Optimizes the storage capacities of supported systems, while providing solid storage subsystem performance xSeries, Netfinity and EXP servers supporting Ultra SCSI or Ultra3 (Ultra 160/m) hot-swap hard disk drives (HDDs) can be updated to the latest 10,000 rpm drive technologies. These 1-inch, slim-high form factor drive options allow you to increase the storage capacity of supported servers.

This 73.4GB HDD option is SCA-2 compliant and comes pre-mounted on a hot-swap tray. This improves reliability by making a direct hot-swap connection. In addition, they contain the Predictive Failure Analysis (PFA) feature, that when combined with Netfinity Manager or Netfinity Director, can alert you of impending drive failures so replacements can be made before a problem occurs.

In addition to doubling data storage capacities, these HDD options have been rigorously tested for compatibility and reliability with supported Netfinity products through the ServerProven program. This extra testing gives you the confidence these options will perform with consistency and reliability in your demanding enterprise server environment.
