Low ink levels after two printouts
I installed this XL color cartridge two weeks ago. I have made exactly three 8x10 prints on glossy photo paper. After the second print, my printer is warning that my color ink is low. I don't know if this is a problem with the cartridge or a problem with the printer, but I have no idea how many more pages I'll be able to get out of this cartridge. But for $45, I would expect it should be well over 3 pages. I can't keep up with an average cost of $15 per page. It's probably time for a different brand of printer.

Does the job
I had to buy this because, for some unknown reason, my printer couldn’t tell HP that the color cartridge was empty, so I had to shell out an extra $45, and it was the smaller cartridge. The product itself works just fine.

I had bought some of the HP printer ink at WalMart and found out that it was counterfit. I decided that rather than waste money, I would just purchase it directly from HP. So glad I did...never a problem with it being compatible with my printer.

HP High Yield Tri-color Original Ink Cartridges are exactly what I wanted and expected from an ink cartridge. I enjoy card making and it's important they look nice. The HP colors are beautiful and the XL cartridges last for several months. I am not disappointed.

This printer replaces an 8610 that had print head issues. I loved the 8610, but couldn’t afford a new one. This machine seems low end, slow, and not what I’d call a workhorse. It’s probably better for a more moderate user, but for me it is a disappointment.

The Hp ink I received from HP didn’t work.
I installed as usual when I closed the lid it said install HP ink. I should have taken a photo but didn’t. I’m a 24 / 7 caregiver and don’t have the time to deal with this garbage.

I bought an HP OfficeJet 3830 about 6 months ago. It is not the best or worst printer ever. This is the ink it uses. The XL cartridges last longer then the standard cartridges. They are not the longest lasting XL cartridges I have ever used but they print clearly and are easy to install. The HP website was the cheapest and fasted way to get this ink. Plus the Chase credit card had an online discount so super score!

Sent the Wrong Cartrigdge for My Printer
I bought my cartridges a week ago, and the shipping time is great! However, the cartridge advertised to go with my printer wasn't right. I have $85 in printer cartridges I can't use.
Next time, I'll spend the extra $10 and go to Staples.

Not what it was advertised to be, if you are going to test something, then test it at its maximum capacity based on a large project.
I used these on 8X10 photo printing, that of course takes a lot of ink.
Neither one of these cartridges came close to finishing, that made my printing more expensive.
Color cartridge advertised as 330 pages did not even come close.
Black cartridge advertised as 480 pages did not even come close.
When I ordered these I thought they would be enough to do my photo prints, based on what they were advertised to be, I guess if I ever do this again,(probably not),then I will get a truck load next time!

I purchased a new HP Printer, which required the HP63XL cartridges......both were purchased at COSTCO. The original cartridges lasted for a phenomenally long time. When they ran out, I ordered replacement cartridges directly from HP....a rush order. Cartridges were delivered the next day and they, too, are giving long service of excellent quality.

My granddaughters both use my printer for school projects. I only order HP ink, and I really like the XL cartridges because they last so much longer than the regular ones. I bought a 63XL ink cartridge 3 weeks ago and it has already run out! I generally only print 30 - 50 pages a week so this is VERY disappointing. The normal no.63 cartridges latest much longer.

I'm having trouble deciding if the XL is really worth the extra. I do make copies often but it's a home computer not an office so I wouldn't say I have "excessive use" and they run out waaaaay too quickly! Starting to date when I change cartridges.

How much I can rate this . . . not enough ink!
This product comes with no indication of how much ink is in the cartridge. If you want to know how much ink is in the cartridge, you have to look it up on the website. Then it will only list how many pages it prints. Seems like I'm constantly running out of ink because the cartridges just don't have much ink in them.
I've always purchased HP printers because of price, quality and ink. This will be my last HP printer. The ink is too expensive for the amount of pages it prints.

I have used the HP Inks exclusively in my printer; and the XL High Yield Tri-color cartridges are fantastic. They print in true color and last quite a while. Now, if
only I could get my printer to start printing in color again. It suddenly stopped and is only printing black and white. How frustrating.

Cartridge error and can’t even use it
I put the cartridge in and printed something. The next time I went to use my printer there was a cartridge error. I went through the whole troubleshooting process to find it’s the black ink cartridge. I just purchased and I don’t have an extra cartridge on hand-so it’s irritating. This has never happened to me when I purchase my cartridges at a wholesale club. I would think buying directly from HP -this wouldn’t happen.

