3M EM500GPS Small Ergonomic USB Wired Ergonomic Mouse is rated 5.00 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Preferred Method of Mousing! I've had carpal tunnel for years. Then came along this mouse and I must say, this mouse has changed my life! I don't think we can ever get rid of the effects of mousing on a computer all day, the stress and pain it gives to our hands. But this sure is the best thing that has come along to help ease the pain. Forget all those expensive mice and trackballs that claim they relieve the stress off your hands. They don't nearly come close to how much less stress my hands feel when I started using this. Imagine being back in kindergarten and holding a huge marker to draw. You held it like a joystick! The most comfortable position that our hands can be in all day is a closed fist. That's why they tell you that you should always let go of your mouse and go into a closed fist position when resting or reading your screen. Never keep your hands open and resting on the mouse. Holding this joystick is the closest thing to being a closed fist position. The only con I do have to say is not a con on the product itself, but just like any other carpal tunnel syndrome cause, if you tend to start putting too much weight down onto the joystick while mousing, over time that can also cause stress to your hands. But that is the same with a normal mouse or trackpad. You never want to put too much weight on them either. So same rules apply when ergonomically trying to mouse, but this device makes it 100 times better.
