I've been using these inks for years. Only problem I ever had was when I purchased an off-brand that turned out to be a refill. Not purchased from HP. That ink cartage exploded in my printer. What a mess!
I only buy HP inks from HP. I don't buy from anybody else. I had a year's supply that has now run out.

Buying The Hp ink from HP is slightly more expensive. However, I have wasted a lot of money trying generic copy cartridges and they always fail and sometimes they do not work at all from the start.

I have bought 3 of these ink cartridges in one month. 2 of them I bought at a Walmart. The one did not last me a month I did not get the pages out of it I should have. The best one I bought NEVER worked at all. The last one I bought online directly from you. It has worked perfectly.
Now for the one that NEVER worked I got from a Walmart. I was not happy that they would not give me my money back. I had to just exchange it for another cartridge. I hope it works. Anyways I like your product for the most part, but I will never buy them from a Walmart again. I would have preferred to contact you some how and have you exchange it for a good one.

I bought #61 black ink cartridge on line about 3 weeks ago and when I replaced it in my printer, a default message came up. Apparently the cartridge had no ink. I could not copy or download after doing an alignment page. I bought another black cartridge in a local store and replaced without a problem in copying or downloading. I Will not buy online again. However, all my PC' have been an HP. This was the first time that I have had a problem

I did get my ink the next day which was good. My printer recognized it as authentic, which was good. The first couple of pages printed well, which was good. Aside from that I can’t possible know if it will perform well over time after only 5 days of occasional usage. I don’t even know it the ink will last as advertised. So, once again, ask me again in 6 months. Plus, I couldn’t possibly recommended it until I know it will perform over time.

Trouble installing the cartridge
I had run out of ink; counterfeit cartridges which I got scammed with. As result I needed help for my HP Inkjet to accept a real HP cartridge. .
I called and immediately got the help I needed. It was set up by me following step by step instructions. I am an octogenarian and do need help.
I was offered a discount for signing up for future cartridges but I was not able to stay on the line as the facility where I live serves dinner and is not as nice as HP.

I bought the ink cartridge and it lasted less than one week ! This is the second time this has happened

I have always loved my HP printer and would never buy the printer ink anywhere except from the HP web site. They have the best selections and prices with a recycling return envelope included in delivery package. And they honor our military with a discount on all products. Customers don’t have to ask for the discount, the sales representative asked if we were military.

I ordered the XL to get a better value for an exceptable price but, I also ordered the color cartridge that was packaged along with it thinking I was getting the same XL value. This makes the second time that when I received the ordered items to discover the color cartridge was not an XL as I thought I was getting but the smaller ink cartridge. This is the second time I was disappointed. HP should do a much better job of putting together a package deal and not package two items that are not the same. My Opionion!

I have an older all-in-one scanner/printer. I usually order enough ink to have 2 of each color on hand, so it can be a while between purchases. The old number of my print cartridge had changed. I got on your chat feature and quickly learned the new number to order. It would be very helpful to have a feature that matches the model to the print cartridge. Love the product, hate having to hunt for it.

Other stores sell your ink in your identical packaging but it is not your ink. It is old and used. I almost ruined my printer. My computer told me to remove it at once, I did and I threw the used cartridge away. I will not trust anything but from you.

I love HP!!, but I hate trying to order online. It says I have the wrong password and I can't get in. I love how hp customer service treats me and it won't discourage me to stop buying hp products. But by the time my order is done I am too tired to talk to tech service to fix the online problems.

I had always purchased ink cartridges for my HP home printer at retail office stores. Now, I only go online and in 3 minutes I have a new cartridge ordered and on the way to my front door the next day - AND, HP pays the priority shipping! How much better can it get? The HP cartridges are the only ones I will use. I learned that lesson a long time ago - do not use "bargain" cartridges as they will harm your printer. HP makes the best cartridges for my printer and I've had my printer 8 years and it is going strong. Great company to do business with - quality and excellent service.

I am a senior, longing for the good days when I could refill ink cartridge myself. HP Ink cartridges are too costly for seniors. My family has 2 HP printers - one is on HP Instant Ink program, the other not. Instant Ink confines one to regular, constant numbers of pages.The regular printer allows me to occasional heavy usage. I wish HP will return to "refillable" cartridges.

