I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.My business uses multiple all-in-one print/copy/scan/fax machines on a daily basis so I was very excited to have the opportunity to try this product.Pros- This machine is much quicker than any I have used in the past. The rate at which it produces copies far exceeded my expectations. Making double sided copies from two separate pages and copying double sided forms is such a breeze with this model. It's also extremely quiet compared to any other similar printers we've had in the past. The setup was very easy but I've only had about ten days to use it so I'm still learning all of its capabilities. Cons- The machine itself is quite large and very heavy. (We have it in its permanent location now so the weight of it shouldn't be a factor in the future. The quality of the printing isn't as sharp or crisp as with other printers we use currently. We still send old school faxes on a daily basis and this machine doesn't seem to have an option to print a confirmation after a fax has been sent. It's a minor detail that wouldn't keep me from purchasing it but it would be a beneficial option for our office.Also, the keypad is extremely sensitive, it types in things you are not touching and sometimes takes multiple taps to register a number. I looked into the toner cartridge price and it appears to be around $100, a little steep, but it only does black to I think it might be a savings in the long run over our color printers. Overall, I am thrilled with the product. The speed and quietness are far beyond what I expected! We love it!

I got one for free at work but it was nothing like the Canon printer. ASSEMBLY: Overall, it was very easy to assemble. The box was huge so the hardest part was the weight of the item and just getting it out of the box. If it wasn't for the weight it could be don't by one person. I was nervous I would drop it. LOOK: This is pretty dorky but when I removed my office printer and put the canon at my desk, it felt like a much more expensive and sleek desk. I was extremely excited by this new look. It was clean and sleek and made my office make me feel productive and successful.PROBLEMS: Figuring out the Wi-Fi emailing capabilities took me a while and I had to do a lot of test runs but I eventually figured it out. It is not a color printer which is a bummer as who wants two separate printers. PRICE: It is a very expensive printer however it will make you much more productive at work and it looks nice so it is definitely worth the money.

It scans, copies, prints and faxes wonderfully. The speed, accuracy, ease of use and accessibility makes this multi-function printer one of the best that I have ever used. My favorite feature has to do with the two-sided scanning and copying features. I love how you only need to allow the paper to pass through the machine once while it simultaneously scans both sides. This machine has a quick start up. Thankfully you do not need an engineering degree to use this printer. The directions are clear, concise and they make sense. There is no technical jargon to confuse the operator. Even the clear, LCD display screen is amazing!I found it quite easy to navigate. The set up of the printer was fast and easy. I thought it would be a bit complicated to set up with my router and use it as a wireless device, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the machine connected to a variety of devices and online within 20 minutes. Compared to other similar printers I have used, this printer is far superior. This printer has a sturdy construction and looks like it can keep up with a high work demand. Moreover, compared to other similar machines, it is easier to navigate the LCD menu display. It is also easier to see. Once again, the output capacity surpasses that of other machines I have used in the recent past. This printer clearly exceeded my all of my expectations. I knew Canon was a good brand, but I usually went with other brands to fulfill my small office needs. I will never do that gain. The quality and abilities of this printer are most likely the BEST on the market for this price. My only suggested improvement would most likely be to have a color option for this machine. Also, a staple option would be nice. My overall impression is that once again, Canon has provided a durable, reliable, high-functioning, high quality printer for small office use. This machine will serve me for years to come with no regrets on my part. I would urge anyone with similar needs to purchase one of these printers. You will not be sorry.

Follow the instruction`s located at the top of the box on how to remove from box. Take the small box out first before removing anything from the printer the instructions are located in there. The instructions are easy to read and follow. Set up took maybe 20m mins. The printer pages are crisp and clear no residual ink after touching. The usb port was a little hard to find at first. But overall good product, would like to see it in color though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, but could use improving ASSEMBLY: Getting the physical product set up was fairly simple. The instructions were clear and easy to follow to get it set up in my office. I then connected it to my Windows laptop (via WiFi connection), which was also easy and the instructions in the manual were again clear and easy. However, when I connected it to my Mac desktop (also via WiFi connection), this proved to be quite the ordeal. The manual gave no definitive answers outside of checking the website. The instructions on which drivers and software I needed to download and where to find them were vague and difficult to figure out. It took me a few hours to figure and what I did and didn`t need to do to add my printer to my Mac network. The instructions for Macs definitely needs to be improved upon, as I felt it was really trial and error and my own searching that finally gave the desired outcome. USAGE: The product scans images beautifully. It came out crystal clear on my computer. Also, when working properly it can print many pages quickly. However, it encountered regular paper jams and feeding problems when I had to do a slightly larger job. It couldn`t pick up the right size of paper properly. It seemed to work fine after that adjustment, but I thought such an expensive machine could figure that out easily enough. OVERALL: For such an expensive item that should specialize in such print jobs, it did not seem worth the price to encounter that many jams. With other printers, I feel I can get similar speed on large printers with far less jams. My primary suggestions for improvement would be to more clearly spell out instructions for Mac computers and to see if the sensor/feeder that reads the paper size could be less finnicky and more able to pick up which paper it is picking up.

