Rated 5 out of 5 by from With good features like wireless coverage, and security in place, the tool needs to improve its stability and support What is our primary use case? Actually, we sell the solution to enterprise customers and government entities. So they are using it for their employees, for their Internet connection. So they are using it for their employees, for their internet connection. What is most valuable? My customers care about a lot of features. So, first of all, the wireless coverage, and secondly, the security. The security makes it secure enough. Also, it can be used to have multiple profiles or VLANs, to create multiple profiles for the users. The quality of Huawei Wireless is also a good feature since it supports ac and AX, which are the new standards for IEEE. What needs improvement? The ongoing support and ongoing follow-up on customers is an area where the solution lacks. Mist, on the other hand, offers good support. So, Huawei somehow has room for improvement in the area of support. For how long have I used the solution? It's a long journey, so I have used Huawei Wireless for over ten to twelve years. Though I am a seller of wireless solutions and firewalls, my company has a partnership with Huawei. What do I think about the stability of the solution? If someone wants my suggestion for a wireless solution, and if that person is looking for new features, then Huawei Wireless is a liability. I would tell that person to go for something like Juniper, especially since Juniper has AI features and since it's cloud-based. Huawei Wireless, not performance-wise, but sometimes it hangs. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is a scalable product. It is the same as Cisco or Fortinet. But again, it's a matter of the performance itself, considering the reliability. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a six to seven out of ten. How are customer service and support? I rate the technical support an eight out of ten. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive How was the initial setup? From an implementation perspective, it's easy. I rate it a nine on a scale of one to ten, where one is a difficult setup, and ten is an easy setup. Regarding the customer experience after installation, taking into consideration the same aforementioned factors on a scale of one to ten, I rate it a six. Speaking of the time taken for deployment, I would say the solution is controller-based, not ad hoc. The configuration is done centrally by the controller. Regarding deployment, it is not a matter of days since it depends on the number of access points. Specifically, if you are talking about something with more than forty to fifty access points, then it will take two to three days, and if more than that, it will take more days. One technician and one engineer are needed for deployment. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Price-wise, they are trying to improve since they are going very fast with the research and development to improve speed. So, they are really good. But, I mean, they're trying to cope with the main leaders like Cisco and Ruckus. I would rate them something, like, eight to nine, on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive. The solution is on the expensive side. What other advice do I have? I would tell those planning to use the solution to go for a PoC and to see whether it's for their requirement or not because Huawei, in large environments with large numbers of users, may have some issues, but in smaller environments, it will work fine. So if you are able to do a PoC, I would recommend going with it or trying it. Though I'm not a technical guy, I'm hearing from the technical team that there are certain features that you have to configure well regarding speed, rate limit, and all the stuff. So you have to take care of it. Also, you need to take care regarding the country and its regulations along with the dBi for the antenna and increase the values to satisfy customers. Huawei Wireless has some issues compared to the other vendors in terms of stability and customer experience. Also, the number of tickets in Huawei is more than many other vendors like Juniper or Cisco. I rate the overall solution a seven out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable and has a user-friendly interface. Its technical support team is responsive, quick, and precisely does what you require What is our primary use case? We have a lot of use cases for Huawei Wireless. We have ISP providers. We have SMB customers. We also have a factory manufacturing Huawei network equipment, including optical transmission, wireless networks, routers, UHGs, etc. We also have customers using full cloud features. What is most valuable? At the moment, I only have experience with the on-premise deployment of Huawei Wireless, but the cloud solution looks good on paper. It looks perfect. I can say that Huawei's cybersecurity is very good, stable, and works for long periods. My company has four devices running uptime for more than four years without stopping. I also like that the support for Huawei Wireless is swift, and support does precisely what you require, at least from the point of view of the technical engineer who communicated with Huawei support, as I'm more of a technical sales guy. Good technical support is vital to my company, partners, and customers. My company had this ongoing project with an ISP provider in Bulgaria that bought some routers. Still, the existing equipment was a completely different brand, so this provider wanted to migrate to Huawei Wireless and wanted help while migrating the existing infrastructure to Huawei, so the technical engineer assigned to raise the ticket with Huawei for checking and setting parameters correctly provided feedback about Huawei technical support being good quality-wise and TAT-wise. The technical engineer was also Cisco-certified and Juniper-certified and was not experienced with Huawei equipment. Still, he did mention that the Huawei Wireless router interface was straightforward, and even a person who's new to it would find it easy to configure. Huawei Wireless is user-friendly, which is another pro of the solution. It's easy to manage, and even the program language setting can be done with fewer commands than Juniper and Cisco equipment. Some of the features in Juniper need an