I've had my HP printer for a long time and it still works really well. Quality of the HP ink is great. I've used other brands and while the cartridges are cheaper they don't last as long, so I use HP. I wouldn't bother with the regular size black unless you hardly ever print.

This is the best way to go with ink cartridges. Buy the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) cartridges. I have tried several non-original ink refill cartridges and they are a pain in the butt. Yes they are cheaper, but they are not worth the headaches. Ohhhhh they aren't working?? well "shake them up".... ohhhhhh that didn't work? …. well ….. sit the ink side of the cartridge on a paper towel soaked with alcohol.... ohhhhhhhhhhhh that didn't work? well.... try the auto clean feature on your printer (which eats up your ink in the other cartridge)...…..ohhhhhhh still no ink.... well..... we'll send you another one.... hope you didn't need to print anything today... … The OEMs are no problems like those..... snap them in.....away you go! The XL cartridge lasts me about a year, so I am happy with that. thank you HP :-)

I own and operate a drafting office. We use quite a bit of ink on large scale plans. After a number of years using cheap ink refills, and having to thoroughly de-clog my print heads numerous times, I now use only HP cartridges. HP actually engineers their inks for the print heads that deliver them, including the ink viscosities. This is not done on the cheap refills, and while low in cost, those off-brand inks were consistently much shorter in life and problematic for my print heads. Over the past several years, I haven't run anything through my printers and plotters except genuine HP ink and I can see a very clear difference in quality.

I have not yet installed this new cartridge but based on experience with my previous purchase I must admit that this version of 61 is worth every drop of ink. I have yielded over 400 prints in the past. My only challenge is cost ... I would welcome a reduction to say $35.00

Faulty cartridge
I ordered 1 each tri color & black 61 xl cartridges. The black keeps giving me an error message, wrong cartridge. Have tried recommendations for troubleshoot cartridge error messages. Have tried to contact customer support to get cartridge replace under warranty with no success. Very upset with HP customer support.

Works well, but costly.
The new HP cartridges are more reliable than than the refilled ones from other suppliers. But they are quite expensive. A few of these cost as much as a printer itself.
I would be happier if the great HP coupons that are offered for other products could be used for ink as well.

"Incompatible" error
Even though this was the cartridge recommended for my HP ENVY 4500 printer, nothing stops the printer from giving me "Incompatible" errors. I can't use this cartridge in my printer, I can't return it to HP, and I can't get a useful response from the HP Support forums.

Defective product
I bought a HP61 black cartridge from Walmart and it would not work in my printer. I ordered the HP 61XL as a replacement and it works OK. The defective product was made in Malaysia. This has happened several times now. The cost of new cartridges i too high to find defective cartridges. Another reason to bring back manufacturing to the US.

I use my printer, in general, one page per day and found that the ink was consumed more rapidly than advertised. I know that since I print one crossword puzzle each day I will use more ink per page but that seems excessive to me. I hoe this new cartridge will last longer.

I always use HP61XL ink cartridges in my HP Officejet 4630 printer which I purchased on 03/12/2014. Perhaps the printer may have to be replaced soon and may be contributing to my problem--which is the ink cartridge not lasting as long as I expect it to. This is confirmed by the "Ink Level" on the printer indicating that the ink cartridge is over half full yet the message on the printer indicates that the ink cartridge must be replaced and the quality of the printed page is not acceptable. Replacing the ink cartridge solves the streaky printing so I have to assume that the ink cartridge is the cause.

It seems that HP is phasing out older cartridges like the 61XL's. Ink is getting hard to find at local merchants and online. I don't like being forced to buy new printers because mgr doesn't want to continue to support them. When my HP printer dies, will likely look at other brands.

I bought this and received it 8/23. So far I have spent 2 hours trying to get it set up. The next day 8/24 after an hour I figured out that the brand new color cartridge that came with the printer ha failed. I had ordered a back up when I purchased this pig of a printer and that worked. However, the printing is terrible. I tried to clean the heads and reset the printer, still terrible and un useable copies. I want my money back some way to return the printer to you.

