Dock with Rugged 5424
Perfectly functional in operation. The only drawback is that with a ruggedized laptop such as the 5424, due to the the rubber corner end-caps on the bottom case a bit more positioning/placement effort is involved. Once it is positioned and locked, it does stay in place as expected.

Being used with a Latitude 7424 Rugged Extreme. Works as designed with only one minor issue so far. The base length has to be adjusted to fit the laptop. Small windows display a letter indicating the position to which the base is set. Initially, this is a trial and error operation. The 7424 uses position "D". Once set it is held in position by internal clips that can slip as one places and removes the laptop if care is not taken. A set screw would be nice to have. Connections in the back are horizontal which adds depth to the required desk space and makes installing and removing connections cumbersome especially with the heavy 7424 mounted. Vertical connections would be easier to handle. The dock elevates the back of the laptop improving the keyboard angle.

Very convenient. Easy to use.
Everything was great right out of the box. Easy to hook up and use. Sure beats connecting a bunch of cords every time I use my laptop at my desk.

EXACTLY what I needed.
An EXACT match to my rugged laptop. I am constantly on the road and in home office so needing a dock was critical. I had seen other supplier types that did not correctly mate to the bottom of the contact pad and would wobble around. This one did not and all external connections worked correctly without issues. It costs a bit more than others, but WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Easy and convenient
The Latitude Rugged Display Port Desk Dock is very easy to use. I like being able to set the latitude into the dock with ease. It works flawlessly and allows me to use multiple displays, a keyboard and mouse, and other USB devices without needing to replug everything each time I remove it and then reconnect.