The cartages were empty and I could not use them. I was unable to return the cartages because I had no ink from previous cartages to print the return label, thus they were not replaced by HP.

I bought this cartridge recently and I have to admit the colors are not as bright as with my last cartridge and I have to wonder if the quality has been compromised to be high yield. Back when I got the Instant Ink, the cartridges were larger because they were higher yield but I noticed that this cartridge was the same size as the regular yield one that I had last time. So, I am not really impressed and I paid more for this one...

Runs out quickly and is much too expensive. The last one I bought (at Best Buy) didn't work at all. My HP Envy 4520 declared it incompatible. I took it back to Best Buy, which allowed me an exchange--a wasted hour.

Always good ink but I can replace the printer cheaper than the ink- HP really needs to adjust. I know the ink cannot be that expensive and want to stay with HP cartridges, but other companies sell aftermarket at half the cost.

What can one say about ink? Well, it is overpriced but that's why the printers are so inexpensive. It's HP ink on an HP printer and it performs as well as could be expected. I was surprised at the speed of delivery. Lower prices are available elsewhere but I don't buy based on price.

I picked up a couple of H&P high-yield“ cartridge for use for my printer it’s so much better than having to change the cartridges so often with the regular cartridges my only problem is with one of the high-yield cartridges it didn’t last much longer than my regular size cartridge this also happened on one of my high-heeled black cartridges also it’s the first time with the high-yield color that I’ve had this problem but the high-heeled black ones this is happened three or four times over the years this printer I’m using is so easy to use and set up I recommended it to a few of my friends and they ordered it and love it especially for the money they had paid three or four times as much as I did for my printer I always spread the wealth of any good purchases I make Like the new computer I bought with this printer

Not the worst but could be better
I purchased this printer brand new approximately 2 months prior to learning it has been discontinued. The web site is extremely difficult to navigate when attempting to purchase ink and the ink is extremely expensive for the printer even though it is discontinued. There is also no feed in method when you want to copy multiple pages. Right now the printer is new so it as good print quality, but I expect for that to diminsh over time.

After about 2 weeks of using the 63 XL Tri-Color product it would come up with an error that asked me to remove the cartridge and reinstall. I have normally used the regular 63 color product and this being the first for the XL. Tried to call in to get support but kept going in circles to figure out what to do. Too much work to figure out how to fix.

The XL cartridges provide ink for well over double the amount of prints as the regular cartridges, at a price that is less than double. So you get more copies--and have to change the cartridge less often--when you buy these XL cartridges.

The ink is fine, but the machine uses way to much!
Machine HP 3830 can't compete with a 10 year old 8200 as far as cost of ink and quality. The quality of the 3830 is very good and it handles thick stock better because is has a straighter paper path, but the cost of the ink is horrendous because the amount of ink used. This is based on standard printing, business cards, regular office printing, etc. I tried a few photos and they were very good quality, but the ink use made it too expensive. I could use a high quality photo lab and still come out with less expense.

I like to use HP 63XL ink in my printer. There are a lot of places where you can get non-HP ink cartridges that work for half-price of what the HP cartridges cost. I think the cartridges are great but the cost is exorbitant. I would recommend this product to any of my friends that are rich.

Maximizing my ink use.
I use both 63 Color and Black XL cartridges. Using XL gives me better yield and less need to change cartridges all the time. As a writer, I do not like being interrupted by frequent cartridges changes, and XL is my solution.

This product produces excellent color everytime.
I have used generics before with bad color performance. The HP 63XL produces true color every time. The XL produces more copies so I do not have to reorder as often. I highly recommend the HP XL63.

Ink quantity gone down hill - fast
Printing quality for documents and photos is excellent ...
Number of pages printed per cartridge (both tri color & black) now leave a lot to be desired.
I've used HP printers and cartridges for well over 30 years -- Specifically the HP63 for the past 10 or so. While the quality has remained, the volume of ink in each cartridge seems to have dropped dramatically. I even bought the ExLg and did not see any notable difference. Question -- Has HP began cutting corners to increase its bottom line !!!!

