Rated 5 out of 5 bytom v from Hard to set up and hard to useBought and plugged in the machine, downloaded the driver and it worked sporatically, had to delete all printer drivers and reinstall before it would work, so far. The scanner won't scan to pdf and can't seem to figure out how to scan multiple pages in one file. Had lots of cannon printers and they worked well but this one is a problem.

Printer automatically goes to energy saver mode when idle. All in all, this is one neat printer which has lots of punch for the money.

Although it only prints in black, it's perfect for my needs. This printer uses toner and it prints 28 pages a minute! The touch screen makes all the multi functions besides copying, scan and fax so easy. It comes with a partially filled black toner cartridge. It holds a lot more paper than my old one and also goes into an energy saver mode which is great. I print wirelessly from both my laptop and mobile devices easily. I downloaded the Canon Business Print utility guide where I can initiate a scan and get the scanned document directly on the mobile device.

I am impressed with the print speed, ease of two-sided printing, and has an extremely crisp output. I love that I can easily print through wireless on multiple devices (including my phone and iPad. This is the first home printer I've had that offers the same services as the printer in my office: it can scan, fax, and copy. The only drawback is that the Canon MF247dw does not print in color, so if you need a printer that prints high quality color photos/images, this will not work for you. Overall this is a great printer that seems to have an excellent price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 byFERRY from CANON DRIVER BSbought this month but computer did not have a disk drive so tried (unsuccessfully to download canon print drivers. it indicated that correct mf247dw drivers were downloaded, but on use they were scanner driver and fax driver NO PRINT DRIVER. repeated several times with same result although stated tha driver was mac something - total failure. finally, all drivers listed inn the printer files HAD THE SAME NAME...ON TESTING ONE WAS SCANNER THE NEXT WAS FAX, ETC - NO PRINT DRIVER!!!!!!!

The salesperson and information I read online stated that it was a 2 sided printer copier. Disappointed that when I was ready to copy 2 sided this was not an option. Everything else is perfect for what we need in our business.

However, the documentation is lacking any description of the various printer drivers that you can install (think PCL vs UFR. I'm used to PCL, and PostScript, but I've never heard of these other printer control languages, and the installation program offers like 4 choices. Please update the docs to tell you what printer language to install, and in which situations.

Nowhere in the features or specifications does it state that the 247dw doesn't allow it. Instead there are mentions of two-sided copying, not explaining that you can copy from two separate sheets onto two sides, not from a two-sided sheet onto two sides.

Rated 5 out of 5 byAlice H from Easy To Use, Fast PrintingThis is a great all-in-one (printer, fax, scanner, copier), easy enough for the non-technical to install and use. It has a touch screen. It also has wireless capability or you can install it as wired. (In my house I have two printers in two different places--one wireless and one wired--just in case the wi-fi goes down.) The cartridge is straightforward to install and isn't prohibitively expensive. The print quality is excellent and it is pretty fast--about 30 sheets a minute. I LOVE that the paper tray holds a 1/2 ream (250 pages) of paper. This unit seems to be good quality and I have every expectation it will hold up to my home office demands. Note that this is a monochrome (black ink) printer, not a color one.Disclosure: I was given a free printer to review, but my comments are based on my opinion and experience in using this product.
