Workhorse for Small Offices The Phaser 8560 MFP is a true one-stop does-it-all print/copy/fax/scan machine that I would highly recommend for small offices. It takes a little time to setup and configure for use, but once you're done with that it will just flat out work, and produce high quality vivid colors for any application you could need. I've produced real estate flyers on mine that look better than those I used to pay for from the local print shop, and the cost savings per page have resulted in it paying for itself in about a year. The scan features are very impressive, and the speed on lower resolution scans is very good. Output quality is as good as any I've seen from much larger and more expensive machines, and the option to scan directly to a PC folder is very beneficial. The solid ink technology in the Phaser also gives truer color when printing pictures (a big deal in my industry!0 as well as excellent resolution for higher quality printing. I would highly recommend this printer/fax/copier/scanner to anyone in my line of business, and it would be a very good addition or replacement for an office of up to about 20 users.

It is reliable and able to handle at least 200 copies per document at a time. However, there are two issues: the color is not true and the machine is slow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice printer Print quality is wonderful. Setup is non-trivial, but you only have to do that once. This beast seems a little nosier than average for its class. Biggest issue I have is that warm-up after the machine has gone to sleep is quite slow, but once it starts printing, it is very fast. If you only print a couple of times a day, this can be an issue, but in a shared environment, it only happens first thing in the morning. Love not having to toss toner cartridges. Overall. great device.

Since this is our first, our users are not accustomed to using such advanced features. Because the Phaser 8560 is set up with such ease of use, and we had such great customer service and a wonderful training session, we are able to take advantage of all of the fantastic features! I would highly recommend this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i LOVE this printer it does everything I could want a printer to do - fast, magazine quality color prints, full duplex, scanning, faxing - and the cost to operate is pretty cheap. This is my second Xerox Phaser. My first was great but it only was a printer - this all in one does it all. A true workhorse - we use it for everything - and it just works. I can't say that for other printers we have (or had). If it sounds like I'm gushing - I am. I like it that much.

We purchased our XEROX PHASER on the recommendation of a fellow Realtor. We were astonished at the quality of the pictures. Many folks have asked if we got our material from a professional printer. When we said NO, they were shocked! We'll never own anYthing other than a XEROX!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 4 weeks of use, my NEW Phaser 8560 MFP has shut down!!!??? After 4 weeks of use, my printer started telling me to clear a paper jam. Then, within a couple of days, it totally quits. Naturally on my busiest weekend of the year and there is no technical support available.....I've emailed the company and hope to get this matter resolved, however, the harm has already been done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One troubled machine This printer has been nothing but trouble, as other reviewers point out IDF (Integrated Document Feeder) works when it want to. The reason for such behavior most likely lies with Xerox's decision to keep the scanning lamp ON all the time. The surface of the scanner (a little strip that you can see once you open the document feeder cover) stays so hot that you will not be able to hold your hand on it. When ambient temperature rises the IDF sensors go nuts - printer reports paper in IDF or on the glass - even though there is nothing there. The only way to get it back into working condition is to power it off and let it cool off for 30 minutes. Then it works for another 15 minutes until lamp overheats and we are back to square 1. I've used and supported all makes and models of printers in medium size enterprise setting and this one is by far the most troubled printer I ever met. I was also surprised to see lack of "scan to folder" functionality in this price range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DISAPPOINTMENT I PURCHASED THE 8560MFP AND RIGHT FROM THE START IT WAS SO SLOW IN WARM UP MODE. AFTER TWO ATTEMPS TO REPAIR THE NEW MACHINE IT GOT UP TO MFG SPECS. PAPER JAMS ARE COMMON WITH THIS COPIER. MANY TIMES IT JUST DOSEN'T PRINT AND IF YOU PULL THE PAPER DRAWER OUT AND RE INSERT IT THE PRINTED COPY WILL PROCESS. I DO LIKE THE CRAYON TYPE INK BUT IT'S EXPENSIVE. WARM UP IS STILL TO LONG FOR ME TO LIKE THE MACHINE. SORRY I MADE THE PURCHASE.

