Product Reviews
Canon MAXIFY MB2720 - color MFP ($199.99-$50 savings=$149.99, Ends 3/31) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Support I just got this printer so I don't have a lot to say about how well it works, but I have nothing but great things to say about their customer service. I couldn't get the printer to work on my home network and called for help. Their technician spent a lot of time with me to work things out (it was a problem at my end). Everything is up and running and I am happy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good printer; hassle to replace ink From my experience with the printer, it has been very good and produces high quality printouts. The problem with this printer is that you are unable to replace the ink, even if it is low, and the print quality is bad during this state; you will have to wait until the printer advises you that it needs to be replaced. Good overall apart from that issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine with a very affrdable price ! This is a great machine with a very affordable price.Great for home office or, small business. It also comes with installation CD. Only WiFi setup is little tricky. Press the printer home button . Then with your finger move the touch screen to next screen. On the next screen you will find' LAN settings' ,touch this then ,touch Wireless LAN setup then touch 'Standard setup' then find your home network, touch it and put your network password. All set. Enjoy printing from your mobile from any room on your network.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful setup support/documentation and ltd features A printer should not be difficult to setup. I am a Network Engineer and I have gone through several hours on the phone trying to set up my (formerly 2320 replaced by warranty with a 2720) Maxify printers.Installing a printer should be easy:-Download drivers-Connect to network-PRINTThis is not the case however for the Maxify products. If you think you can simply scan a document then conveniently send it to your email then you are mistaken. You must register your email with the cloud (literature mentions nothing about this) in order to even be eligible to send scans to it. OR you can download their app, run to your computer, put a document on it then run back to your computer to hit the scan button....pretty efficient right?!?Maybe this printer isn't that bad if the setup works though....WRONG. Every 2 or 3 times i try to print, the printer just hangs. To avoid any sort of blame put on my wireless network, I set up the "Direct Connect" wireless feature with my computer 2' away. While waiting I decided to plant some grass and watch it grow....then the grass passed away and I was still waiting for the printer to connect...STAY AWAY from this model of printers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Home Office Printer I finally gave up on HP AIOs after a series of printers that gave me nothing but trouble. The Canon MB2720 has been rock solid for me. Print quality is excellent, the machine is quiet, and the scanner works great too. I highly recommend this AIO!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good fit for light home office use The MB2720 has a good combination of practical features for business and personal use in a home office, including reasonable ink capacity and pricing compared to other competitive models (only by comparison of course). Physically it seems sturdy, except for the flimsy paper trays. It's a bit bigger and heavier than average, and I wish it had some indentations or handles on the side for easier moving.I agree with other reviewers that the setup needs improvement. I found the instructions too convoluted, and eventually abandoned them and did it the straightforward way. The printer connected to my home WiFi using WPS with no problems, and setup on my Win10 and Win7 PCs was easy enough by going to canon.com/ijsetup. The biggest issue was that it takes a full 15 minutes for the printer to initialize itself on first setup, including auto head alignment, during which time it is unavailable. There's no mention of this in the instructions, no progress bar, no status messages to indicate progress - I wondered if it was broken. The manual is good, and includes lots of detailed information. The one area where I wish it provided more detail is power management. I did some experiments and power measurements to determine that it can go into a standby mode where it doesn't consume too much power but still responds to network requests, but some important questions are left unanswered, such as whether it wastes ink cleaning the print heads every time you turn it on to do a scan only.Print quality is good, and photo print quality on good photo paper is quite adequate even though this is not intended as a photo printer. Paper handling works fine so far, although I wish it had a single-sheet bypass slot and a straight-through paper path option. The color scanner and Auto Document Feeder work fine, and scanning is quite fast. Double-sided scanning using the ADF/Manual Duplex option of the Canon scanning utility works fine, which some other reviewers don't seem to have discovered (it's not in the TWAIN interface). I'd actually rather use that option than have the extra hardware complexity of a double-sided scanner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lots of features I bought this printer after looking around some at other brands. I did not get an __ this time as I got so aggravated at speaking to foreign reps whom I could barely understand. Unfortunately my Pixma former printer quit after 4 years and I was advised that repair would cost as much as a new one and had to be sent out. The Max MB2720 has many extra features that might be great for some users. I don't even know what air printing is and don't plan to use wi-fi or other devices with it, I bought it mainly for the 3 main uses- scanning, printing and fax. I am a volunteer secretary and also use it for myself. This printer is quite heavy to carry but once set up not too hard to use the basics. I could not download the drivers by computer or disk and had to get tech help. I never realized that the manual is so long about 1,000 pages(and online only) and includes instructions for Mac and Windows and all other gadgets. instead of a separate one for each. It makes it time consuming to find specific information and way too many pages to print.I did get phone help with a great Canon rep after finally getting the correct phone number. Kind of confusing for a brand new user of printers and all-in-ones, used to having the manuals on hand with the printer.Over all it prints well and fast, (slow to start) after it is awake. I prefer a simpler all-in-one but was worried it might not be as good or last long. I have not yet tried pictures or scanning to a file on my computer but unlike my former Pixma I hope it doesn't disappear somewhere to it's own file. Wish the screen was larger too and had more information. I usually use the printer/fax individually and not so much with the computer command but it is hooked up. New at this one so might feel better and more confident once I get more familiar.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks nice - but miserable to set up. I bought the MB2720 to replace my prior Canon Pixima printer. I thought that it would be an easy "plug-in and go", but two days later I am still unable to scan a document or to print via WiFi. I have followed the recommended instructions multiple times to no avail. I am using a new MacBook Pro and a new AirPort, so the other components cannot be to blame. Very frustrating and very disappointing.
