I don't give five-stars only because the price feels high, and there's a lot of packaging and process involved for 10 small pieces. That said, I'm delighted to have them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from image doesn't show that his is 9 identical classic I was looking for soft rim like in all classic ThinkPads - more suitable for XL palms and XL fingers - a sales rep assisted on T460p purchase recommended this p/n - I've finally received from Honk Kong (! in a overly large box with signature confirmation (can't drop off in no way) - nine (!) identically shaped classic caps which are so painful on large fingers. Those are luckily the right seat size for T460p, as ones I had from X60, X61p and T510p had too large seating hole on the bottom and were not fitting the latest T460p

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smaller diameter than original Purchased these for my T470s they are slightly smaller in diameter than the original but otherwise pretty much the same. The smaller diameter is less comfortable on the finger during long sessions of pointer use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Check with Chat Representative Before Buying I ordered these by mistake because the Lenovo site gave no clear information about which trackpoints fit which machines. It became obvious these did not fit my T480 only when I opened the package. I had to use the chat function to learn the trackpoint model number I needed. So this is why I rate the item only 3 stars. Lesson: use the Chat function to get the right model number or you have a good chance of spinning your wheels.

I have the sensitivity on max and have a hard time moving the cursor across the screen with the pad of my finger. I now have to dig my nail into the trackpoint to get it to move which has started to split the cap in half

Please help the community and bring back the Classic Dome (rough cat's tongue Cap. I would like to echo the sentiments of the others above to bring that back. For an input device designed to enable the user to place his/her finger in a single location, it makes much more sense to have a concave contact surface than a convex surface - pure physics! Please bring back the common-sense Trackpoint cap format Soft Rim! Thank you.

Whenever I am typing I always add the letter "b" to everything, often many times, because the trackpoint button is at the same height as the keys. It needs to be higher like on the older models. b

The slightly higher ones are a little easier and I wish these had multiple options for types like my old, old Toshiba had - fuzzy, sticky, rubber, smooth ... I had a choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caps are OK, recent trackpoints are rubbish The trackpoint caps work and are good replacements. However the whole trackpoint experience is getting worse for long-term users. Only one type of cap is now available and the driver hangs up at odd intervals—a problem that Lenovo has known about for a long while, but hasn’t fixed. When these two issues are resolved, I’ll be able to go back to 5 stars.

The replacement TrackPoint caps are key to have as this is the primary tool I use to move the mouse on my laptop, instead of the touchpad. The caps after a period of time get smooth and less sensitive in terms of using for the computer. Very easy to put on a brand new cap and get better performance and feel when using the computer/keyboard.

My first IBM was a X570, and I’ve followed through with every laptop from IBM/Lenovo for many years. The navigation track point is so much easier to use, with a mouse you have to maneuver AND then switch over to the keyboard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dissapointed with spare parts availability I love Lenov trackpoint- its the main reason I buy these laptops, but its frustrating that it took about a month to get the replacement part (trackpoint cap set). It takes up almost no inventory space and costs very little. I don't understand why this was not in stock and instead had to ship from China. Several people tried valiantly to help me but in the end the only answer from Lenovo was to wait.

The trackpoint red cap was looking a little worn, so I ordered the new replacement cap. Amazingly, all the flaky issues went away, and my trackpoint works like new again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from trackpoint caps for x13 orders for my model, wrong one delivered (did not fit) went back five times, problem not fixes, finally reached out to sales to fix, had to PAY AGAIN to process the new one - and we are talking approx. $10...... so all in all it took several weeks to complete this process which was extremely frustrating and a lack of customer service from Lenovo.