This machine is a beast It can do everything: double sided scanning, automatic feeder, fax print copy. Loads of options. The colors are fantastic and despite some of the reviews here I disagree that this eats up ink. IT DOES NOT. The ink is consumed very efficiently and lasts a long time and I am running this machine constantly! I've never had any errors, or any issues whatsoever, unlike with previous machines I've owned. It's so easy to set u and use, it has great self-maintenance features. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Multipurpose Printer Pros: Great print/copy/scan quality! Love the solid color ink blocks! Reliable and hardly ever down. When it has gone down, printer is great at informing you about issues and how to fix them. Cons: Takes forever to warm up in the morning and noisy when warming up. Can take 5 minutes for the first copy/print in the morning. After that, it's very quick, unless it hasn't been used for a few hours, and then it takes up to a minute to warm back up. The worst is when it hasn't been used all night and it takes 5 minutes to warm up in the morning.

As good as the C2424 was, the 8560 is faster, quieter and has the ability to fax if I need to. Xerox Printers are durable and well built and if there is a problem, Xerox Customer service ranks with Apple as the best I have ever experienced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buying this product was an unfortunate mistake Although we like the solid ink, that is about the only good thing that I can say about this unit. I think that we must have been sent a complete lemon, as we've had multiple problems with it from day 1. We've had it serviced twice, and now that the warranty has expired, it is sitting here as a completely unusable boat anchor. It constantly says that the scanner is disconnected (even though we have tried all possible fixes), and therefore won't function at all anymore. We've had this unit for 17 frustrating months, and I think that we will be shopping for something different.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for small businesses The 8560MFP is phenomenal for the small business or church setting. Its fairly economical and has good print quality. It is super fast and easy to navigate through its vast functionality. We have had minimal service or breakdowns with this machine. Whatever you do, don't use aftermarket inks...they will destroy the printhead. Use only Xerox inks no matter what the competitors tell you. The only draw back to this machine is that it is a solid ink printer. It has great print quality for graphics or pictures but the ink will scrape off if you handle the document too much. Other than that, it is a dependable workhorse that will make you smile as your prints come flying off it in spectacular color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Color Prints - but compromised attributes Print Function: Best color prints I've experienced from a laser printer for … must be 20 years! First print of the day delayed due to warm-up time. Subsequent prints commands fairly quickly executed … unless the print is mostly photo image. Then processing could be a couple of minutes. Although convenient, the ink cubes are outrageously expensive, so beware. Sometimes, with very little use, I only dump waste ink as it burns through the cubes, needlessly consuming ink.. Copy function works quite nicely. Scan function: takes so much time to warm up that when finally ready one must redo the settings, (because the system automatically reverts to default settings) and execute 'Scan' again. This is a wonderful way to preserve documents (eg in pdf format) so as to decrease the paper storage chase. Unfortunately, retrieval of such scanned documents and images is agonizingly slow. Especially Tiff images (the default), but even a series of 10 pages of text retrieval (in pdf format) can cost the user 4-5 minutes of down time for it to show up on the computer. Fax function: I don't use this ancient technology. Acrobat is more universally applicable.

Time to print isn't bad and the color is great. If I have the need to buy another color unit, I'll definitely consider another Phaser.

For small offices that only use a copier minimally, the time it takes to reproduce one copy - is not effective.

The print and color quality is great, it has a variety of features (scan, copy, print, and fax), and the double side printing/copying economizes by maximizing paper use. The speed is good and the 4 color sticks last a long time, especially when printing in economy mode. Energy saver mode helps to save electricity but reduces wait time for readiness to perform when needed. After 2 years, I have not needed any significant maintenance. The wireless adapter is a must and allows anyone to print who wants to. The only downfalls are 1) that the associated software does not provide scanning directly to a folder on your computer, but rather to a webaccess site (unless you have windows xp, but that does not quite work right either) 2) it comes out of sleep mode periodically when not awakened; and 3) the automatic feed does not quite evenly advance the paper.

