I also like the fact that HP includes a postage paid envelope to return used cartridges. The only downside for me is the costs - I am on Social Security and craft a lot. I've tried off brands to try to save some money, but they just don't do the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Complete Fail Over the past several years I have had 3 of the 564XL cartridges completely fail right out of the box. (one black, two color) For a while in the past I had two printers that used this series cartridge. When the failed cartridge was put in the other printer, it was still inoperable. Hence it was really a dud. Ink, especially XL too expensive to toss. And, YES, I did carefully look at the electrical connections on the cartridge. My guess would be the internal signature device was defective. Thank you, Gary

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Real Toilet for Money I have bought 7 or 8 of these official HP ink cartridges over the last month. The first shipment I received two faulty cartridges. My printer kept coming up with an error code and would not print until I then purchased two more new cartridges and replaced the new cartridges I had just purchased. Trying to find how to get credit for the defective cartridges was a total waste of my time so I just bought new ones. This last order was for two cartridges because I totally believe the same problem will occur. If it does I will by a Brother and try that out. In passing let me just say that you will be lucky if you get 150 pages of black only with the XL cartridges installed and 50 color. Very dissatisfied with this printer but I've had it for about 5 years so maybe it's time to junk it. Keep in mind I use it very infrequently and when it works it's great and when it doesn't it isn't. I have a PhotoSmart 7520 all in one printer. Junk!

HP 564XL Magenta cartridge I have a HP scanjet G4050 which I use to transfer my 35mm films to my computer. I have a HP deskjet 6940 which is my workhorse. Never any problem with it since I owned it, I have a HP 4620 which I use as my fax, and again never any problems. I just purchased another HP printer for my other fax line. I would never buy any other product other then HP. You can depend on the service, and equipment you buy.

Rarely use my printer so very frustrated. I had just purchased new cartridges so I replaced it with a new HP printer. Think I made a mistake. 564 Multipacks are cheaper at Costco. Will not replace my printer with an HP when this one quits on me.

I am having to buy the XL just to assure i can print in Black and White. This seems to be wasteing mhy color and I do not print photos and all my Photo Black is also gone and I had to replace that too. This I sincerely do not understand since I do only print Mainly (nearly every single time in Black and White. Would like an explination on this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XL CARTRIDGES, THE WAY TO GO With as much as needs to be printed these days, it makes no sense to replace regular cartridges as frequently as they empty. The XL ones give more operating time, less storage space taken and less waste, ie fewer cartridges in landfill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cartridge runs out of ink faster than the oth My prior printer used just one cartridge (HP57) to print color documents and had a longer life than I get since buying a HP PHOTOSMART 5520 all-in-one printer. I have already had to replace the magenta cartridge (which is very expensive) which increases cost to me to do similar printing activities. I shuter to think how costly this is going to get as as I start to replace them one by one to get the same quality printing as I had gotten with my old PSC 1210 All-IN-ONE printer.

I know you have to pay a good dollar (most times) to get good quality however I think it's a little steep when you pay almost what your printer cost for ink. To be fair to HP this also included the shipping cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Misrepresented If you are buying the 564XL cartridges...they DO NOT give you the amount of pages that they claim. My original cartridges when I bought the C309 were replaced because they only printed out a very small amount. HP replaced them and now I am out of Magenta after only 298 pages printed and almost out on the other colors. You do not get the 750 as claimed. I rely mostly on my old 7960 Printer. Those cartridges seem to last forever even after it tells you they need replaced.

We are not printing baby books full of pictures here - just home use. Gone in 8 weeks or less. Extremely disappointing. Time to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to make these last longer - or cheaper - without skimping on print quality.

I've tried "supposedly" HP ink cartridges from other sites and they are just never as good, don't last as long and the colors aren't as bright. I always stick with Genuine HP in cartridges that I buy from the HP web site.

However, the expiration date problem was not explained and I lost a cartridge when I tried to use it only one month beyond the date on the package. My printer said it was " not current" or something like that. Very disappointing.

Wish the three color cartridges would be sold again in one box. It would be cheaper for HP and better for the environment. Shipping would be less for the company, as well.

THE PRINT QUALITY IS TERRIBLE AND NONE OF THE THINGS THEY TELL YOU TO DO WORK TO FIX THE PROBLEM. OF COURSE NOW MY WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED AND I DON'T FEEL LIKE I HAVE ANY RECOURSE BUT TO LIVE WITH THIS LOUSY PRINT QUALITY.

These dont last very long The print is beautiful but the cartridges are way too expensive for the length of time they last. HP you can do better. They print fine for a few pages, and then stop and then start again. (Mostly stop). It makes me crazy. I can't be the only one who got ink from what must have been a bad batch. Can I get two replacements, please? Can you reassure me that you found the problem and fixed it, please?

Your printers are sold so reasonably, it seems, so that we have to buy cartridges that do not give full service, By this I mean that the ink levels go down even when I don't use my printer. There have been times when I have printed 20 to 30 letters or 3 photos and cartridges register empty. I may have to look at other brands of printers/ink supplies.

Delivery is free and next day. I order the high capacity cartridges because they a good value and last longer. I like that HP includes a postage paid recycle envelope to return a maximum of 6 used cartridges.

They were REALLY expensive so I researched and I found a 10 pack of generic ones with all four colors and I haven't had any issues or concerns with them and the quality of the prints are amazing

I must say that your shipping service was spectacular- the order was at my front door in about 20 hours. I am curious, however, as to why one lone cartridge was sent in a separate box. That is very wasteful.

Can't beat that, better than Wally World. Only con is ink even the XL size just does not last long enough. Wish they could improve on that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What happened? HP 564xl cartridges used to last much longer and were a bit less expensive than they currently are. I can understand the slight price increase, but how do you justify the lesser ink quantity? These cartridges do not last anywhere near as long as the 564xl cartridges I bought a year ago. I barely got 80 pages of non-photo printing out of these cartridges. I used to get between 200-300 pages. These seem like they have the same amount of ink as a standard 564 cartridge but in a bigger package. What happened HP?

There is no longer any advantage to using the online purchase method since the price is about the same. The size of the XL cartridges still last for only a short time which causes me to change to Epson which offers printers that have bulk loading ink without cartridges.

Just wish HP still made Photo Smart + model printers and hope they still make the ink to go with it as well as HP Professional Business paper MATTE { can't find it at stores like Office Depot anymore}. 4 cartridge system far better than tricolor. You run out of a color in tricolor you have to waste other 2 colors while 4 cartridge you just replace color you're out of and good to go. Also getting a human being who is very willing to help me easily is greatly appreciated at HP. most companies don't offer this now a days. On a subject not directly related to product or service, but should still change is the fact that "Big Tech" is too liberal biased. HP pulled out of Texas because they wanted fairer, stricter, more honest elections. I know for a fact that 2020 elections were not fair. I couldn't sleep that night and listened to radio all night and heard how Trump won at 7 PM November 3rd, but as the night went on he suspiciously lost ground in the middle of the night and ended up losing the next morning even tough he won previouse day.

I always return empty cartridges in the bags supplied by HP, but there’s no reward applied to a future purchase. That stinks.
