My only quibble with it is that you can't print postage with it, but for every other application it is great. I even made my own return label which featured a photo of my pet on it. Unfortunately the QL-500 also is NOT a color printer, but I would imagine that a color capable label printer would cost much more than the QL-500 does.

I have long been a user of Brother Products, so after researching the others, returned to my old standby.The simplicity of its operation enables anyone with minimum computer skills to utilize the machine. This Christmas time, I am already way ahead of schedule by having printed and attached all the address labels to the envelopes that before took a good part of the time and effort. I will gladly recommend the QL-500 to all my friends.

I labeled my new spice carousel. I sent out a mass mailing, and created a special address book for my husband who recently suffered a stroke. It helps him find numbers he might need. I can't wait until Brother creates a label maker just like this one...IN COLOR...wouldn't that be too cool?Thanks for a great product.

I spent 2.5 hours trying to get the software to download onto my system (PC) and it didn't work. I got fed up and gave up for the day. The next morning I called customer support. That's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back. They had me repeat the same procedure 3 or 4 times. We ended up getting disconnected and they never called back so I boxed it back up, uninstalled everything that had installed and shipped it back. A week later I got an email from Brother. I opted out of their email updates and gave them the reason why. I then proceeded to get an email every week from them, each time opting out of the emails with the reason why. Today they send me this to review. Really!!