This machine has amazing color print quality love it but to use it most people at my company have a hard time sending faxes on it and don’t really like doing the manual copy jobs on it because it is so slow so its okay not great but the quality in print color is good just would not recommend it for a busy office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lacks Reliability This printer has been nothing but disappointing from the start and has only gotten worse over time. While network printing is easy to set up and use, other feature are so difficult to establish as to be rudimentary. Do not even try to fax from your computer. The real issue, though, is the ink and ink jets. I use only Xerox ink for cyan because of its rich color. It does nothing, however, but clog up the jets. Jet substitution works for one or two failed ports, but when the clogs are extensive, substitution is of no help. The cleaning process, too, is of little use for clogs. It merely eats up ink and paper. I’ve reached the point with this beast that I consider it too big for a doorstop and too bulky for a boat anchor. I cannot determine what it is now good for except landfill.

We print on many different media types and have had very few jams. We have the most basic version without the document feeder and it can be very frustrating and time consuming sending long faxes or scanning multi page documents so if you have the money I would certainly recommend this option.

Overall a great quality All-In-One for ther budget-conscious small office. We use the Phaser to scan and convert our public records into electronic document format. We also use it to print brochures, flyers, advertisements, and the Board Agenda. Very reliable machine. We are very happy with this Xerox product.

Printing or making copies, the quality of the print is such that it is sometimes difficult to tell the original from the copy if you don't keep them separated. Unfortunately, the print quality is the only saving grace. The problems we have are as follows: 1. Slow to warm-up 2. Slow to print 3. Slow to copy 4. Jams when trying to print 2-sided 5. Jams when copies are being made and someone else sends a document to be printed 6. When you clear a "print" jam, the machine continues to print the same document and continues to jam until the person who initiated the print request clears the request from his/her computer. 7. The envelope feed direction is backwards. The diagram on the envelope feed suggest you enter it in one direction and it really requires the opposite direction 8. Faxing is a nightmare (we scan and email because the fax doesn't always work) 9. We had 4 service calls the first 30 days and two of the calls required new parts We have actually given the copier a name...Gertrude