However, delivery was quoted as 2-4 business days. It went way beyond that.
I'll continue buy genuine cartridges but won't order online any more. Will just go

Won't print in color
I have a 4650 printer, the colored ink will not print, I have had professional's trying to solve this problem, and still can't print in color. Ink is expensive and doing further research on your web site, you have discontinued the HP Officejet 4650 printer....so, not sure I would buy any more HP products. And I am now stuck with ink that won't work!

Best Ink for HP printers on the market!
I have tried other manufacturers printer ink and had lousy results. HP products and support accessories/supplies for their equipment is by far the best. I can always count on HP ink cartridges to last as long as they say and to keep the quality of the printing consistent to the end of the cartridge's use. I have been buying from HP directly for years. I love the recycle program the offer users, it means a lot to me that HP is thinking of our environment.

I haven't yet installed it because the old cartridge still has some ink in it. But I can say that it came in a nice little cardboard package

The cartridges came in the mail promptly. But the package didn't include a postage paid bag to send empty cartridges back to HP like our first order did. I was looking forward to this useful solution for recycling them. Hope the next time I order there will be a recycling bag included!

I was very pleased with the delivery and the quality of the product, but I purchased this high yield product just so I could print the documents I needed for starting my small business, I was ecstatic that this product printed up to 480 copies ONLY to be disappointed with this cartridge printing ONLY 245 copies of just your everyday regular documents. I made sure of keeping track of every copy I made, so sorry to say I am not a happy customer. I did call customer service and was told that this cartridge did just as it says up to 480 copies and that the best HP would do for me was give me 15% off my next $40. cartridge purchase, I was in a bind and had really no choice but to purchase another high yield cartridge and will be closely keeping track of all those copies as well.

I bought a new HP printer which included two brand new never opened ink cartridges, one black and one color. But the color cartridge did not work and the printer would not print without it. I had to purchase another one, as you know they’re expensive. I am a disappointed customer.

I wanted to reorder ink #62 and apparently #63 also shows up on my order form. I don’t know why HP would do that since it doesn’t work in my copier. I wasn’t even aware until I kept getting a message that the copier was (still) out of ink or not inserted properly. I love HP but I think you need to keep products not fit for your particular device off the reorder form.

Bought this printer at the beginning of our ‘work-from-home’ during the pandemic. It worked for a full 3 days (maximum usage 3-4 times/day for lass than 5 pages each. Then didn’t. 3 people tried for about 6 hours total to troubleshoot and then gave up. Run, don’t walk, in the other direction. Brother Laserjet is the answer!

Bought this, used it for a while, cartridge had an error and failed to print even though cartridge still half full. Go through all the support suggested solutions. No good. Try to get through to work out how to replace under warranty and just get constant run around. I will never buy original HP cartridges again as they are no better and warranty isn't worth anything, even though still in warranty period.

High Yield Lasts Longer
I bought this TriColor High Yield HP Cartridge because I needed a replacement. I shopped around for this printer cartridge, and HP had better prices. I'm working from home during this Corona pandemic, and I have to print some documents. Not only did HP beat all other vendors, but they also offered free next day shipping! BOOM! That was a win-win for me! I will always check HP first for ordering my printer cartridges from now on!! Unfortunately,even though I had an expert try to help,and we managed to take the cover tape off, they still did not work- The contact tapes seemed very gluey- could they have become too hot in the mail? I have asked for a new package but have not received them yet--How soon can I get them? And shall I return the ones I have?

For several years I have been purchasing your HP63 xtra capacity tricolor cartridge, advertised @ app. 300+ pages. But it produces only less than (60) 4" X 6" color photo prints . At your current price of $40.00 that comes to over 60 cents / print. A bit outrageous.

I go through a lot of ink and so I have been purchasing the 63XL. I am not kidding when I say that it lasts as long as HP says it does. The ink prints up beautifully and since it goes further than the standard cartridge, it’s worth the extra cost to me.

I don't care anymore about the ink itself. HP saw fit to place adware on my computer for "Instant Ink" that appears every time I print or log in with no apparent way to stop it. This infuriates me. So, NEVER AGAIN. I will buy another brand of printer.

I have two printers that I tried to unenroll from instant nk. Both stopped printing. Why can't I buy official ink from HP that works in my printers (not instant ink?)
I bought a multicolor cartridge because I couldn't get instant ink to work and now want a credit or cancel/ postpone instant ink until that cartridge runs out. Probably a year. Can anyone help?