external program, and the same features can be found in Huawei Wireless built-in, which I find remarkable. What needs improvement? The demo program is an area for improvement in Huawei Wireless as it's hard to use. As a partner, you can use the solution for free, for thirty days, for example. On paper, everything looks fine, but you have to get permission and explain why you want to download the software, even if it's just for demo purposes. I don't get why I have to do this as a partner and still give an explanation that this would be for a demo setup. Downloading the solution isn't a click-and-install process that should go smoothly and efficiently. You have to get a lot of approvals and explain a lot, and in the end, you find out that you received the approval for one piece of software. It looks like you need additional software to use the software. My company asked for approval and received the approval three days later, but you need to install another software to use some of the features. In the past, most features were separate. Because Huawei wants a single pane of glass where all features should work with the Huawei equipment, Huawei decided to combine everything into the iMaster NCE Campus, which incorporates every other cloud solution. However, you still have to ask for approval for every piece of software, and without clear information on the features, the type of software, and the software files required, it's not so good from my point of view. My company gave feedback to Huawei about this, and the explanation was that Huawei Wireless is a complex solution. Still, you can present your ideas to Huawei, and Huawei will give you advice on how to download the software, for example. However, this is a demo software, so how can you be sure what features you want to use without knowing how to work with the device? My team didn't get the training, even if Huawei provided a lot of training. Every quarter, Huawei includes training for different types of products. Still, my team wanted to test the product and start learning through testing, but it looks like it's better to have the free online training first and see what the features are and how to set up Huawei Wireless before doing the demo. In the future, I'd like Huawei Wireless to offer a free cloud solution or free licenses similar to what other vendors provide. For example, Aruba and Cisco offer two levels or types of WiFi equipment. Cisco has Meraki, and there's Meraki Go, a free cloud solution. Aruba has Instant, and Instant On, a license-free WiFi solution. Huawei Wireless currently doesn't have free options for SMB customers, which is what Huawei needs to bring in more SMB customers. For how long have I used the solution? My experience with Huawei Wireless is less than a year, but my company has been working with Huawei for about seven years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Huawei Wireless is a stable product. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Huawei Wireless is highly scalable. Even if you use its on-premise version, it's scalable, though it's less scalable than the cloud version. You have the option to expand the existing infrastructure to two thousand units of access points. You can set up several locations and manage a very, very, very big infrastructure. How are customer service and support? The technical support for Huawei Wireless was good and responsive. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I've used Aruba, Ubiquiti, and Netgear, apart from Huawei Wireless, because my company also sells those brands. What about the implementation team? We are distributors of Huawei Wireless, so we're not deploying it. We have partners who do the deployment with the help of Huawei's remote service desk. What was our ROI? My company is making money from Huawei Wireless, but I didn't calculate the monthly ROI, so I cannot provide a figure for it. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Right now, my company made a one-time purchase of Huawei Wireless. It depends, but in most of the projects where customers buy hardware with some software, it's a one-time purchase. Customers pay a yearly fee for other projects for support and additional software features, such as email protection firmware updates for cybersecurity. You'll also receive information about the latest attacks and get more protection if you pay an additional fee apart from the standard license fee. You'll also get an additional warranty for Huawei Wireless, a yearly contract. What other advice do I have? I'm working for a distributor for Huawei in Bulgaria. I'm a product manager for Huawei network equipment in Bulgaria. As a distributor, my company has some demo equipment at the office and different versions of Huawei equipment, such as switches, routers, and access point controllers. For example, for Huawei AirEngine, my company has versions 5760, 5761, 5762, etc. At the moment, Huawei Wireless is deployed on-premises, but the team is working on moving to a cloud-based solution. Most brands or vendors nowadays focus on cloud solutions, so that's what my company is trying to activate. My company will present an iMaster NCE Campus demo to a partner, so the partner can start using that solution. It's not just SD-WAN that the company is trying to move to because SD-WAN is part of a complete cloud solution, cloud management solution, and network management system, which can be used only for monitoring or remotely managing devices. The number of users of Huawei Wireless within the company isn't significant because it's just demo equipment, and it's not the main wireless equipment used in the office. The number of people required for the deployment and maintenance of Huawei Wireless depends on the size of the project, the circumstance, and the requirements. For example, there's a project with one hundred and sixty access points with four service engineers, so deploying Huawei Wireless doesn't require many people. I suggest anyone looking into implementing Huawei Wireless to ensure correct WiFi planning. As long as you receive the exact WiFi access point model and the exact location, everything will be fine. The deployment of Huawei Wireless would also depend on your partner. Support depends on customer requirements. You can order support contracts if you want everything to be smooth and up-to-date in the future. You can order support contracts upfront, before, or even after deployment. As Huawei Wireless is a very good solution, I'd rate it as eight out of ten. I can't give it a ten because I don't have a vast experience with it, and there's no perfect solution. My company is a Huawei partner. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises Disclaimer: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer:Partner

