Rated 5 out of 5 by from solid productThe SCP-400 is a big improvement over earlier iterations of the 13-inch desktop photo printers (1200, R1900). Handling of thicker papers without smearing is almost perfect. The pigment ink cartridges do not require the almost daily usage that the previous models required in order to keep the print heads from clogging. I have been able to leave town and come back a month later and use the printer without having to spend hours to days and much ink to unclog the heads. The warmer colors are especially vivid and accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next generationFor many years I enjoyed excellent results and reliability with my Epson R1900. It served me very well both personally and as a wedding photographer. Although I am now retired, I wanted the same quality for my personal use. The P400 is the perfect replacement, adding wireless ops as a new feature to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent prints so farThis 400 replaces my beloved R2400, retired after being in service since 2005. Due to other work demands, I have not pushed the P400 as far as I would like to but did print some pieces for a show that were very good. I am hoping the P400 is the R2400's equal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Set up a breezeWe bought this to replace our 1900. Setup couldn't have been easier. First prints came out perfectly. Can't wait to explore all the different options. As soon as we have the extra $$ we will be purchasing the 800 as well for additional business needs. Thanks Epson! Have loved your products for year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Color Ink Jet PrinterI bought this to replace an R2000, which I had ignored for too long and could not clean the ink jets, trying every recommended method. I plan to run a test pattern with this one at least once per week to insure I don't repeat the problem. The printer itself is great. Easy setup. Good software. Great quality photos. That's why I re-bought basically the same printer again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good.Replaced my R2400 that finally gave up the ghost. Similar so the learning curve is minimal. The only real issue is that I have to readjust my screen setting to be closer to the print output of the P400. The P400 prints more saturated photos than the R2400 when comparing them with the computer screen. So far so good, I am happy with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like my older one better.I am having troble with this printer. Gave up a 1900 for this one and I don't like the problems. Also have a 2200 which I use in Colorado. As old as it ias it still prints well. I have been trying to print some 5x7 and the ink is smearing all over. This printer is new!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Printer - Replaces Epson R2400Very good prints. Seems to have better efficiency of inks vs my old photo printer.Only drawback: In some cases, blues are printing like purple. Calibrated monitor and tried all sorts of different settings to no avail. Had to adjust the HUE in Photoshop to compensate. Price of printer very good.