I usually purchase the XL cartridges as I just use this for personal. I like the free shipping, although I think it is included in the price of the cartridges. We are retired and on a limited income; I wish HP would offer a discount for Seniors. I recently was using a HP ink cartridge and it "failed" although I know there is still ink in it. I can't afford this to happen and would like a replacement!

I am happy with this product.
I saw the difference in amount of copies as I do so much printing I just print and print and don't really know. When I look at the ink levels it appears to be lasting longer than previous regular cartridges.

I have started ordering the 61 XL black and color cartridges through HP for two reasons. They are less expensive than even our best discount store, and they last much longer than the standard cartridge. Also, I usually have a $10 off coupon or sometimes even more, so this gives me more savings. I really like the recycling envelope that is sent with my purchase. After I have used about 4 cartridges, I just pop them in the bag and drop it in the mail. That's really kind of a nice thing to do.

I need to print a great deal for our personal records and therefore I use the black ink more often than I do the color. It is important to have a good quality print and the 61XL costs a little more but the cost off sets the abibity to have a much longer period of usage. I will only get the 61XL from now on.

My Hp deskjet printer died when my new ink arrived
My HP deskjet printer died when my two-pack $73.00 of Hp ink arrived! There is no way to rate these two new cartridges and I am not happy having spent $73. bucks! After calling customer support @HP, agent told me that I would receive an email ,to follow directions, for getting a full refund. Well, I still have NOT received this 'refund email'. NOT a happy camper. I really liked this printer and now it's DEAD. UGH! HP, if youre out there, PLEASE HELP! THANKS!

As always, the 61XL cartridge performs flawlessly. I have never had any issue with genuine HP ink cartridges. As with any ink supply, you always wish it could print more pages but you do get to a physical limit. I am using this in a printer that has come from very light use to daily 50 page use. No problems. It will be interesting to see how long the printer lasts! The ink supply is not a worry!

We got the appropriate number of copies from the cartridge. Then we took it out, shook it a few times and got MORE copies.
It's an ink cartridge. If you think yours ran short, call HP Cust Svc and they will take your empty one and send you a replacement.
They're good like that.

Ink Levels
When I first purchased my HP3050a all in one wi-fi I also purchased extra ink. The XL. The ink that came with the unit ran out within a few weeks. I only use this unit for personal use so there was really no reason for this. This has never happened to me before. I am assuming that the ink that comes with the unit is not quite full to capacity. I HOPE this is the reason.

Didn't meet my expectations!
Purchased this based on the reviews. Upon entry into my printer, I followed the instructions to only find out that the cartridge didn't performed in a manner which I thought. It printed in the lightest ink continuously. I was not happy as I had a lot of documents to print. I will be taking it back for a replacement. More like the 61 size. Without adding the XL.

I got tired of running out of black ink so gave the 61XL a try. Glad I did! Much more ink allowing more copies before changing out. This is the cartridge for me as most of my printing is done in black. Team this with a standard Tri-color cartridge and it is the perfect fit for me.

I just installed the HP 61XL Black ink cartridge in my HP Deskjet 3054 printer and it started to print my previously scanned items and would not stop printing until I turned the power off. Apparently there was a communication malfunction between my Mac which runs Lion and the printer which are connected by a USB cable. If I didn't shut the power off, my new ink cartridge would would now be empty. HP tech support was terrific. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Turns out I did not need the 61 ink cartridge, but needed the 63 ink cartridge. The 61 cartridge did not register and didn't resolve the printer error. Had to buy the 63 cartridge to resolve the error.

Extra Ink + prints are great in a heavy printing
I had a large print project of 350 pages and I was glad i had the High yield Ink cartridge. My only concern is the software that measures the Ink supply does not seem to adapt well to the high yield cartridges. I had to keep stopping printing to check to see how much more ink I had.

I'm bought this a month ago and glad I did. Generic brands just don't perform with the computer like the real HP ink does. It's worth the little more you pay in the long run.

