Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great After buying another glass earlier that didn't stick. I bought the glass from OtterBox. The beveled edge fit better. Did wonder why the glass didn't fit the from the edge of speaker to the edge of the case. Might be why the other glass didn't fit.

Did experience reduced screen sensitivity though. That being said my previous screen protector did have reduced sensitivity as well. Just stoked to have a screen protector that fits properly with an otter box case.

I always trust them to protect my cell phones but was very disappointed when I purchased a Samsung Note 8 and the Otterbox Defender case is screenless. Bought the case and the Alpha Glass and it totally messed up the screen sensitivity!!! Returned both the case and glass and found a case with a built in screen protector. Wish Otterbox would make a Defender case with a built in screen protector for my Note 8 soon!!! Love Otterbox and they have EXCELLENT customer service!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love OtterBox Products I have bought this product a few weeks ago, I followed the directions as this screen protector has two tools to place and hold the screen protector in place for a period of time. I had a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge with the alpha glass and when applied the right way the product will uphold to it's expectations. I called in yesterday and OtterBox customer service has taken real good care of me and has made sure to stay in contact if I run into the same problem as this is a new product for the Note 8. I have and do endorse family and friends to go with OtterBox products as their customer service is amazing and the replacement fee is $5.99 compared to all other competitors replacement fees range from $11.99 and higher. Will never be without Otterbox products to protect any and all electronic devices.

My first in 2015 for my Note 4 remained without scratches or screen damage on my phone until I upgraded recently. I purchased a second screen protector when I purchased my Note 8 and another Otter Box because I had been so pleased with the durability and protection it had provided me in the past with my active life style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Worth It.... I hate it! Lost a lot of my touchscreen sensotivity. Also it does not go all the way to the edge which wouldnt even be that big of a deal but it also doesnt appear to be sealed properly so I expect that it will fall off at some point.

It does not cover the intire face of the phone form edge to edge and also does not adhere to the phone very well at all. I will be looking for a better alternative to protect and preseve my screen in the future and am not even using this item because it is so ill fitting. This is the second item that I ordered since I thought when i received the first one from another seller that I had received the incorrect item so I am actually out the money twice for this product.

NEVER experienced ANY phone damage or moisture intrusion! But was somewhat disappointed with the outer rubber portion of the Defender on a previous BlackBerry. Very pleased with my new Defender covering my Note-8. Glad to see the quality of the entire product is back to what I've come to expect from OtterBox!

Also, when using my phone, I have to push on my screen extra hard especially when using my keyboard which is a big inconvenience especially when your trying to type a quick text and look up and notice that half of your letters are not there. When I installed this product and looked closely around the edges it appeared that some parts stuck down but others didn't. In other news I feel that it does it's job with protecting my phone and do to the price I have no other choice but to work with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lost the sensitivity on my 2 phones I have two Note 8 phones. Last month I put your Alpha Screen Protectors on these two Note 8's. Since then my wife and I are having problems with a lack of sensitivity when it comes to using the screen. This was never a problem with the two phones prior to the screen protectors. We did a factory reset thinking that would clear it up, no difference. We have spent hours doing google searches on this problem, and it seems that many are having the same problem with the screen protector and the new Note 8. I did love the way you have set up a guard to help apply the screen protector. I am also a long time user of your Defender Protective Cases - great job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Screen stops responding After a few weeks, the screen stops responding. You have double or triple tap to get a response. Super inconvenient. I have had it for more than 2 weeks and the protection so far is good. It still takes away from the phone experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Galaxy Note8 Alpha Glass Screen Protector I bought this almost 1 month ago for my galaxy note 8 and it was very easy to install. it has affected the responsiveness of the screen to touch around the perimeter of the screen and tend to make cracking noises when pressed on when im using it outside in cold temperatures. otherwise i believe in the event of a drop it will shatter before my screen does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointing I have had other Otterboxes and really loved them. The one for my new Galaxy Note 8 came in two parts, at two prices. The one that covers the phone is fine but the separate glass protector is not good. It interferes with the touch properties. It doesn't cover the entire screen. When I dropped it the screen popped right off and the sticky edge got compromised with dust, now the $50 I paid for it is down the toilet! I'm so disappointed with Otter box!

