Rated 5 out of 5 by Bought this unit less than 6 months into my new position at this law firm. They had had Trend Micro's "interscan virus wall" running on a Old Compaq server that the hard drive died and there was no redundant backup. That was in 2006. The same unit is still running in our office, blocking as much as 500,000+ junk emails a month. That alone speaks volumes about this little 1U appliance.Setup was pretty simple, it sits in the the DMZ and is first touch on our SMTP inbound traffic, identifies Junk mail messages and holds them locally. Uses LDAP to pull user list and the collates all junk mail for each user and sends summaries once every 4 hrs (interval is configurable). End-users can click a link in the email to view a text-only render of the header and first few lines, and/or click another link to release the message to the local Exchange server. It has integrated great with Exchange 2003, 2007, and now 2010.Firmware updates are a breeze - download patch form Sonicwall and upload it with a link in the UI. downtime for patching is never more than 15 min.Speaking of the UI - it's web-based and as well organized as any appliance I've seen, easy to backup the config, and has multiple reports for ROI and message location. Admin has access to full audit log of all inbound and outbound messages. . Never had a critical issue, but all questions have been well handled by SW support, then have a great portal where you can keep up with your ticket and comment, upload documentation.I've really gotten to like this little thing, will probably go back to Sonicwall for a replacement in the next year October 15, 2012