Usually have had very good results with HP 61 XL. This time however have only got about 100 copies and ink is depleted. This happens every once in a while and company admitted that it does. Very expensive for those kind of failures. Most of time I have been very happy with the HP ink. Custome service is usally very good about replacements when this happens.

Immediately after installing this new cartridge the print was very poor. Very light just as it was with the old one. Shook it and reinstalled. Was a bit better but is too light again. Looks like ink is low in the cartridge. Very dissatisfied with this purchase.

iI do nothing but change the ink on this printer. It is costing me a small fortune. Even worse, you have to align the page. that can take half a ream of paper and half the ink b/c it will okay the alignment and the next day say you have to align all over again then when the ink is half way used up, it will tell you that the ink you bought directly from HP is counterfeit. Top notch product! When I received my HP printer, the software was easy to navigate, and the product is perfect. Only bad thing is, the quality of scanning is not superb...ok for flat things, but bad for 3 dimensional things. My old Compaq had high quality scanning ability. But, all in all, HP is GREAT.

We ordered the black and color xl because we print a lot of pages at one time, every three months. We put both in at the same time(we have used these before) but unfortunately the black barely made it to 200 pages and they are suppose to be double that. So I called customer service and they made it right. That is why we will continue using hp products, they have been great and the one time we had an issue they made it right without any hassle. The price is better than at my local discount store, too--especially with the free shipping!! I don't even have to go to the store, which is great. The Fed Ex guy just comes to my door and hands it to me a couple of days after I order it! What could be better? Okay, he could install it, too, but I guess that's too much to ask, right?

Low on pages printed. Supposed to be around 480, I only got 395. I seem to get better results from the Standard black ink. Thought I would do a price & page comparison and the XL hasn't consistently given me anywhere near 480 pages while the Standard has and sometimes exceeded the 190 amount.

Problem with color cartridge
When I installed the black cartridge it canceled out my color cartridge telling me it was not an approved HP cartridge it was you can see it on my purchase records it was indeed a HP color cartridge. Now I cannot print in color since I had to take out the color cartridge.

Another HP failure
I bought this cartridge in a desperate hope that it would finally get my HP printer working. It failed. My experience with HP has been terrible since I first received the 'incompatible cartridge' warning with my all-in-one 5530 Envy printer. The one time I was able to get to a virtual chat, I was sent the wrong printer cartridge. I haven't been able to get to a live person at all. I will be ditching this product and this company.

I was happy HP sends a message asking if you need a cartridge when the low ink message appears on the printer! I had the ink the next day for free, and an envelope to recycle more cartridges for free which I think is great!

Run out of ink too quickly
I received my 61xl ink cartridge (black) a couple of weeks ago and my printer told me last week that I was low on ink. Wow, what a shock, not even 2 weeks and I'm running low on ink. I do not print much during the week and not that much volume on the weekend. What gives, that was not even close to 480 pages.

Love the long-lasting cartridges
Don't you just love to go to the local Wal-Mart or Dollar Store lookinh=g for ink cartridges? No, not for me. The hunting for the department, the looking through various brands, then the hunt for the long-lasting ones I prefer. At a comparable price, I can stay home,click through, find what I want, pay through my PayPal, and receive my cartidges the next day. There is no better service!

It was often difficult to get it to print.
The printer finally broke, so it was WASTED money. I'm a disabled senior citizen and was forced to go buy a laser printer which works so easily. Wish I could get my money back. Had to throw two one-week cartridges away.

Not working
I bought this cartridge to replace another HP cartridge that had only been in use for 1 month before it gave an error message stating it failed. The new cartridge has been working though I am getting a different error message. Very disappointed.

Hp Help said I could use 2 black ink cartridges in my Envy 4500 printer. Taht is false! The upper front lip[ of the cartridges are milled differently for color and black inks and a black cartridge will not fit into a color cartridge slot!

Printer uses HP61XL; yes, they are pricey; yet I was able to purchase these on a sale from HP. As a pastor, I print lots in color; hence the XL lasts longer. Colors are vivid and don't smear with these genuine HP ink cartridges. Note to HP: will order more when you run a good sale.