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All in all, I love this printer Before I purchased a Xerox 8560 PFM w/Duplex, I purchased a new top end color laser duplexing printer every twelve to fourteen months. I do a lot of color and duplex printing, so I can wear out the mechanics of a printer in no time. The printer does a great job. The color and quality is outstanding. I love the duplex option and feeding is reliable. The blocks of ink are simple, easy to use and very clean with no mess. No ink cartridges or trays to dispose of or recycle. This is a fool-proof system. The warm-up time for the printer to start is a little longer than inkjet or laser printing but ppm printing and duplexing is super fast. The only feature that needs improving is the envelope/custom paper tray. Envelope auto feeding is not reliable and has to be hand fed most of the time. The pictogram describing the loading of the envelope is backward and will print the envelope upside down if you follow the directions. The tray also requires the envelope guides be moved to the widest point after printing an envelope, in order to flip the extended page support platform between the guides, in order to shut the tray door. Same thing in reverse to load an envelope. Despite some minor envelope feeding and loading issues, this is the best color duplex printer I have found. This is the cleanest and simplest printer to service and use. Ands the first duplex printer that has lasted me more than a year, and still prints and operates as well as it did on day one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review of MFP I would recommend the MFP printers by Xerox for use in any school or business. The features I especially like include the ability to scan and retrieve from a web browser. The features allows me to retrieve the file in several different formats and easily remove the file from the web browser. The photocopy function is very helpful to my teachers. The only thing I would like to change is the ability to set the default tray to the manual feed tray instead of tray 2. This might be easy to do but I have not figured it out yet. (I'll get to it soon). If a paper does jam in the machine (which is rare) it is easy to remove the jam. All points seem to be accessible. We have two MFP in our building and three other Xerox machines and they all work very well in an environment with both students and teachers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great multifunction printer but... This is a great multifunction printer with just a few small complaints. If you are looking for a quiet machine this is not the machine for you! I have the 8860MFP (next upgrade to the 8560MFP) at my office and it sits in the back file/copy room where we don't hear it much. I decided to get the 8560 for my home office and while I love the machine, it is quite loud. It mostly makes a lot of racket on warm up which it does everytime you go to use it after it has powered down into energy save mode. But it is also quite loud when you are printing. I have a TV in my home office and if I need to hear what is on TV while I'm working then I need to either pause the TV or turn the volumn up so I can hear it! Aside from the noise which is tolerable, my other complaint is the lack of print quality when printing a photo. I print alot of brochures with this machine with my photo on them for my business and while the brochures turn out ok, the photo is not great. But then again, it is a laser printer and not a photo inkjet printer so that is to be expected. Other than that, the print quality for everyday documents as well as professional presentation documents is far superior to any inkjet and MUCH faster. Most people that are looking for a laser printer tend to print a large quantity daily and need the speed that a laser offers as well as a good print quality. This machine provides excellent print quality (as long as you don't need to print photos with it) at a very fast speed. I have had this machine since 5/2010 and tend to go through 1-2 reams of paper a week with this machine and I have not had any troubles with it. Lastly, there is one downside to the fax machine. I used to have a normal separate fax machine that used the same line as my home phone. I had it set up so that if someone was sending me a fax it would automatically switch over to my fax machine which would receive the fax but if someone was calling and I wasn't home, they could leave a message on my machine. Unfortunately it was explained to me by the Xerox technician that the 8560 doesn't have the same functionaility as a traditional fax machine. I have the 8560 using the same phone line as my home phone and I am unable to use the answering machine at all. It has to be turned off in order for a fax to come through. Since most friends and family just use my cell phone to contact me, it is not an issue for me but if this would be a concern for you then you will want to look at getting a separate designated fax line into your home or office for this machine. Overall this machine does everything I need it to do very efficiently and I would highly recommend it if the few minor complaints I mentioned would not effect you.

The amount of steps you need to go through for walk up scnning makes it fairly useless. You should also be able to setup up a network share for the Phaser to send scans to.

Our experience with HP, Dell, Brother printers always left us with printing needs that were unfulfilled. The machines did not last and they could not handle our work load we put on them. Our office produces high volume, color brochures, programs and other related printed material to circulate and hand out to our members and their extended networks. We love that we are able to print in a single run, single or double-sided informational pieces and that the Xerox 8560 is able to handle anything we throw at it. Recently we were delighted to find out that we can produce our own mini newsletter and have it printed in book format. We are confident that having seen the quality and the glossy finish of this durable and yet versatile machine, our relationship with Xerox will continue for a long time to come.

It spits out printing and copying in seconds. The faxing capabilities are above average too. The scanning option umm......well it seems to be sensitive at times and you must set-up users exactly to the scanning options or you will have trouble. IMy Xerox also has a sensitive stomach and only pefers Xerox food (ink). Well overall im satisfy with the machine and would reccommend it to others. Thank you.

The web interface is fantastic, allowing you to save scanned documents as PDF's, TIF's, or JPG's. Print quality is great, the solid ink makes a sharp, crisp print of documents or photos. The printer is a bit loud when printing, but does not detract from the value. I purchased this for my home office and some might say it is overkill, but it does everything I was looking for. I print reports that have a lot of color images and the solid ink sticks are easy to use and last a long time. As I try to be friendly to the environment, the duplex feature is ideal to save paper. I would highly recommend this printer for anyone looking for an all-in-one, high quality office machine.

You could have just printed something and walk up to it to scan and you have to wait for it to warm up. Then once you do scan you have to wait quite a long time for it to appear in the software in order to download the image. The entire unit locks up when doing scanning and trying to download previous scans. It does not have SMB scanning which places the scan in a folder on the network without having to download it.