I bought this printer back in June and when it said I need to replace the ink it did not say which one. So I took a chance and only replaced the black ink and so far everything seems to be ok. My other HP printer would tell me which ink needed to be replaced. I do like my HP products. Got an error message tonight but that didn't tell me anything so had to shut it down. Hope it works when I try to print again.

I had to buy new cartridges for my 4650 printer since the old ones evidently dried up due too lack of use (not totally surprising as this is a second printer which I don't use to much) I would like it if you could recommend how offen I should just the printer to help prevent this from happening again.

For the second time: I ordered the wrong ink cartridges (#63). I need #65. I did not know the return procedure so I sent them back to the return address on the package they came in. I mailed them on 10 July 2020 to HPI HHO,3820 MICRO DR.,MILLINGTON, TN 38053. I neglected to put the order #H335731570 , and I apologize for that. I want them exchanged fr #65s. For the price, this is a deal. It's faster than I expected it to be (eg, it does a restart in 23 seconds). Keyboard has nice action. Screen is good, but could be better in terms of brightness and color and, of course, the screen size almost makes it seem like a desktop.

I have had this printer for about a month and it is perfect for my needs and my space. It is a little larger then I expected, but of course it is exactly the size described! It is easy to set up, easy to use and prints and copies quickly.

Wrong product
I received the wrong product, the one I needed was the xl64. How do I exchange? This is what came up on the order, I thought perhaps they had modified it somehow, but when I went to out it in my printer, it did not fit. Please advise how to exchange fir the correct toner cartridge.

Unfortunately, even though I purchased this online via the HP web site, this cartridge isn't compatible. I don't know why; the other (black ink) cartridge I bought at the same time works fine.

I have been using HP Ink for years, I just updated my printer and have had to change my ink number also My husband uses HP Printer But a different number. The XL in both are worth the difference in cost, I get a lot more from the XL Ink. Will continue to use It !

Much better value to buy the XL ink cartridge than the regular cartridge. They cost a little more but last so much longer. The ink is superb. Do not buy the off-brands. They do not work and will ruin your printer!

This is the correct color cartridge for my Officejet 5255 but the printer does not print color. I think it's the printer's fault but have not been able to actually SPEAK to a person at HP and therefore, can't use the computer except in black and white. I can't do live chats!!!

Its just HP 63XL Tri-Color Printer Ink! ...But!
Its just HP 63XL Tri-Color printer Ink I bought for my HP Officejet 5255 and does work great and gives you more Ink to print more pages! ...And I do recommend over the standard size HP Ink cartridges which don't last no time!
But! ...For the price if you bought both the Tri-Color XL and Black XL Ink cartridges at the same time you could add a few more dollars to it and buy a nice new HP AIO (All In One) Printer, Scanner and Fax!
And also don't assume the cartridges are going to last un-opened and still in there box until the expiration date on the box as they don't! ...And HP wont do anything about it! ...So if your going to buy them I suggest you use them!
Come on HP get your prices down on Ink cartridges so people like myself can afford them and continue to use genuine HP Ink Cartridges!

Straight from HP and doesn't work.
Unfortunately I don't buy my cartridges to use within 30 days (the return period) because I like to have what I need on hand for when I get low. This cartridge is defective. It's installed correctly and I've installed and reinstalled it a dozen times - defective. No recourse because it's outside of 30 days. Now where am I supposed to buy a legitimate cartridge that works if I can't get one directly from HP? Not cheap either. Unhappy.

What's to review? These are ink cartridges. The printer won't work without them. They are not warm and fuzzy, they do not increase my bank account, they don't give me a high they simply supply ink to the printer when I want the printer to function. The printer did not tell me it was thrilled and had sensuous feelings when the cartridges were inserted. The printer is not a sentient being and I did not insert the cartridges into myself to see whether or not there would be any glorious afterglow.

I would give HP 5 stars however I have the Instant Ink Program and reported that my color cartridge was out of red. The read-out on my computer kept saying that all things were fine. I cleaned the heads and followed all the recommendations but it still wasn't printing correctly. So, I had to order and pay for a new color cartridge even though I have the prepaid Instant I tried to report through my account that I needed a new cartridge but the reply was that the report says I didnt need one. Right after I installed it, I received a message that said I shouldn't go outside of the Instant Ink Program because the cartridge I paid for wouldn't be able to count the pages printed. ....a little late! I'd like to be reimbursed for the cartridge I bought.