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Responsive support, feature rich, and easy setup What is our primary use case? Huawei Wireless is used for networking. We use it for a university. What is most valuable? All of the features are valuable in Huawei Wireless. What needs improvement? Huawei Wireless can improve the signal, sometimes it becomes weak. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Huawei Wireless for approximately three years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Huawei Wireless is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have approximately 800 users on our campus and the WiFi from Huawei Wireless is working fine. How are customer service and support? Their technical support is very good from Huawei Wireless. They respond on time when giving feedback. They quickly solve problems if there is one. We have five years of support service from Huawei Wireless in our contract. They are actively engaged in our system and they diagnose anything to see if they can find an issue. How was the initial setup? The initial setup of Huawei Wireless was easy. What about the implementation team? We have the SLA with Huawei, and Huawei engages its technical team. They are deployed as resident engineers in our university and solve problems because we pay them in the contract. We have a team of 10 working on Huawei Wireless. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The price of Huawei Wireless is reasonable. The licenses are active, and everything is working fine as per the license agreement. What other advice do I have? My advice to others is if you are going to choose Huawei Wireless, you need to check the quality of the solution. There are some issues with the strength of signals, it can get weak without any reason. If we compare this with the Cisco solutions, they do not have this issue. I rate Huawei Wireless an eight out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customizable and has many unique features, such as encryption, spatial streams, and smart antennas What is our primary use case? Huawei Wireless is for my SME, intermediate, and enterprise customers, mainly in the education, gas, and law enforcement sectors. I have several customers in many domains, so the product is for small, medium, and large companies. What is most valuable? What I like most about Huawei Wireless is that it's customizable. It has many unique features, such as encryption, spatial streams, hiding features for different scenarios, low-density and high-density areas, and smart antennas. What needs improvement? What needs improvement in Huawei Wireless is after-sales support. I've faced many after-sales support issues, so that's the area I want Huawei to improve. Having an SLA with customers is what I'd suggest to Huawei Wireless. For how long have I used the solution? I've been working with Huawei Wireless for eight to ten years now. What do I think about the stability of the solution? In terms of stability, Huawei Wireless is an eight out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Huawei Wireless, scalability-wise, is nine out of ten. How are customer service and support? The after-sales support for Huawei Wireless is six out of ten because it takes a long time. The procurement procedure is lengthy and takes too much time to process the PO. I'll issue the PO to Huawei, and then I have to wait six to eight weeks for equipment delivery before proposing an arrangement to the customer. How would you rate customer service and support? Neutral How was the initial setup? The initial setup for Huawei Wireless is easy, so it's a nine out of ten for me. It takes six to eight weeks to deploy the product. Initially, as I'm in pre-sales, I generate RFPs and the response when a customer has issued a published tender. I'll check the requirement, and then I'll map it to the Huawei product. I'll then make the Statement of Compliance (SOC) and select the proper model. Next, I'll send the information and document to Huawei for technical vetting. After technical vetting, I'll request Huawei to share information on costs and other vetted documents I need to complete, and once completed, I'll submit the documents. It'll then take approximately ten to fifteen days. Deploying Huawei Wireless requires teamwork because the deployment process involves different people and teams, such as the project manager, post-deployment, and pre-sales teams, to deploy the product completely. What was our ROI? Our customers have ROI from Huawei Wireless products that are successfully running and are fully operational and functional on their premises and even on the cloud. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Huawei Wireless is an expensive product. I'm rating it as one out of ten, price-wise. What other advice do I have? I'm based in Pakistan, and a pre-sales manager focused on ICT, particularly in wireless, wired, security surveillance, and information security products. Huawei Wireless is one of the products I'm working with, and I'm using it too. I'm selling Wi-Fi 6 products. Huawei Wireless is a hot product in the industry nowadays. My company is a Huawei Wireless gold partner. I always work with the latest product version, which will eventually become Wi-Fi 7. I'm recommending Huawei Wireless to others looking into implementing it because it's technically one hundred percent compliant in terms of customer requirements. It offers all features at a reasonable cost versus other OEMs. I strongly recommend Huawei Wireless because it's cost-effective and one hundred percent compliant technically over other products. Huawei Wireless is mainly deployed on-premises, though I have some projects where it's deployed on the cloud. My advice to others looking into implementing Huawei Wireless is that as a product, it's good. You can easily search for documentation on the Huawei website. You must learn Huawei Wireless first, and then it becomes easy, but it needs to improve its after-sales support. My rating for the product, overall, is nine out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises Disclaimer: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer:Partner