If I didn't need to protect the screen I would have returned it or never bought it. In my line of work, my phone gets dropped and bumped a lot and the screen protector has kept the glass from getting cracked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to apply I ordered the glass protector with my case for my recently replaced Galaxy Note 8. I was worried about applying a screen protector myself, but the instructions and guides provided made it super simple! My only issue was the instructions to apply the protector were stuck to the protective film of the glass. When I pulled to take them out, the adhesive came off before I could even prepare! I had to figure out how to clean lint and my fingerprints from the sticky side of the screen protector before applying! But, it got done and I am now very proud of myself and happy my replacement phone will last through my nerve-damaged hands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Room for improvement I bought the Alpha Glass protector looking to complement my Defender. As promised, it is beautifully clear and conforms to the shape of the phone well. However, having the instructions packed under the screen itself in its packaging meant that I ended up with a minor blemish in one of the corners when applying it as the fabric of the cleaner caught in the pre-applied adhesive when removing it from the box. Also, whilst the flat edges of the screen protector have adhered completely clearly, the corners refuse to grip no matter how firmly I press, and so I now have a slightly opaque band in every corner. Additionally, given that Otterbox makes every aspect of both the Defender and the Alpha Glass, I was anticipating an overall more seamless fit, where there is a gap of about 2mm top and bottom, and the sides should have been gripped by the lockdown part of the Defender, as well as having adhesive. Also, it has made the device more imprecise when just using your finger. Using the stylus is perfect, but this can be very frustrating when doing something urgent or simple that you have to retype several times because the screen diffuses the pressure you're applying. In short, protection value is very good, but for $45USD, and used with a complementary Otter product, it should have been excellent. The Defender series for a $1500 phone should be the no-comproimise flagship, the best of every protection technology available. It should have been full body all along integrating tempered glass, and something needs to be done about ensuring more precise finger feedback.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This isn't IT! I should've listened to the other reviews. I believe this screen protector will prevent my phone from cracking but it comes with a price. It's very difficult to use parts of the screen because the protector isn't flush with the entire phone. You almost have to use two hands when typing with this screen protector. I have the otter box defender case on my phone now, so I think I'll remove this screen protector and just replace it with a thin protector and hope for the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not True to Description First thing, it does not at all maintain touch sensitivity. You have to push extremely hard, which is difficult using one hand with such a big phone. Second, it is only sticky on the sides so there is not a firm grab and will fall off every now and then. Third and last, it does not curve around the edges as much as I would like. You can see the border around the entire screen especially on the sides, which can be annoying at times. There are much better glass screen protectors I have seen at a lower price. I bought this because I have had good luck with otter box cases. However it is not the same for screen protectors.

It has edge adhesive only and because of that screen sensitivity decreased so much that phone was almost unusable. I contacted OtterBox and returned my product but of course with $ 5 penalty of return shipment. I always bought and paid premium price for otter box because they stand behind their product. But now I have to spend money on product which was poorly designed is not fair. Please do not purchase this product.

It dulls the sensitivity for the touch screen and sometimes dust and hair gets caught in the edge of the screen. It does its job and protects it, but I wish it was made a little better to the phone.

Unfortunately Otter Box Has changed their proven design. Instead of protecting the screen with a snap together case with screen saver, I had to buy a separate piece of glass to stick on in an attempt to save my screen. This glass makes texting difficult. It also popped off the phone when i dropped it. Now there's debris in between the glass and the screen making texting EXTRA difficult. I wish they would go back to the old style. I just want to fully protect my work phone as I did before