My only issue is that sometimes it's difficult to change the settings of the paper trays, and it can get "stuck" on a particular setting (i.e. "Labels" or "Custom Envelope"). I use the setting buttons to get it reset, but it doesn't always work.

I have had zero downtime and it is always ready to go. If you use it often you will definitely save money on consumables. If you do not use it a lot, I have found its best to leave it turned off or it will slowly eat your solid ink as it cleans itself. But as long as you're making copies on a regular basis this machine is fantastic. Easy to use. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine - generally very pleased. Prior to this 8560MFP, we were using a C2424. While very similar, this one adds the fax capability that the C2424 missed. That addition has made a major change in our uses. The print quality is superb, the scan function is really slick as we now store electronic copies rather than paper, and copies can look just like the original although we make copies at a reduced output quality. If there is a complaint about this printer/fax/scanner/copier, andit is necessary to search to find one, it is in the speed with which it prepares to perform the task. Even after a page is printed, the scan or fax function take a while to be ready.

The technician has replace the entire system board and it still is not performing optimally. You can try to go immediately from print to copy and the device has to "warm up". We have a few of these in use in our office and encounter the same problems with all of them. We avoid using this printer at all costs. The scan to file feature is cumbersome also. It would be much easier if it was scan to email.

This is an average machine - it uses the wax the technology for printing - quite litterally blocks of crayons in shapes that resemble a baby's block set which teaches them shapes. The engineers that I support have a difficult time with the setting up and use of the scan features. Once set up they do OK but most forget their 4 digit passcode that is required at the machine and on the website where their document is scanned to. Many of them do not trust the security of the website that thier scans are sent to. Speed - while I realize we are trying to save energy but every single function requires warm up time which takes - oh yea - time! Time that isn't always available to give while just trying to make a "quick" copy of something let alone to fax / print / scan! In all honesty my little HP Inkjet MFP at home is a lot faster and sharper plus a much more simplistic scan interface. PLUS the inkjet ink doesn't scratch off like the crayons do with with Xerox products. Finally the colors are not true - if you are seeing blue on the screen and you go in and you set every little thing that the printer requires to match it you still get green.

With our new Xerox printer our down time from jams is a non-existent. We send the job, the job prints--single sided or duplex. The colors come out beautifully and make our printing look great! We also love how easy it is to add ink--just open the top, drop in the ink blocks, close the top and all done! Well Done Xerox!!!!!

We have purchased 4 different Phaser models over the past 15 years. This one is clearly the best. We have learned that maintenance is key to keeping these machines running. Having them on a service plan has been a tremendous asset because we require high performance with little downtime. Printers are like cars, keeping them properly maintained is the key to a long worryfree lifetime. This is especially true for this very sophisticated printer with some potentially costly replacement parts. Overall we have been very happy with these printers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product but tech support is even better When we got our Phaser 8560MFP it had a scanner disconnect error. It took a week to get the issue resolved but now that it is resolved the printer is working amazingly. I have to say that I always recommend Xerox Phaser wax cartridge printers but I have had little or no experience with tech support (because these things just work) but when I had this problem printer tech support was fast to send out a technician (we had to have a tech come by 2 times actually) and get the issue resolved. I put 4 stars because a week without this printer is like a week without food. It hurts. But you cannot beat the speed, print quality, and the ease of use of this printer - everyone was able to use it with little or no direction. The scanning/storage of documents for users is amazing and the users (who aren't as technical as many) took to it within a day. I also gave 4 stars because I think the conversion built in with the printer (from tiff to pdf etc) could be a little better but I encouraged the users to just do PDF conversion using Acrobat. Despite the small hiccup with the printer due to the ease of support and the speedy resolution (I've seen printer hardware problems take months to resolve with another popular printer vendor - no names please) I always will recommend these Xeroxes!

