Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful photo prints HP's Premium Soft Glow Photo Paper displays outstanding color with a beautiful semi-gloss finish. The ink dries immediately which is nice. Amateur pictures never looked so good! Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP: through & through I have an HP ENVY 17t, also an HP ENVY printer. I go to HP website for HP photo paper for my HP printer connected to my HP ENVY. It's all good at HP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a new product # and not a good change Like the guy who rated the 4X6 soft gloss, I think this paper is terrible. I ordered the paper from staples and they sent me the product # 6R667A. Please bring back or stick with product # Q5450A. The new product # is too glossy and does not have the same quality feel. The only difference is the new prodcut # says: 300 g/m 80 Lb New and Improved Instant Dry! This is not an improvement to the paper. This is a step back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used to be very good -- no longer! This paper used to be great, and it was my go-to product for portrait and other prints. However, since it was 'improved', the quality and feel have deteriorated drastically. I'm turning to other manufacturers now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Instant dry equals instant disaster I am so disappointed in the quality of the paper, that I feel one star is too much. The blacks are blue. I have been using HP Prem Plus soft gloss for years and recommend it to all our clients. This new quick dry paper isn't a professional quality paper. Costco paper is better, and I really dislike Costco paper! My newer Hp printer can't even figure out how to print on it, when it grabs it, it prints off center. Please bring back the old paper, I can wait for it to dry, I just use my fan!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Original, Great! New, not! How can you pass off the new paper for the old with the same name, etc.?? I have used the Soft Gloss to print my commercial animal portraits on my HP8750 for 2 years. Several months ago, I bought 2 packs of 50 each. I just opened one and was shocked - paper is not as thick, backing is poor and it has the look and feel of something like brochure paper. Really puzzled, I got online and read the reviews. Obviously I am not alone. The old paper was perfect for my portraits. I will be returning the 2 new packs. Please bring back the original paper. Or I too will be in the market for another brand of paper. In the meantime, I haven't a clue as to what to print the waiting portraits on....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed I am extremely disappointed in the 'new' Premium Plus soft gloss paper. It is thinner and the quality of the print is, in my opinion, far below what the product used to be. I know it dries faster but that is not as important to me as the quality of the picture. And we are still charged the same, I guess because it is supposed to be better. I tried printing on the Advanced paper mode as it was suggested to someone in a review that I read. That did not work. If anything it was worse. You may marvel that I still recommend the paper. It is still better than others I have tried. I am just extremely disappointed with HP and their supposed improvement. I will be searching for another paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality! We use this photo paper not only for photos but for signs, cards, and tags because of the high quality and durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed I decided against uploading photos for an iPhoto book, because of 1) limited flexibility and 2) uncertainty of the paper quality for a lot of expense. I have used HP premium plus photo paper for this purpose so many times in the past, that I was confident in what the end result would be concerning image quality. Mistaken. Thin paper and very poor color contrast resolution in side by side image comparisons. Perhaps the chemicals in the instant dry paper is the difference that makes the images appear flat. I am careful that my paper and inks are compatible, and I do not skimp on cheap paper, but this paper ranks with the worst. Sorry, and I will be returning it. The thinness would be acceptable if the image quality remained the same. New? not improved. Bring back the other.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring Back The Unimproved I just purchased the new improved photo paper. I hadn't read these reviews. I had one sheet of my old paper left and printed some photos on it and then opened the new package and printed on it. I couldn't believe the difference! I thought something was wrong with my printer! I cleaned the cartridge heads and made sure all of my settings were on "best" and "hp photo paper" and tried again. Still horrible! I just can't believe the difference! My old paper (which has the same name) is clear and has such bright colors! The new paper looks blurry and way to light! So disappointed! I too will be looking for a new photo paper! Sad, as I have used this paper for years, but no more, it looks horrible!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is not an improvement This new photo paper is horrible and it's unfortunate that it's packaging is the so similar to the original high quality HP Premium Photo paper (product number Q6569A) that I have used for so many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a great leap backwad I have used HP Premium Plus soft gloss paper for several years and always obtained great results with an HP9800 deskjet printer for theatre and event photography. This new version of the paper, which according to the box is compatible with all inkjet printers, gives poor definition in shadow areas, and an overall "milky" appearance that is very hard to eliminate without losing definitiion in the shadow areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Something Changed I have used this paper for a very long time and was very happy with it, something recently changed! I found it on sale, was so excited, had some photos to print for Christmas presents and it is not the same paper! It is horrible! Please bring back the old paper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Photo Paper ever! Do not buy this paper. I used it for the first time today and it is horrible!. I printed on it and the photos came out like I used a different brand in an HP printer but worse. It was all blurry and had no