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Issues with touchscreen I bought this for my wife’s new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 about a month ago. Slacked in installing it till about two weeks ago. Since installing, we’ve been experiencing issues with touching certain areas of the screen. The phone just won’t recognize our touch, until we press with LOTS of pressure. Other areas of the screen are fine and work with normal tapping. On another note, it does seem VERY sturdy and seems as if the phone was dropped, the screen would definitely survive. We wish it would cover a bit more of the glass, edge to edge, but there seems to be a gap at the top and bottom of glass. Bought this for use with Otterbox case, assuming it would fit better and/or properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst product ever I bought 2 of these. The 1st had the protective film cover glued on so tight the pull tab broke off making removal impossible. The 2nd screen I got in my phone. It does not cover the entire screen. Meaning you'll have a valley at the top & bottom of the phone. I expected it to meet the defender case well enough to not notice a difference. It did not. The next issue i had was with screen sensitivity. I had a huge dead spot in the center of the screen. These 2 issues made using the stylus impossible. If Otterbox can produce a separate product to cover the screen them it should have been included as part of the case & not a stand alone product. I've used Otterbox cases with many phones & tablets & this is be far the worst product I've seen from them. Very disappointed in the company now & will not purchase more of their products. As a side note: forcing me to jump through hoops to write a review is even more annoying. I will not recommended or but another Otterbox product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor fit on Note 8. I am a long time customer. I have always purchased the Otter Box Defender for all of my phones and tablets. The defender case for the Note 8 is missing a screen protector. So Otter Box decided to sell it separately. Now you have to pay $$ for defender case and $$ for the screen protector. Sounds like they are just getting rich? Problem with the Alpha Glass is that it doesn't cover the whole phone screen. So along the edge it will collect lint and dirt. Why would Otter box not make this fit under the edge of the defender case. I just makes more sense that way.

Only draw back is that my cell phone is not equipped with sensitivity setting so since the glass screen is thick you have to press harder on the screen to use than without the screen glass protection. Something you will have to get use to.

I read almost every review talk about sensitivity be ruined and the phone not working but that issue must have been fixed. Installation was super easy with plastic tabs that came with the screen. I still took my time to make sure it was right. Now the screen is on and I don't even notice it's there. The clarity is amazing and nothing has changed whatsoever with the sensitivity. I wondered how it would work with the rounded edges but it's as if the screen protector is not even there. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase.

It's not touch sensitive especially around the edges. I'm considering taking it off but that saddens me since I paid so much for it. Hopefully they'll revisit this version and make it better sooner rather than later.

It is shorter by ~1cm as compared to the actual Samsung Note8 screen. Like that, it is not fully protecting the screen at all. Wanted to get other Otterbox products. Now gotta think thrice. Very disappointed.

Once installed, the screen responsiveness diminished tremendously! So much so that I had to really press hard to get the phone to respond! It was causing me so much stress and frustration that i ripped it off and will be returning for a refund. I called otterbox and they sent a new one but I will be returning that as well! After conducting research, apparently nobody has mastered the curved screen tempered glass.

Unfortunately PTC fiitted an expensive third party screen protector that never sealed along the edges and was not compatible with the Defender case. Recently I fitted the Otterbox Alpha glass screen protector. It was reasonably priced, was easy to fit, the fit is perfect and it is compatible with the Defender case. Unfortunately, the screen protector has caused the screen to become far less sensative, requiring a great deal more pressure to activate screen keys. I adjusted the screen sensitivity in Android but that only slightly improved sensitivity. I am very disappointed with the Otterbox Alpha Glass screen protector.

I work construction and won't use anything else on my phones. I'm not a big fan of the 'edge style' and I know that I need the best protection available. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Protects well, easy install The Alpha Glass protector keeps the Note 8 screen protected from all damages but the top and bottom edges were left out and that is understandable. There are dots on this item and this doesn't damage your viewing on the phone unless too picky. Safety its number one and will provide extra protection with the other Otterbox items and give you peace of mind knowing your high end phone is protected.

Lack of adhesive surface area meant the glass came of within days, which was fine because the lost screen sensitivity has driven me nuts. A deeper lip all around the screen would have been better protection.

Also, I bought the case which did not closely fit as I thought. I would not recommend them. The technology is poor. It doesn’t fit the design of phone. Kinda tacky.

