Product Reviews
Linksys EA8500 - wireless router - 802.11a/b/g/n/ac - desktop is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 166.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from EA8500 AC2500 performance I bought the mentioned product above and had use for about 3 weeks. Notice the speed was slow and range of signal was weak in Comparision with my Aztech router from Singtel

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Linksys EA8500 Max-Stream AC2600 Mu-MIMO Router I purchased this almost a year ago and it still surprises me how fast it is. My brother and his son are constantly logged into Call of Duty but I am still able to stream Netflix and Sony Network movies at the same time!!!! I had a small issue with the reset button during Christmas and Linksys had no problem sending me a replacement under warranty. I was very impressed!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wi-Fi strong--Not wired Ethernet Purchased late November 2017. Wi-Fi works wonderfully with IEEE 802.11ac network cards and delivers on broadband providers service levels as does a wired Ethernet connections between the cable modem and PC. Unfortunately wired Ethernet connection(s) between the Linksys EA8500 router and PCs is significantly slower. Linksys support could not figure it out and even replaced this router. Wired connections continue to perform poorly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Features are good I bought this to upgrade an EA6500 that I was using because we have grown with devices in our house. I think the EA6500 was actually more rock solid than this one. It is supposed to handle more connections than the EA6500 but I see no difference in the performance. I would occasionally drop off of the EA6500 but seem to drop off of the EA8500 more often. Range is good, performance is good but does seem to be not quite as good as the 6500. Might be going back to the EA6500

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Router It's a good router, good coverage, I have a lot devices connected to it and no problem, but I think some features are lacking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! I live out in the country where there's no fiber optic lines supplying Internet. We've used net gear routers in the past and at times have had hours of troubles without wifi. Since getting this unit, even with a smart tv and lots of devices in the house, we haven't had any issues yet. Will add another star in a few months once summer vacation from school starts and the unit proves itself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well I bought this on Black Friday to replace a Netgear R7000 AC1900. The only issue I have is with the guest network, which requires visitors to open a browser and enter the passphrase. The old router allowed visitors to enter the passphrase in their device network setup, so they could simply connect the next time they visited.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Robust hardware I got this during Thanks Giving. I wanted a router that can support various devices and provide optimum speed. This device does it, i have at a given time 5+ active devices with no issue with speed. The only thing i realized that I had the same SSID name for 2.5Ghz and 5Ghz frequency and the devices that supported both were loosing connection. Once I chanegs the SSID i had no issues.
