The key travel is just right, so you, positively, know that you entered the character, yet not too long as to slow down things.I bought it for my secondary PC but its performance is so good (actually fun), I interchanged it with my primary PC since I spend more time on it.

It's a standard keyboard like the one pictured which is good for him as he's not up on all the things you could do with a piece of hardware with too many features.

There has been a glitch, though. The cursor keys tend to repeat uncommanded. Arrow down several times, and the keyboard will decide to keep it up, arrowing down continuously until the bottom of the document or until I arrow in the other direction. It's still nice to be able to touch type.

It worked and for the fraction of the cost of buying a new internal keyboard and then paying someone to install it. PS -- My 10-year-old HP printer is still working like a champ. Went on the HP website and found the same one for less than elsewhere with free shipping. It was the model we needed as it had the extra keys I needed to control the volume on my external speaker. The shipping box is in very good condition and that is why the 4-Star rating. Respectfully, not everyone in the USA or Around the World work conventional employment positions ie, 7-3, 8-4, 9-5, 3-11, 4-12, 11-7 etc., so with working behind the Nation's Operations Scenes, countless numbers have no time for normalcy to receive, open, check occasional merchandise received parcels which may be for days, weeks and months have passed after they've been received.

If you prefer a slightly raised keyboard, which I do, it doesn't get much better. To me, part of typing fast depends on keys releasing fast after being struck. I was happy to find that I could replace the original keyboard that came with my HP desktop. I thought the shipping time was good as well. Thanks HP!

This is it. I prefer the wired option myself and this fit the bill. I'm setting up a couple of desktops in our activity / craft room. This HP K1500 keyboard is perfect for our needs. Plenty of features but rugged and familiar. I have been using HP computers, printers, keyboards and other products for over 25 years now. I appreciate their workmanship and attention to detail. I'm sure this product will serve us for years to come. I do recommend this item to my friends, family and to you. Thanks for reading my review and have a great day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works greatI have had this keyboard for a while now. The reason I bought it was that two other keyboards had had the letters wear off of some of the keys. The letters on this keyboard have shown no evidence of wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from basic HP keyboardKeyboard makes reasonable extra keyboard and has same brand name as 2 of my laptop computers. What is odd is that there is no space between the "F12", "backspace", slash, "enter", "shift", and "control" keys on the left side BETWEEN the "SySRq", "insert", "delete" and right arrow keys to the right. I am not an excellent typer so I can adjust. perfect for mostly personal use.