But on the box it claims that the glass is sensitive. When I opened the package the glass doesn't really feel like glass its more so like Plexiglas. Expensive not worth it. Will not buy again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I see the potential. I purchased the alpha glass screen protector along with an otter box for my note 8. The install was very easy. Everything appeared good and clean. Then after a day or so the screen sensitivity became quite poor and spotty. I would have to tap the same thing many times to get it to react. I contacted support. They are sending a replacement. Hopefully it goes much better. The screen protector then fell off 2 days later. Once I get the replacement in the mail I hope it does the trick and won’t fall off and has kept the screen sensitivity. Btw this was a super clean install. The note 8 was brand new still in the box. I literally inboxes the phone and put the screen protector on immediately. No finger prints, dust, residue of any kind.

I followed the instructions to a tee and sealed around edges. The centering tools are amazing and made installation a cinch, but I have to really accentuate my presses with my finger top get the phone top respond.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensitivity overtime When I first put it on I complained about it being insensitive, while my wife said it worked perfect with her Samsung Note 8. After approx. 24 hours I had noticed a significant change in sensitivity. The areas like my bottom keyboard became reactive to light presses. I'm guessing it had something to do with the sticky material fastening to that area of my Note 8. Any how, we love otter box. We've dropped these very sensitive phones more than a few times since we bought them and I panicked to find not even a scratch. Otter box must be using some Area 51 material!

Previously tried the Whitestone Dome Glass for this application, which does not work as there is a lifting of the edges caused by the Otterbox Defender case. I had read the Alpha Glass was not as good, and that was the rational for not using that product initially, but $50.00 failures are not wise either. Thus, I am using Alpha glass now and it seems to be staying attched, without the corners lift. It is not eve close to as sensative (with the screen sensativity setting at maximum as the Whitestone Dome Glass which is frustrating. Thus, the best of a less than optimal situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Probably The Best I previously purchase to screen protectors prior to purchasing the alpha glass, both times the glass broke the 1st time I don't even know a broke and the 3rd time sand got in between the cracks.. Sense I've installed the alpha glass I haven't had any sand/dirt build-up in the cracks, no breaking. However When I go to type sometimes I have to press hard on the screen to get it to select letters when texting, other than that no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't fully cover screen Looks good on the phone but I'm very disappointed that it doesn't fully cover the screen from the top to the bottom of the Defender case. When I'm using my phone there is a small gap between the edge of the case and the start of the screen protector. I purchased the Alpha Glass specifically because I purchased the Defender case assuming it would be made to have no gap between case and glass and a seamless transition. I also sometimes have problems towards the middle of the phone with responsiveness. I also have an issue with the corner edges not staying glued down and lint getting caught on the edges. Overall, I'm not very pleased with the investment.

The screen protector is unresponsive and I find myself having to almost slam the screen to get it to react. I am very disappointed in the product and hope to receive a replacement. With the note 8, I bought the defender series, like usual, and HATED IT. Was forced to but this glass case. This glass case DOES NOT COVER THE FACE OF THE PHONE!!!! It misses the top 1/4 inch (DOES NOT COVER THE CAMERA) and misses the bottom 1/4 inch. What good is a glass case that does not cover the NEW AND IMPROVED CAMERA???? Next time, I buy an Otter box case, I will be very worried.

This way there is still a little space between the protector and the glass. Withs allows pressure points to crack the protector. Probably also because the little space between the protector and the glass the the pen or finger touch is not so sensitive as I expect it. The protector on my 7edge had no flaws of this kind. It did its job but I don't want a new one.

Note 8 has gorilla glass so it won't break, but I'm not sure if it gets scratched (not trying to find out either), but I wanted the glass protector for that reason and it doesn't work.

Because it is floating, i have to press really hard to get my phone to work. I will be returning my Alpha Glass. I'm very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not the Best Option I decided to give this screen protector a try after other brands didn't fit too well with my Commuter. While it offers great protection/reinforcement for your actual glass, this screen protector has its cons. I was satisfied with the overall fit and finish, despite the corners not fully adhering (you could see air underneath them). The main downfall to this protector is the fact that it is not a full adhesive protector- the adhesive is only put on the edges. I'm pretty sure this is the reason why the touch sensitivity is severely altered. I considered ripping the thing off my phone after making frustrating attempts to type a message without missing keys. Finally after I found it randomly cracked, I decided to take it off. This protector would seriously benefit from a full adhesive upgrade. For now, I recommend scrolling past this product.