Seems to be giving a much higher yield
I went through my last normal yield ink cartridges a lot faster than in the past, or so it seemed. I usually didn't purchase the more expensive ones because I heard they really didn't last that much longer for the price, but after using the high yield black and tri color I must admit that I passed the normal yield and still have a nice reserve according to my level gauge.

Replacement ink cartridge purchase
I recently purchased an HP printer for my home. The black ink cartridge ran out and I did not want to get into the car and drive to Walmart to buy a replacement. I visited the HP website and was able to order the cartridge, charge it to my HP account and have it delivered to the house free of charge. I just started a part-time business out of my home and plan on purchasing my office supplies from the HP website. Thanks for the great job!

This is a great product
Everytime I need to buy ink cartridges for my printer it will always be 61XL. It is unbelievable how long it lasts in comparison to the plain 61. I do a lot of printing and it is worth paying a little bit more to get the best quality cartridge.

I must stand by the HP Ink Cartridges, any number. They are superior. I have tried local refill options. However, the ink seems watered down, so the print doesn't have that sharp finished quality. The dollars saved on refill options are not worth the poor quality print on your documents. That "average" for features is because there could be more ink in the cartridges. I am an adult student. I print a lot of papers. Older professors still like hard copy; and I too prefer hard copies of my research materials. But back to the HP Ink Cartridges, my printers love them and so do I.

Problem resolved
An ink cartridge did not respond to my printer as it should have. I called HP for a resolution. It was late one afternoon and I was assured the new item would be at my house the next day, it was! I cannot express my satisfaction with HP more than saying Thanks for a great product and service.

I killed the printer
Beware trying to change the ink cartridges in these printers! I pulled out the old black cartridge and somehow broke the printer - some wire came loose - and the black ink would not install. The color ink ran out soon after and I GINGERLY removed that cartridge and replaced it as well - both refused to work again. I have had HP printers for a decade and this is the first time I have ever killed a printer trying to change the ink.

Of course, you are aware of when I ordered the ink, and when I received, but on Sunday, 3/10/13, I have ALREADY run out of black ink??? This is VERY unusual for this to happen to me, because I generally can make each of the black and color inks last about 2 months. During those 2 months, I use each AND every day too! I do not know if I got a "bad egg" in the batch, but I REALLY am not very happy. I will not be able to place another order for a couple of weeks, and by then, I will have SO MUCH work that I will not have been able to print! I am wondering if I should just buy some ink from Walmart, because I KNOW they would have exchanged it and made it right. I rely on both the black and color inks for business AND personal use daily, and I am the only one that uses the printer. I bought the larger size because I thought it would last longer! Anything you could possibly do to make this right, would be very appreciated because other than this incident, I had planned on being a long time customer.

I have used other methods of purchasing ink in the past, including clone products - supposedly recycled cartridges- this turned into a nightmare as it ruined my HP printer - in the long run, the cost savings went right out the window. In the past I have purchased from local office supply stores. Not always the best option because they have been "out of stock" on more than one occasion. No other option I have used in the past compares to the quality and service of my internet direct purchasing experience. Not to mention discounts that are offered from time to time make the purchase very competitively priced. Recommend you give it a try before purchasing elsewhere - I do believe you will be delighted with price, quality and service.

The cartridges that I purchase from HP are useable
What I mean by useable is that I have never had a cartridge from HP not work in my HP copier. I have purchased remanufactured cartridges form other companies and there have been 5 out of the 6 cartridges not work even though they were designated as workable for a certain copy machine. That is frustrating! HP products have never done that to me..... The price could be better but they do work....

I sm completely satisfied with this product and the service to which it is intended. I like ordering online and the mail time is great usually within 2 days. The price is better than at commercial stores.

HP Inkjet quality - plus Web site - all excellent
The HP genuine inkjet cartridges are always excellent. But also - HP's eCommerce web site, fulfillment (ordering) process, prices, fast delivery and free shipping altogether combined make it very easy to obtain what is needed. I want to commend HP overall, as well as recommend continued use of them as a supplier - for a repeated very good experience.