defintion and it made my photos dark. I had to throw them away because they were so bad. I would give this paper 0 stars if I could. This paper is also very expensive for what you get! It prints like it is defective. I have always used HP advanced Photo paper in soft gloss. (White, blue and yellow box) It worked amazing my photos never looked so good. I cannot find this at stores anymore which is a bummer. Very Very unhappy. I cannot return it to the store because it is opened and used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning results with HP Photosmart 7510 printer I think any problems other reviewers may have had with Premium Plus Soft-gloss may be with HP's communication, not with the paper itself. When I bought my HP Photosmart 7510 printer almost a year ago, an HP representative told me it was calibrated for the new version of Premium Plus. At the time, I took that claim with a grain of salt. Only recently did I take the printer out of the box and start using it. I can report that my prints on both the new Premium Plus Soft-gloss and Glossy have been nothing short of stunning. To get the sharpest prints, with the most saturated and accurate colors, I find I have to set the printer's Preferences as follows: Media: "HP Premium Plus Photo Papers" and, under Advanced, Output Quality: "Maximum dpi" and Real Life Technologies (sharpness): "On." I learned this partly by trial and error, partly by finding and downloading the User Guide from the HP web site, and partly from links in the User Guide to HP Support. I only wish this information had been included in the printed brochure that came with the printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New and worse than before The new paper is definitely inferior to the old ... it doesn't have the crisp image quality, the heft of the old paper, or the same color gamut. The color of pictures printed on the old paper has to be redefined - it's expensive and wastes time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible "New & Improved" Paper - Don't Buy It! This "New & Improved" HP Premium Plus Soft Gloss Photo Paper is absolutely horrible! I have been using HP Premium Plus Soft Gloss Photo Paper for years and loved it. It produced an excellent quality print with outstanding definition and vibrant colors. This "New & Improved" paper is a giant step backward for HP. It produces an absolutely terrible picture. It is a much thinner paper and has a cheap feel to it. The backing is also very poor compared to the original paper. And to top it all off, the ink doesn't seem to be any more "smudge-free" than the original paper...faster drying maybe...but definitely not better or smudge-free! If HP continues to sell its loyal customers this extremely poor quality paper it will definitely lose me as a customer. I am currently looking into purchasing a new printer because of this paper issue (not an HP so HP will lose my ink business as well) as I must find a better alternative for my professional photos. This paper is extremely bad for my business and I simply cannot use it. Please HP, listen to your loyal customers and bring back the original paper. A one star rating is way to good for this paper...if I could I would rate it a negative 5 stars. My recommendation...don't buy it...you'll be sorry you did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please address these reviews I've been using HP premium plus photo paper for over 10 years. I cannot believe that the process for producing this paper has changed so drastically. This new paper is not acceptable as far as I'm concerned. I miss the backing, which a lot of my customers seem to like. The weight says that it is thicker, but it sure doesn't feel that way. This new "instant dry" doesn't seem to work very well. When I'm finished printing, I usually look at the print to check the color, etc. This print looks horrible. It's washed out and discolored. How can I make a correction after looking at that? I do have to admit that If you wait at least a hour or so, it seems to go to the right color. But who can wait? I really don't know if it's completely dry or not. Please listen to all of your customers and go back to the other paper. I noticed that this new paper is produced in Germany and the old paper was produced in Switzerland. What's going on with that? No one will give me a straight answer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP continues to disappoint Up till now, I've always been pleased with HP paper and ink, but it looks like I'm going to have to find another brand of printer. The new soft gloss paper I just purchased, when used with HP ink, produced very poor color representation. I printed the same picture on some older matte photo paper and on some everyday matte paper and both of those were superior by far than the new premium plus soft gloss paper. I'm giving up on HP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from mamascrapper I purchased this paper many times and I have been so happy with it. Then recently purchased it again and was very sad to discover that it is not what it used to be. I am so unhappy with this paper that I am actually looking into replacing my printer (which is only a year or so old). I scrapbook and print all of my pictures and I was very happy with my hp and the paper. I have to say that I am very disappointed with the changes that have been made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected Change.... for the worse! I had no idea the paper had changed. I went to Office Depot, as they had HP Photo paper on sale buy one, get one. So I stocked up. I was on my last 20 sheets from my previous package when I started printing for customers. I ran out, so I opened up my new paper. When the first sheet printed out, I was sure that someone had sold the store bad paper, or mocked HP. I didn't see the 'new and improved' on the box and hadn't heard that HP changed the paper. Now that I have 2 days until my deadline to print out 120 more pictures, along with my vehicle being in the shop and having no way to get around, I feel trapped.... nervous, scared..... The 'NEW AND IMPROVED INSTANT DRY' PREMIUM PLUS PHOTO PAPER' surely has been boxed wrong, and should have been boxed in the 'Everyday photo paper' box. I am extremely disappointed. Which says a lot, as I have always stood by, recommended, and purchased nothing other than HP. Bring the old paper back. This is not new and improved, it's definitely a few steps backward. HORRIBLE quality.