Reliable ink
Never had a problem with HP Ink and is easy to put in the printer. I have bought ink at a retail store but you can't always get the XL ink which is best for doing a lot of printing. I love to print recipes and sometimes pictures and this ink is great. The regular 63 ink is not enough for me and the price online is more reasonable than in the stores. They also send a bag to send back the used cartridges. Great job HP for the recyclable bags!

I bought Black and Tri- colored inks from you. I was very surprised to see a plastic return envelope enclosed to return the old ones!. I LOVE you recycle your products!!!
May I make a suggestion..... instead of using a box to ship them (way to Big of a box)
Use a padded envelope. It might even save you money.

Very cost effective ink cartilage
I brought my HP printer six months ago as a replacement for my Epson printer .
The Epson printer ate ink morning, noon and night. The ink dried out, in less than a month. At first I thought someone was using the printer but that was not the case. Fustration set in and I packed up the Epson printer. I looked on line for a good printer and ink selection and HP came up.That was in December 2018. I am just purchasing the new black ink replacement after 6 months. What a difference HP has made in my life

My HP printer quite printing and gave me a message that the ink cartridges needed attention. So, I ordered both black and color cartridges, installed them and was give a message that the inc cartridges needed attention. It was at that point I decided to get rid of my HP printer. I haven't decided what to do with the cartridges.

That dreaded ding... The alert pinged my computer as I attempted to print my paper for school. I ignored it, pleaded with the HP Officejet 5200 series freeloading space waster to print anyways. "For me, please? I promise I'll feed you later. Just one more!" It groaned to life, and began sucking and tutting my cheap discounted almost white paper through. "Tutt...tutt... pfffft..." At last, my work was complete. But wait... Argh! The dreaded grey out with white lines! I cannot turn in a paper like this! I tried again, reprimanding and slapping the poor machine for its shoddy performance. In response, it tutted, groaned, and shot out a stack of empty papers in a sarcastic reply.
That was it. I was finished. A deadline loomed, and I had nothing but a memory stick to account for my time spent slaving away.
But then, it dinged again. "Yes, I know you're empty... this is useless." That exact moment changed my life forever. My five year old, hopped up on M&M's and the thought of playing Minecraft, knocked into me begging for more screen time. Instead of clicking the "x" to close the notification, the link to HP's website was clicked instead. A holiday weekend sale? Next day delivery? I don't even have to leave my house? It was like the sky opened up, the technology Gods heard my prayers, and sent me a miracle. And... they accept credit card.
The next day... Boom. Package at the door. Installed in minutes. Then I had a sandwich, cause I did good.

I count on HP cartridges
When I need ink cartridges I go straight to HP because I never had any problems with that brand. I have had a few problems with refurbished ones and won't go that route anymore. They may be cheaper, but it's not worth it if your printer does not accept them or if they last less than expected.

Wrong printer cartridge
I'm sure the ink is fine, but the catridge was not compatible with my printer. Since HP direct initiates the need to order ink. I made the assumption that it also knew what cartridge my printer requires, not the case. And no refund because I opened the packaging so I'm out $90+ dollars

The quality of the color is great but they never last as long as claimed. I don't print whole pages in color, they are typically small line graphs w/ color coded legends. These are expensive catridges so given its short life, it's value is lower than i would expect. Cheaper versions on the website work but if HP knows how to detect copy-cats it then uses software to block its use.

I tried using some of the refilled cartridges in my printer, but either they don't print correctly or they only last a couple of months at best. I do not print a lot, but others in the house like to print things like recipes, trip reservations, etc. The HP cartridges last over a year, and always print high-quality pages.

HP 63XL High Yield Tri-color Original Ink Cartridg
Using original ink is better than secondary market ink. It works better all around. The high yield cartridges last a good amount of time.

another bad printer
I bought this printer for simple stuff wasn't expecting much it failed within a year with the ink. I worked in a print shop I know what I'm doing with it the ink HP not other, is hit or miss on working so now Im like should i spend another 50 bucks on ink or just buy an Inkjet refillable printer from another company UGH. Tired of defective crap

Good quality ink at a reasonable price. I find going direct to the HP website and ordering is about the same price I'd pay if I drive to a store.

I ordered HP ink online and now get ENDLESS POPUPS around the clock FOR MORE THAN A WEEK to order more. I'll NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!! Please STOP THESE POPUPS!!!