Setup - there was hardly any setup getting it out of the box and ready to go. Just had to use the manual to look up how to connect it to WiFi. Speed - incredibly fast printing! Fax and copying - worked perfectly. Print quality - excellent. WiFi printing - seamless! I was able to quickly and easily print wirelessly straight from my phone, my laptop, and also hooked up to a computer with a USB cord. I would definitely recommend this printer for any of your printing needs. This has made my work life easier and personal printing as well.

Only downfall I found is trying to print single checks from a full sheet from Quickbooks if needed. Still have yet to figure it out on my own or in the forum where I posted for help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality printer! I've tried various monochrome laser printers over the years from various brands. Usually, faster printing means lower quality due to cost-cutting on toner. For routine business printing, other brands suffice. However, this time I wanted better quality, so I got the Canon D1650. It's a bit pricier per page, but the built-in drum and toner combo consistently give me sharper prints. The printer is solidly built, compact, and lightning-fast from all my devices. The touchscreen is easy to customize and use. Setting up on my network was fairly smooth, though not as effortless as other brands. The legal-sized document glass is handy. Because I value print quality, I'll likely stick with Canon for that near-typeset feel next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Work Horse of the Our Home Offices Both my Wife and I work from home now and print between 75-150 or more pages per week of proposals, project plans, invoices and much more. The Cannon imageclass D1650 has become a huge advantage from our inkjets we use to use. The most impressive part of the D1650 is that by the time I get up from my chair, its done printing. The delay from pushing the print button to completed printing is amazing. This allows both of us to share it wirelessly and virtually never worrying about queueing up jobs. The coping is flawless, and I can’t tell the originals from the copies except if the original has some color in it. The scanner has incredible resolution and allows us to save high quality files of written notes, drawings, and physical client correspondence. Some of the outstanding features include the paper stray holding a full ream of paper, being able to print from my cellphone, the large and easy to navigate control touchscreen, two-sided printing and booklet printing, scaling of copies, the custom paper tray, and sleep mode which wakes up in in latterly a second. The capability of this printer is immense, and I keep finding features like a total cumulative copy counter, ID settings, cartridge status and many others that I continue to discover as I use it more. The D1650 is definitely the work horse of our home office, it allows us to have one printer for both our professional and personal needs for the whole house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile! The packaging is well thought out and makes it easy to unpack without a lot of lifting. It does have a lot of easy to pull tape holding the device together, though. I powered it on and setup was very easy because it can connect to my wifi network through the touchscreen display on the printer. I like how easy it was to set up. After that, I could see the Canon D1650 as a printer and scanner on my network. Scanning can be done from the device or started from a computer, and the scanned file can be an image or PDF, and placed on the computer, a USB drive connected to the device, or emailed. Printing from a USB drive is also possible. I love how versatile this printer, scanner, and copier is. It also has duplex printing, letting you print on both sides of the paper without having to manually flip it over. The scanner has a clear image with pretty good colors. It even has passport and ID scanning modes. I like that the printer and display goes to sleep after 1 minute, keeping the room quiet and saving energy. The back has USB, Ethernet, and phone line ports for the various printing, scanning and fax capabilities. I'm pretty amazed at all the functions and features of the machine. It can do all the printing, scanning, copying, and faxing that I need. In addition, the printer itself looks pretty good. It has a modern look to it, being white and black with flat sides with small curved edges. The toner and drum are preinstalled and I didn't need to do anything to get it printing out of the box, which is great. I think the Canon D1650 is very versatile with crisp clear printing and scanning. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a machine that can do printing, scanning, copying, and faxing all in one like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best monochrome laser printer I have used!!! The Canon imageCLASS D1650 is literally the best laser printer I have used to date, and for me, that’s saying a lot! I have been in the tech sector for right at a quarter century now and have used many laser printers from several manufacturers and the D1650 is super fast and has all the features I’d expect in an “All-in-one”! To start the printer the printer was easy to setup as a wireless network printer on my network and then to add to all of my Windows 11 and android devices. The print jobs run with little to no lag, no matter the size or document type. Pages print fast and duplexing works flawlessly regardless of mode. The drawer has a huge paper capacity that can also be expanded as needs arise. The one pass scan where it scans BOTH sides of a document is just awesome! The first time I used it I was in essence wonder where has this been all my life! The huge touch screen means no more squinting to see what you are doing at the printer unlike other all-in-one’s where the screen just gets smaller and smaller each iteration! To me the D1650 is an awesome printer and as I said, in 25 years of tech service this to me is THE BEST laser printer I have ever used! I do not say that lightly!