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A wireless technology that transparently connects with LDAP How has it helped my organization? Huawei is a good brand for the business. What is most valuable? I think it's a good technology. I like that it transparently connects with LDAP. The technology has a lot of capacity for WiFi six. It provides notifications, and there are many ways to connect with fiber. There is an electrical tool, and you can put an SFP transceiver. There are also many ways to implement antennas. What needs improvement? Technical support could be better. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Huawei Wireless is very stable. However, sometimes it will overheat if it's not in a cool place. But if you have a good configuration, you won't have any problems with it. How are customer service and support? Technical support could be better. They are difficult to reach and take about four or five hours to respond. It's only one guy here in Mexico, and he has very good knowledge about the product. Some of the documentation on the website is restricted, and we need permission to access it. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive How was the initial setup? The initial setup is straightforward. It takes about ten minutes to install and deploy this solution. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Huawei Wireless is one of the cheapest options in the marketplace. What other advice do I have? I would tell potential users that it all depends on the support. It's not easy to get Huawei Wireless support in Mexico. On a scale from one to ten, I would give Huawei Wireless an eight. They are quite satisfied with help if they need to get any. Of course, we could get a better response time and they could be faster. How would you rate customer service and support? Neutral Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We always use Huawei products. They are the best. How was the initial setup? The solution's setup is straightforward and simple. It is not overly complex or difficult. It's quick to deploy and we can do anywhere from ten to 50 access points in one day. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The pricing is good. They offer advanced and pro plans as well as ultimate. There are three licensing tiers clients can choose from. We are using advanced licensing. What other advice do I have? I have a very good experience with this product, so I'm very satisfied with it. Users should give it a try. I'd rate it a seven out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Straightforward deployment, scalable, and stable What is our primary use case? Huawei Wireless offers multiple features. To best suit the customer environment, I suggest centralized deployment, as opposed to distributed deployment. Through this deployment, one controller monitors all Access Points (APs), allowing the customer to establish a secure tunnel connection with the controller for maximum protection. What is most valuable? We can use an access point to broadcast multiple SSIDs, assign dynamic VLANs, and configure dynamic access control lists (ACLs). Additionally, we can also provide antivirus protection and content filtering for further security. What needs improvement? I have already integrated the radius system with Cisco and Huawei products, but it can be further improved to be more user-friendly and easier to use. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for one year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? As long as there are no loopholes in the network the solution is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Huawei's scalability is rated highly in both the Forrester Wave and Gartner ratings, typically receiving a score of eight out of ten. How are customer service and support? I have opened a number of cases concerning various issues, including wireless and Huawei router and switch deployment in another customer environment. I have received good support from the technical team in response to these cases. How was the initial setup? The initial setup of the Huawei Wireless environment is straightforward and user-friendly. I deployed the solution in the customer environment within two or three days. After that, the customer had requirements for their success criteria of the POC, which will take another one to two weeks. What about the implementation team? We implement the solution for our clients. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Huawei licenses can be for either a one-year up to a five-year period and also apply for the tiers. What other advice do I have? I have personally used the Huawei Wireless Solution and deployed it in my customer environment. It has all the features needed and I would rate it an eight out of ten. I'm currently working as a lead technical consultant, meeting with clients to understand their issues and then providing solutions such as Wi-Fi, wireless, network, and security solutions. Recently, I was able to give a comprehensive overview of a wireless solution, including details and integration with multiple products such as Cisco IOS. We currently have three clients using the solution and have proposed the solution to several new clients. I highly recommend Huawei products. As a distributor of Huawei in Pakistan, I can provide insight into why their products are beneficial for customers. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? I handled the initial setup myself, in-house. I didn't need outside assistance. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? You do not have to pay for a year subscription. It is a one-time fee. What other advice do I have? I'm not sure which version of the solution we're using. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. It's very fast and stable. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A user-friendly that is easy to deploy and offers great support team What is our primary use case? My company had deployed the tool for one of the companies operating in the financial sector in the past, and they had no complaints about the product. The past use case of the product showcases its reliability. Our company currently deals with a customer who wants to switch from Huawei products provided by some vendors, so we are trying to find the closest solution to Huawei. Our company deals with Huawei Wireless to fulfill our customers' requirements. Customers worry about the prices since products from Huawei are made available in the market at a much higher price than those of its competitors. One of our customers wants to migrate to a cheaper product from Huawei. Even though another vendor approached our company's customers and quoted a different price, they still found it to be a very costly product. Due to our company's customer's request to migrate from Huawei to some other product, our company is forced to look at other products, like Ruckus and Aruba. My company has dealt with the deployment phase of the product. What needs improvement? Price is one of the major problems of the solution, and because of this, our company's customers want to migrate to some other product from Huawei. The aforementioned area needs to be considered for improvement. For how long have I used the solution? I have experience with Huawei Wireless. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is a stable solution. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is a scalable solution. How are customer service and support? The technical support offered by Huawei is awesome. I have already worked with Huawei's technical team, and it is great. Though the technical team takes time, they are very prompt to respond. As my company only deals with the technical support offered from China, there are some language barriers our company deals with currently. I rate the technical support a nine out of ten. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? Against Huawei Wireless, my company considers products like Aruba and Ruckus. H3C is also one of Huawei Wireless's competitors in the local market. How was the initial setup? My company receives local support to deal with Huawei Wireless's deployment phase. What other advice do I have? Apart from price-related issues, the product is excellent. Huawei Wireless is user-friendly and easy to deploy, and the support and after-sale support matter. So we are very comfortable with the support. Huawei has its own research and development team across the globe with a good technical network, cloud, and storage, making its management excellent. Huawei offers a big portfolio. I rate the overall tool a ten out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It has a very good price and provides value for money What is our primary use case? University 3500 users How has it helped my organization? Stable and reliable (and FAST! we have graphics department) is essential for us, old WiFi wad EOL 2 years ago. What is most valuable? The most valuable thing about Huawei Wireless is that it is one of the cheapest WiFi 6 systems. Its price is very nice. The other WiFi systems cost about 15% more. What needs improvement? Huawei Wireless has a small technical problem. When you use a power injector, it needs to be specially configured for the switch to which it is connected. It tries to take power not from the power injector but from the switch. The funny thing when you look at it is that you have three switches or maybe four or five that are theoretically capable. However, the port on these switches is disabled. When you connect the access point to a power injector, the access point checks for features from the switch, but on this port, the switch doesn't do power. So, the access point changes these features to energy save mode and cuts off some features, especially WiFi 6. It took me two weeks to find out what's going on and how to mitigate this sort of problem. It is very easy to fix. You need to disable LLDP on the port on which you connect the access point to the power injector. Power injectors aren't quite commonly used, but I have 54 access points, and I have used about 27 power injectors. So, about half of the access points were working at reduced speed, not full speed, for two weeks. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Huawei Wireless for two months. I am using the latest version. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I can't say much about stability at this time. Currently, because of the pandemic, we don't have many people in the building. Normally, we have about a hundred of the devices. Having said that, everything is smooth for those couple of devices that are currently connected to the WiFi. Roaming is important for the WiFi system. Roaming means that when you connect to the WiFi network, you can go five levels up, and you are still connected. You do not need to reconnect at each level and authorize again. A channel's stability is important because if you use 2.4 gigahertz or 5 gigahertz wavelength, it is important that the access point must find the right channel. For the correct or automatic assignment, the channel must work correctly. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is scalable in my opinion. How are customer service and technical support? I have received technical support from Huawei at two levels. Technical support from the Polish reseller of Huawei could be better. Technical support directly from Huawei, not from private resellers, was good. I think currently in Europe, Huawei's technical support is in Romania, and they work fast. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? Currently performance/price is very good for Huawei How was the initial setup? I have been creating and configuring networks for about 25 years, which is a lot of time. I use the basic text interface. Therefore, it isn't a big problem for me to work on the command line. However, for new users who are used to working through GUI, it can be a problem to create the initial configuration. Huawei Wireless has a GUI interface for the configuration, but it is not similar to the text configuration. You can't create a detailed configuration through the GUI. To make some new changes or some new additions, you have to use the text interface. My deployment was divided into two parts: hardware configuration and software configuration. For hardware deployment or configuration, I had to put access points in the right place. I had 54 access points. I also had to get the cables made for connecting access points, which took about a few weeks. After that, hanging the access points took about a few days, and the software configuration took about three weeks. The basic configuration was done in one week, but after that, we had a problem with the power injectors. Finding the solution and figuring out what's going on with our power injectors took about two weeks. Normally, it can be done in one week. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Its price is very good. This wireless system totally costs about 30,000 euros, and some of the other solutions cost about 45,000 euros. It is a difference of 15,000 euros, which is quite a lot of money. Which other solutions did I evaluate? Ruckus, Aruba, Extremenetworks What other advice do I have? I would recommend this solution because it has quite a good price, and it provides value for money. Huawei access controller can be located on a WiFi switch. Therefore, you do not need to buy an extra server for putting the access controller. It can go on a switch. I have invested in Huawei WiFi systems and their support. I won't buy WiFi systems for the next two years of using this. The software updates are very important for solid WiFi connectivity. I would rate Huawei Wireless an eight out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable, easy to set up and offers excellent bandwidth What is our primary use case? We primarily use the product for wireless connections for the staff and students on campus. Both of them use it and there is a university hospital as well, which is also covered by the solution. What is most valuable? The quality of the product is quite good. Stability-wise, it's perfect, as, previously, we had a very old Cisco solution, and we were having some issues. Now, in terms of performance and bandwidth, it's pretty good. The stability and reliability are good. The solution is easy to set up. We have some high-traffic areas, such as auditoriums, and they had high-density APs available. It's been working well. What needs improvement? I'd like to see some after-sales support. It's a little bit below the expectations we had. For how long have I used the solution? We just deployed it. We replaced an old solution. This is the WiFi 6 solution from Huawei. It's been around eight months since deployment was completed. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The solution is very stable. There are no bugs or glitches. It works very well. It doesn't crash. It's reliable and the performance is very good. So far, we have not received any complaints or any faulty hardware or anything. At the moment, everything is good. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? This solution is covering the whole campus. We have a large deployment of around, I would say, 5,000 APs, or probably a little bit more. At the moment, it's just a new deployment. We covered the area that was not covered earlier, for example. In that respect, we've covered all of the scalability options. Maybe in the future, there may be some requirements, however, at the moment, there is no plan to expand usage. How are customer service and technical support? Technical support could be better. It's not ideal right now. They are pretty slow to respond. We're not completely satisfied with the level of support on offer. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We replaced Cisco with this solution. It was a very old solution. Something like 10 years ago Cisco was implemented and it needed to be replaced. This Huawei solution is based on WiFi 6, which is the latest protocol available for WiFi. How was the initial setup? In terms of the initial setup, it wasn't that hard at all. We know the technology, so it wasn't that difficult for us. I wouldn't describe the process as complex. It's a campus network. It's a live network. We had some limitations, for example, working only in the nighttime. It took us a while to finish this project due to the fact that, number one, it was a huge undertaking. Also, there were some access issues. There are hundreds of buildings that we covered. Sometimes, therefore, we had physical access issues. There were some delays. It took us around four to five months to complete this project. What other advice do I have? We are a Huawei partner and an integrator. We are using the latest version of the solution. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely competitive pricing with good stability and speed What is most valuable? The solution offers very good value for money. The access points on offer are very comparable to what is on the market, and it comes in at a much cheaper price. The speed of the solution is good. The stability is great so far. We've found the scalability to be quite good. What needs improvement? They should actually first test the equipment thoroughly and then launch it. Sometimes, things come out too soon, before they are ready. What happens is they launch too early, and then a problem is found and they have to fix it and the client gets very annoyed. The initial setup is a bit complex. The configuration is not that easy. Specifically, using the GUI interface is quite difficult to understand. For how long have I used the solution? I've been working with the solution for about six months or so. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The stability of the solution is very good. It doesn't have bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's pretty reliable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution can scale well. A company shouldn't have any issues with expanding the solution. Typically, our clients are small and medium-sized organizations. How are customer service and technical support? Technical support is quite good. I'd rate them at an eight out of ten. We're mostly satisfied with the level of support we receive. While the response is great, occasionally, the competency isn't there. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We also use Cisco. We're partners with them as well. We've used Aruba, however, I find the solution quite bad. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is pretty complex. It's not exactly straightforward. The configuration process is not so easy and the GUI is a bit difficult, which makes it a bit harder than it needs to be. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The solution is not expensive at all. It's very reasonable and very competitive. What other advice do I have? We are Huawei and Cisco partners and we're an IT company. I'd recommend the solution to others. I'd rate the product eight out of ten. If the setup was easier I'd likely rate it higher. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cost-effective and simple to use, but the stability needs to be improved What is our primary use case? We are a service provider and Huawei wireless is one of the solutions that we implement for our clients. What is most valuable? This solution is very simple and the interface is user-friendly. The coverage is good. What needs improvement? This solution has issues with bugs and instability. In the future, I would like to see network access control features. For how long have I used the solution? We have been working with Huawei for two or three years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? This is not a very stable product. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install and configure What is our primary use case? I do not recall which version we are using. I utilize the solution for personal internet use, on the Ethernet. What needs improvement? While I am fine with the current licensing price, I would appreciate it to be more cost-effective. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Huawei Wireless for the past couple of years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The solution is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I am not in a position to comment on the solution's scalability. I do not have plans to increase the usage, as I do not see a need for this. How are customer service and support? We have not been in contact with technical support. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I did not use other solutions prior to the current one. How was the initial setup? Installation is easy. We are not talking about a one-click installation for all. Once installed, a person can configure the solution to his needs. What about the implementation team? I was not involved in hardware installation and have no knowledge of it. This is not handled by me, but by the technicians who visit the site. When it comes to installing software, this we can do on our own by following the instructions. The technical team required for the deployment depends on the service provider. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? While I am fine with the current licensing price, I would glad if it were cheaper. Extras come with a surcharge, although, as I have not made use of these, I cannot comment on their prices. What other advice do I have? Overall, I am satisfied with the solution. I would recommend it to others. My advice would vary with the personal use one wishes to make of the solution. I rate Huawei Wireless as a nine out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable platform with efficient analytics features What is our primary use case? We use Huawei Wireless to create a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy, allowing seamless connectivity for various devices. Additionally, it facilitates the transition of our applications from desktops to laptops. What is most valuable? In terms of valuable features, every aspect of Huawei Wireless is essential. What needs improvement? Sometimes, when interacting with the product's customer service or engineers, the language accent can be challenging to understand. While technically proficient, enhancing communication skills would greatly benefit the customer experience. For how long have I used the solution? We have been using Huawei Wireless for a year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate the platform's stability a nine out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have around 10,000 users in our organization. We utilize it 24/7 for daily operations. Wherever we deploy the product within our enterprise-grade environment, it effectively reaches and covers the premises. It incorporates AI capabilities that streamline the integration of access points and provide diagnostic insights. Even when access points may be out of reach, the platform offers valuable information at high and low levels. I rate the scalability a ten out of ten. How are customer service and support? The technical support services are highly commendable. They resolve the queries. Except for the language barrier issues, they are technically efficient. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We used Cisco. Later, we switched to Huawei Wireless for better pricing. How was the initial setup? We often required additional support from the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to set up the system properly. Since we needed more training in this area, we relied on the assistance of employees familiar with the implementation. It takes around four weeks to complete. I rate the process a seven out of ten. What was our ROI? Huawei Wireless generates a return on investment. That is the reason we have renewed the service for a year. I rate the ROI a nine out of ten. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The platform is less costly than Cisco. I rate the pricing a three out of ten. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We evaluated other options, such as Aruba and HP. Ultimately, when comparing factors like availability, updates, equipment costs, and maintenance expenses, Huawei emerged as the most suitable choice, especially considering affordability. While Cisco was preferred initially, it is costly, and the pricing factor was a major factor for our organization considering the purchase decision. What other advice do I have? Huawei adapters have facilitated seamless integration with mobile devices, extending the LAN's reach. Additionally, including CampusInsight, a component offering analytics and visibility into wireless connectivity, has proven invaluable. This feature enables us to monitor network health and troubleshoot user-related issues efficiently. The reliability has had a positive impact on our operations. I advise others to go for Cisco if cost is not a factor. Otherwise, they can explore other options based on the availability of that OEM within the country. We have Huawei present in our country and provide all the necessary support, so we went forward with them. I rate it a nine out of ten.
