The black I've always bought the XL cartridge and now I'm excited I can get cyan in the XL. This will help me out a ton and save me some money cause I wont have to buy the multi packs to get one color. I also love that they send you a bag to recycle your old cartridges.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ink but Problems with Printer No problems with this ink except that in this case it is used in a OfficeJet Pro 6978 printer. The printer is the real problem. Overall, it works great except when it comes to printing images (photos or clipart) that are not in jpeg format. I never had this issue with any previous HP printer and do not understand why I have to convert every single image to jpeg (and sometimes that's not possible). The image will look like it is cropped perfectly on my computer but it will not print as cropped. Took me a lot of time to even figure out what was going on. So, if you like to print photos and clipart like I do, find another printer (and therefore, a different ink).

I do print a lot but they were out in no time. I don't particularly care for the cartridge installation - the carrier you install them in. Seems less sturdy then prior printers.

I was used to a high capacity printer, and thinking I wouldn't need this any longer I bought a cheaper printer (but a good one). I am now involved in activities where I do need the larger printer. The cartridges work well, the pricing is competitive--just not meet my needs>

In the last 25 years I have only had one cartridge that would not work and because I had it past the date on the cartridge HP would not do anything about it. Tried cleaning the heads , and taking the cartridges out placing them back in again, but they still didn't work. Don't know what is at fault - the cartridges or the printer. In any event, I can't print out any colored graphic.

However, I was not able to print just black and white documents without purchasing a colored ink cartridge. Cyan was low. Apparently it needed to be replaced before I could print a black and white document. Is colored ink truly being used to print a black and white document? If yes, why? What a waste!

This is the third round of these cartridges (blue and magenta) that we have purchased in the last week and every one has leaked as soon as we take off the plastic strip - never mind the hard orange plastic that covers the opening. We are extremely frustrated and at a loss as to what to do. The yellow one did not leak.

It presented an 'out of ink' printing. I could remove it, banged it on the table, and it would print properly then act as if were out of ink. I can't get anyone on the phone due to lack of personnel due to covid. I'll just order a new one shortly. I have to say that I've brought thousands of cartridges, computers and accessories over the last 25 years and this is my first bad experience.

But the printer will not print - because it thinks the HP 902 CYAN ink cartridge I installed is NOT a genuine HP cartridge. VERY frustrating. I had the same thing happen when I purchased a set of three HP 902 color ink cartridges from another . The CYAN cartridge generates an error message that the "installed cartridge is not a genuine HP cartridge. I thought ordering directly from HP would resolve the problem. Not so. And I can find no way to return these cartridges - which are not cheap. I can still print in Black & White - but Christmas letters in color - NO!

Yes I aligned my printer and cleaned the heads twice all three stages and still it is printing with lines. For such an expensive cartridge it sure doesn't work great. Maybe the quality of what I print for my daycare and my daycare families is not important to you but it is to me.

I have now had this one for several months and it is now coming up with a printhead error!!!! Not sure I can correct it but will go through the maintenance procedures.....referring to the printer HP Officejet pro 6978

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cartridge problems This is the 2nd try at replacing the cartridge. The first one did not work, and neither did the 2cd. I also initially had trouble with yellow and black cartridge, but they finally worked. I suspect it is a printer problem rather than a cartridge. One other problem I wish to mention, is the 902 cartridges themselves, they are terrible to open. I usually have to use a pair of pliers to break off the orange ink cover. Because of these problems, I will not purchase another HP printer, ever.

Indicated that cartridge installed correctly. Has not worked. Tried aligning the cartridges and cleaning the cartridge heads. Test page red block and yellow square look okay but cyan block is an orange color. First time I have had a problem with the cartridges. Would like a contact from customer service.

Run head clean two or three times and it used to work for a few weeks. since that it needs multiple cleans to get any cyan printing by this time a brand new cartridge shows about 50 % left. Recently it doesn't print cyan at all. Well possibly two or three lines. This is disgusting. The money I spend on cartridges trying to get this thing to work is more than the printer cost. In my past life one of my departments was drafting, they were using high end plotters and large format printers from HP. The plotters worked generally well but the printers continually had print head issues. Now I pay for it not the company Time to go else where. The printer is great except this one problem which appears to be very common.

I am having difficulty finding printer ink in my area stores so I decided to purchase XL Cyan color ink directly from HP. When I installed the cartridge, it did not work. I am happy that HP accepted the return. My disappointment lies with the lack of information or explanation for the decreased access to HP printer ink. As an education administrator working remotely, I need to print, sign and return documents. Without a working printer my job is more difficult. If this is not rectified, I will need to purchase another printer but not an HP.

Price fixing at retail stores and online, Overpriced for quantity received and HP offers no discounts or promo codes to offset cost. Even though I purchased HP printer and own printer, HP is always watching every move. HP locks out competitor ink manufacturers by restricting to only HP cartridges because when I purchase General Motors automobile, I can use any gasoline, air filters or oil brands just so it meets manufacturers requirements. HP should be up front with cost and sell printers at real cost and the reduce ink price instead of trying to fool purchaser with low priced printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Take care not to let it run out. All ways seems to be the first to die. My previous printer. Same model totally died with a print head which would not print cyan even after every cleaning operation I tried. With all various soakings and flushing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced empty cartridge, purchased for stock. Although a little more expensive than it should be, this quality ink cartridge was delivered in a timely fashion and put in stock for use when needed. The best ink cartridge for this application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from INK Needs to ship in a sturdier box. The envelope it was in was crushed as well as the box. The cartridge wasnt broken, but im not sure it works as it is not installed yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from defective went to use after buying all the colors. All worked great but the Cyan. I didn't need to use the printer for a couple of weeks after the purchase. Won't ever make that mistake again. No after buying defective ink from HP. Would I ever recommend buying this product to anyone else. Bought the regular size for years and never had a problem. Last time I ever buy the XL size ever again. Buyer beware

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP printing qualify I'm very unhappy with my HP printer. Everything printed pink. Even with tech support, it didn't help. I bought a new printer and no longer need cartridges with HP InstankInk. I bought a different brand of printer and so far, it seems to be much better.