I ended up taking it off and don't plan to replace it.

It produced hairline cracks immediately after install from the way it snaps into the case, and then fell off the phone after one light drop of the phone. 3 weeks in and already needed a replacement.

For a total of $170 spent on the case(I bought the Otter box Note 8 case as well). So far it's been a couple weeks and seems stable. Cleaning it it a dream. My phone has never looked so clean! I've dropped my phone once and the Glass stayed on (Which is more than I can say for the last glass I had). Love it so far. 4 stars just for the price I've paid.

However it only has glue around the edges an whilst it adheres well the sensitivity of the screen has been significantly reduce. 40% of the time I have to press the screen twice to get a reaction. Will see if it gets any better with time ....of not then will remove. Never had this issue with previous Galaxy Note screen protectors from Otterbox.

Also the glue shows on the edge of the screen and is a distraction from a beautiful screen. The glue that holds the protector in place also doesn't make full contact with the phone and that makes it quite difficult to type due to it being a lower corner of the glass that won't stay down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad engineering First off the good, the guides the glass come with are great and make placing the glass fool proof. The ugly, unlike every other otter box the glass does not cover the surface area of the face of the phone so you are stuck with a very awkward lip on the top and bottom of the phone. Every time you try to swipe down the drop down menu or to check notifications your finger catches on the edge of the glass. I'm tempted to risk the broken screen and eat the expensive cost of this product just for this reason alone. Not to mention that the adhesive creates a line along the sides of the note that is extremely noticeable as well. Otter box should go back to holding the glass inside the case like all the other boxes. Also your phone loses responsiveness with the touch. You'll find that while typing some letters pressed do not register or fighting the screen to press a button and make it work. I would like my money back honestly

No noticeable reduction in touch sensitivity, no loss of visual acuity on phone. I was surprised to see this one did not have cut outs for forward facing camera but that does not seem to cause any problems. So far very satisfied.

Once it became available I immediately ordered it and once it arrived I couldn't wait to have the added protection for such an expensive device. After having it for a few weeks I can say that I'm not impressed. I've sacrificed screen functionality and looks (it's a fingerprint magnet) for protection. Now when texting or type a review I find that I have to apply more effort when pressing buttons.

It absolutely destroys the touch input on the phone and makes it very difficult to use. I think perhaps if it had more adhesive or was a bit thinner it might help, but I'm not sure how great it would be at protection. I've decided to skip the screen protector and just use the Otterbox case I bought by itself.

After a very expensive fix at the phone repair store, I went online and got an Otterbox case and the glass protector. I had no idea how to put it on and didn't realy want to know. I had my daughter do it as she used to work at a phone store. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed with purchase I’m not happy with the alpha glass because it takes away from the touch sensitivity of my note 8. I want something to protect my screen but it's terrible to try to navigate with. I’m very dissatisfied with this product. I have all ways bought Otter box but in this case I feel like it was a waist of my money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's ok. I got this to go with my new Galaxy Note 8. It was really easy to put on. The edges didn't really adhere completely, though, especially at the top. I keep getting little hairs stuck there. It does hide smudges really well. I can't really tell when I'm looking right at it, only when I see it at an angle. My biggest issue, though, is it seems to have greatly decrease the sensitivity of the touch screen, more than I thought it would. Sometimes, instead o just tapping, I have to practically punch the screen to get it to do what I'm trying to do. It also seems to be really picky as to which finger I use. I usually scroll using my thumb, but often can't with this. I don't know if it's really worth the price it's sold at, but I guess if ti keeps my phone screen from getting all scratched up I'll keep it on for a while yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not as nice as anticipated. I'm a past user of Defender cases (liked, but decided to go with Alpha for the Note8. Touch (now more like 'tap') interface takes lots more pressure than without the Alpha. I often have to go back and insert letters 'missed'. After 3 weeks of use I am getting closer to removing it...but we'll see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fit but not very tough! The Alpha glass fit perfectly & installed in seconds! But within 3 weeks it fell off my knee onto the floor, while I was in a chair. Then "crack" it shattered on the lower left corner & by thge next day, it had splintered across the screen & to the top of the glass! Not very impressive (esp. for the high price)!