Really happy with the quality of the laser printing but even happier with the scanning quality. So clear and perfect scanning. Never saw such good quality in a scanner. And the printing is high precision as well. Recommended without any doubts.

Keep in mind this printer is monochrome, meaning it only prints in black and white. Over all I’m happy with it, the only slight downside is it’s quite large, and very heavy, so it does take up some room.

The front touch screen makes it really easy to connect to your network. The build quality of this printer is solid, and it's more compact than other all-in-one printers that I have used. Print time from your computer is fast, almost instantly. You can also add on additional paper trays if needed. Touch screen allows for customization and it is very easy to navigate. Software works well with the printer. The unit itself is quite heavy but that just shows that it's durable. It's easy to assemble and easy to use with its quick interface. It also has a large compartment for paper. I print work packets, wife prints exercise pamphlets for her patients and we both print oodles or pictures of our kids or pictures they've done on the computer. So needless to say we print a lot! Previously we were using a eco-tank inkjet printer. Which was great at first and the ink was super cheap. However those are not made for the long haul and the heads deteriorate and break down. Not to mention the sometimes 10 minutes it takes for it to be ready to print. All of this though is cured with a color laser printer. Prints are nearly instant, clear, don't smudge and toner last forever and is super cheap. There is also no ink heads to dry up, get dirty, break or leak. It just works and works great! Let me roll into pros/cons Pros: -Prints quickly. Any amount as well/ -Toner last thousands of pages -Genuine toner is actually pretty cheap -Quality is amazing -Can print large files easily -Holds a lot of paper! -Great scanner -Works as a copier Cons: -None Yet! The adage you get what you pay for here is doubly true. You just can't beat the reliability, speed and quality of a color laser printer. Pictures are just as sharp as our old slow ecotank. I will say this printer is much larger than our old ecotank and significantly heavier, but its footprint is exactly the same. Its just 3x as tall. So far we've printed around 3k pages and were still on the included toner and haven't had a jam yet. We've also scanned a myriad of kids drawings which are crumpled and mated and its scanned them flawlessly. I really cant say anything negative about this printer at all. Its seriously just that good!

The quality and definition of the prints is amazing and it prints super fast. The touch screen display makes it a breeze to navigate the different options. Scanning is super easy and gives great definition. Also a plus is you can connect your smartphone to the printer and printer directly from your phone! Highly recommended.

It can print/scan, has wireless connectivity, and easily connects with my phone. Having a printer/scanner that is high quality for business docs is a game changer. Since its wireless, no wires makes it easy on the eye and very versatile in terms of where you put it. Highly recommend.

You have to make sure to read the instructions first to know what to do! This machine is amazing with all the capabilities it has! I have printed and scanned so far and it has worked perfectly each time. The wireless function is very convenient and make it simple to print right from your phone! I highly recommend you give this a try you will not be disappointed!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, mobile ready, and holds a ton of paper This is a great printer option for a family that prints a lot or a small business with its networking capability. I haven’t used the faxing but the rest of the AIO features were used and it worked very well. It holds a ton of paper and the duplexing was seamless. It was fast and the wireless setup was easy and the touch screen option helps. My pc had no issues connecting quickly and even at smaller font sizes it is crisp. It is a great replacement for my mono laser and older stand alone scanner. I think if you print a ton then it could be pricey compared to other models but all in all for a small business it would be great. Also finding the toner is very easy which is also a huge factor for me. It is a larger printer so we have it on a stand alone cart versus a desk but that was to be expected for the type of printer it is.

I make a lot of copies and this printer can turn our pages at lightening speed 45 pages per minute. It has wireless printing which is really convenient. The only short side is it doesn’t print color.

It worked well for 3 years but 1 month after the warranty ended we started having problems with rollers making very loud noises. We cleaned the rollers and put everything back together with the same problem. The replacment parts are abour $350 so we opted to buy a new - and different brand - printer