This printer produces the best quality color documents at our job site. I have even received printing requests from our regional headquarters to do color print jobs for them because they are so impressed by the quality of the documents produced on this printer. The solid ink lasts much longer than liquid ink cartridges; the only drawback is that the ink is slick so if you use a lot of color then want to write on it you will have to find a pen or permanent marker that will work without smudging. I can print photos with this printer on regular paper or card stock. The picture quality is excellent--no need for expensive photo paper.

The drivers never support constantly have to update at this point I cannot get drivers to support it from anywhere, I could never get the scanner function to work correctly to scan to a computer. Every time it would create a problem. I'm considering buying a new printer but at this point I would never, never purchase a Xerox printer again.

Sometimes I can copy some papers staple them together and turn around to copy more and it is back in sleep mode and I need to wait for it to warm up again. I do like the eco friendliness of the ink.

It has allowed us to quit buying dozens of different and expensive printer cartridges for printers in everyone's offices. I can't remember the last time I even attempted to print to mine. It's really nice for everyone to have access to scanning. No more interrupting someone who had a scanner to scan sometime for them and then email it or copy it to a thumb drive. Our warehouse alone stopped copying 50-100 packing slips daily for "what if" we need to look at something that was pulled last week, last month, etc. They now scan it directly to the UPS computer for review if needed. We continue to find more and more uses for the scanning. The only complaint is the slow warm up for copying. Scanning is immediate, printing is very quick, but the system wants to go through a warm up cycle at every use for copying. It has the same throughput as our old copier, but takes longer to get there. All-in-all a very good unit I would highly recommend.

One problem with the solid inks is that writing on a printed page from this machine clogs the ball of the pen so it doesn't write. Fine if you don't care about marking up a draft for correction or if you don't care about taking notes. Otherwise it is very frustrating at times. 1 other thing. Be sure to add the cost of a maintenance contract to this machine if you buy one. You will need it and it is outrageously expensive to fix a machine that isn't under contract. You can hire a good surgeon or attorney for less than having a xerox repair man visit your office to do a repair without a maintenance contract. With a maintenance contract Xerox staff is highly responsive and professional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fulfilled all of our requirements My office needed a multifunction network device to take care of scanning, copying, and printing. My criteria included color two sided printing, color scanning and copying. I also wanted a printer that was easy to maintain and use and very reliable. The Xerox 8560MFPmet all of my requirements and more. The wax ink stix technology makes it much easier to operate and maintain than color toner technology. There are much fewer consumables and it is very easy to refill and keep in operation. It was reasonably easy to add to our local network and print server. I use the scanning function frequently and having the ability to save the images as high quality PDF files was an added bonus. The only problem I have had with it was when it was first purchased and installed. The main electronics board had some problem with it and I had to have a Xerox tech come out to fix it a couple of times until the problem was isolated and the faulty part replaced. Since then the printer has worked flawlessly I have purchased several different brands of network printers over the years and I have to say that I have found this brand and technology to be the most reliable and easiest to use. The print quality is excellent for standard office needs.

Most of the dealers tried to discourage me from purchasing this multifunction unit because it used the ink blocks, but after 2 years of use, I would not recommend any other printer/copier. Very easy to use, multifunctional, and no mess. But the best part was the cost. The unit cost me less the three quarters of what a color copier would have been. The quality of the copies/prints is exceptional. Hands down, this is a no brainer ! I would purchase the Phaser 8560MFP over any other copier/printer on the market.

These require beautiful flyers, sleek looking agendas, and eye catching documents. Many of these need to be double sided, which this machine makes quick work of. We are very proud of the quality and professional look that our Xerox Phaser 8560MFP All-In-One delivers in our printed materials. It also allows us to be very creative, because we no longer have to worry about limited options due to poor ink quality, printing, double sided work, or clean pages. In addition, our commitment to being "green" is verified by the wonderful non toxic ink, and "greenprint" manufacturing of the machine. We liked the quality of this machine so much that our office was part of a Xerox documentary made just for the University of North Texas.