Not only have I lost most of the screen sensitivity on my phone, it's an absolute magnet for fingerprints, dust and grime. I have only kept it on because I have spent $60 aud on it and it will do the job until I find something better. For something so expensive to protect such an expensive piece of technology I feel as though i have wasted my money on it

The case meet all my expectations like all the other cases I bought in the past. You should have made the case like you did the note 7 it had a sidebar also with a Built-in screen to the case. When I went into Sprint and asking if they could adjust the sensitivity for my keys they said it was impossible and a lot of people complaining because you have to push so hard on the keys because of the screen protectors so thick. Again the note 7 you had right I love the case hate the screen protector

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rather underwhelming As a Sprint associate I have always sworn by otterbox products but this one fell short. It looks like it doesn't fit the phone, makes it much more difficult to interact with my touch screen and already seems to be lifting around the edges.

It barely stuck down new and anytime I bumped or dropped my phone it fell off, it was hard to type the sensitivity level was not good on the edges. I replaced it with this Glass Screen Protector & it is awesome. It has never fell off & it is has also made texting/typing perfect. I would highly recommend this screen protector for anyone who is having a problem with theirs.

It was nice having the protection that glass has to offer, but you definitely lose a lot of sensitivity on the screen. Making a simple text message hard to type and send out. I would not recommend this considering price and functionality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice But Could Be Better The Alpha Glass does what it is supposed to do. Protect the Screen. It does NOT provide coverage anywhere beyond the usable screen area so it looks like it is a smaller floating screen protector, which is fine as it works great with a case to remain in place and not get lifted(I'm using the Otterbox Symmetry for Note 8). The installation was easy and accurate using directions, guide tools and wipes provided. My Similar experience with other curved edge screen protectors is that there is a bit of a noticeable Halo/Ring around the edges of the screen protector as it adheres to the phone. My one negative that I did not expect is that at both the top and the bottom edges there are 2 identical spots in which it looks like the adhesive of the screen protector does not seal well. It goes away for a second when I press those areas down hard, but then they re-surface moments later(see attached photos). The screen sensitivity is slightly decreased and you will have to be a little more deliberate with your typing and touches in general, but it's not a bad trade-off with the protection that this will definitely provide. It's a good product. I'm hoping that the kinks are worked out and it becomes a great product. I love Otterbox products and believe in them. This is the first one that I would only give a 3 star rating on thus far due to the issues I have mentioned and the steep price. For the time I waited and the amount I spent I was expecting perfection, but that fell short.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good protection, touch sensitivity is much less I purchased this glass to go with my defender series case for my Note 8. This is my 3rd Note phone and 3rd defender case. (A must in my opinion The glass feels amazing and looks perfect. It cleans up super easy too. Installation was quick and easy. It does look like the adhesive may not be gripping all the way in a few spots but there is no sign of it coming off. It has been on for two weeks now. Sensitivity with the s pen is perfect. The pen slides nice and never misses a tap. The only drawback is that sensitivity has decreased when using my fingers, especially the left side if the screen. This makes typing difficult and it tough for my kids to use the phone. I used the guides to install it and it looks perfectly aligned. This was my one concern with going with the glass screen - however, I fully believe otter box protection is superior and trust there products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cracked within two days I put this product on my phone on a Tuesday and it cracked by Thursday. I haven’t dropped it and so I am not sure how or when it happened. It appears to be covered by the warranty, but having to pay shipping and handling after two days of use is irritating. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good premise but has flaws Obviously looks really pretty while being protective at first. But the newness quickly wears off when dirt & grime accumulate beneath the "sticky" mounting edges on all four sides which cannot be accessed or cleaned without removing the protective cover... a second adhering install cannot be counted on to fully work. And would soon be obsolete when the cover needs cleaning around the edges again. Again, looks pretty but the cleanliness factor doesn't go the distance.
