Product Reviews
Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 5reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Modem has poor download performance when uploading files to the cloud Unfortunately this modem didn't meet my expectations.- Worse performance than stock modem provided by DSL ISP.- Uploading performance suffers from extreme bufferbloat issues. In other words, if your phone is trying to backup photos to the cloud, all other devices on the network downloading from the net will lose their connection or go miserably slow. This doesn't happen with the stock modem. June 24, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very reliable can handle the 200mbs network speed quite easily. So far this product has been very reliable. September 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by If your Router has a WPS button (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) it takes less than 5 minutes to configure without a computer! This unit is powerful and EZ to set up. I will be using this for all my clients moving forward! June 4, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bought last year in August. 5GHz radio started to give out last week. Called Netgear support. They wanted me to pay for support to diagnose it even though I told them I was an IT Professional. Asked to speak to manager, instead of putting me on hold he hung up on me. At the beginning of the call (after 30 minutes of waiting) he took my number and confirmed it with me and said if the call dropped he would call me back within two minutes. That was five days ago. Went to the store and bought a Linksys. Stay away from Netgear. May 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Blazingly fast router. I've had this router for several weeks now, and can honestly say I'm blown away. This isn't a full, in depth review, just a brief overview of my time with it.First of all, its massive. It takes up almost as much real estate as the netbooks from years ago. However, it looks like the size serves a purpose. It has large air vents on the sides, and seems to remain fairly cool, even when I have it under everything I can subject it to. As far as ports, it has the standard 1 WAN, 4x Gigabit LAN, 1 USB 2.0, and 1 USB 3.0.Signal coverage is great. I have it on the second floor of my house, and there are no dead spots upstairs, downstairs, in the neighbor's house, or across the street.I've haven't gotten too much into the software side, but it has all the standards. QoS, firewall, NAT, etc... are all there. The menus are fairly well laid out and easy to navigate. It also has the ability to configure 4 networks (2.4GHz main, 2.4GHz guest, 5GHz main, 5GHz guest) September 13, 2014