Our 8560 has performed beautifully--literally no jams, no toner problems and no expensive repairs. We love the ease with which we can load the ink blocks--no messy hands or toner to clean off the printer, the floor, our hands, or our clothes. All of our volunteers love the ease of use of this machine and we have the added bonus of beautiful full color printing. The addition of the 8560 to our office has improved our efficiency, lowered our costs and improved the quality of our printed materials.

The only complaint we have is that the printer is slow to warm up when making copies at the copier. It prints quickly when sent from a computer. Although it touts a 30 ppm, print out rate, that's only in the "fast mode" which should really be called "economy/draft. mode." Also, the printer has drawback that when on Energysaver mode, if you want to send a fax or scan, the printer mechanisms have to heat up to, which is a waste in energy and wax cartridge. Although it would be nice if engineers could address this in a firmware update, it would also be nice it there was a mode where faxes are held and stored and then printed when you choose. Also for this price, you should get sscan to email.

SCanning direct to my pc has work without a hitch. The quality of the image has been great. Quality of actuall print jobs have been fantastic as well. Parts are as easy to get as any other printer. I love the way you can retrieve your scanned images. Print quailty is not very sharp. I have only a couple of issues with this type of printer/copier. 1 - It is difficult to write on any survace where the "ink" is located on the document due to the waxiness of the ink. 2 - The solid ink shapes are different for different models of this copier. We have a Phase 8400, Workcentre 2424 , and the 8560MFP and each has a different shaped, but same color solid ink "cartridge." It would have been best to keep all solid ink shapes uniform to enable use with different Phaser/Workcentre printers.

From simple spreadsheets to scanning financials to be emailed is just wonderful. This printer has combined my work , as well as the Company's thru networking. The only thing I have had trouble with is the coloring after other hands played with the printer's display buttons. I have not had time to try to fix it. I would definitly buy another Xerox.

When the unit is working correctly it is a good unit. Dont by without keeping the warranty in place, you will need it.

I have had many ,many HP MFP units only to be disappointed in their massive ink consumption and high cost of SMALL capacity cartridges. This unit is NOT DIRTY to reload and can be fully reloaded it under two minuets. The double sided printing in full color is fa-nominal. Cuts out all the wasted paper. Unit is a bit noisy but that is small potatoes to deal with considering its many wonderful features. Warm up from scratch is a bit slow but once it's hot it FLIES.

I managed to purchase a near new 8560 MFP and this model leaves the rest for dead! I’ve only had two repairs required over more than 11 years of operation. Its easy to use, handling paper is convenient and print quality is super quick and crystal clear. I also bought this unit for the solid ink technology and I could never go back to toner systems again. Control panel is user friendly and for small business its perfect if you can afford the outlay or are able to find a discounted unit. The only criticism I could place on it is, it does break power save mode more often than I would expect. It’s very sensitive to movement when not properly shut down and no Wi-Fi...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great print features. Retrieving a scanned document is slow. What a great printer. Our's is installed on a network. We purchased the printer. The print quality is excellent. We also use this product to scan documents. Overall, we all love this printer. I have a few critiques 1. The printer takes too long to warm up when someone walks up to copy or scan. 2. Retrieving a scanned document is painfully slow. We retrieve scanned documents as small file pdf documents. One page takes a long time to get. I just scanned 10 pages (in 1 file), and it took 12 minutes to retrieve the document as a small file pdf document. 3. The crayon sticks are expensive. We are using genuine Xerox crayon sticks, and will continue to do so while the printer is under warranty. However, after the warranty period is up, I will look for less expensive alternatives. 4. Print and scan drivers for Windows 7 were not included in the installation disk. We had to go online to download the drivers. And they weren't easy to find on the Xerox website.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality prints for client presentation We use the 8560MFP in our home office. My wife designs and sells window treatments. Our clients are always amaized at our color reporductions of the window treatments, fabrics, and style that the 8560MFP produces. The color clarity and intensity of the colors and reporduction are always commented on by our clients when they review the design. there is no question in our minds it is assisting us in winning new orders. thanks
