I just purchased 5 - of the 540 units and everyone one of us have been complaining how the plastic ear holder is so uncomfortable. The last wireless was flexable and very comfortable. Rated 1 out of 5 by New CS540 stopped working after a month or so I bought the CS540 headset for work to use with my Lucent 6408D+ phone. The headset was easy to set up, and worked great at first. But after a month or so, it suddenly stopped working. I cannot hear a dial tone anymore. If I press any buttons on the headset, I can hear the beeping, but no dial tone when I attempt to make a call. I tried unplugging everything and starting over -- nothing. I tried unpairing and then pairing the headset and the base -- nothing. I tested the headset on another collegue's phone -- nothing. I tried using another cord -- nothing. I finally gave up and called Plantronics customer service. They asked me some questions, and had me try a couple of things, but again -- no luck. So they finally gave me a case number, and sent me an email with instructions to request a replacement. It was a fairly easy process, though, it would have been nice if they could just request the replacement for me over the phone, rather than me having to go to their website, create an account, etc. We'll see if how quickly they can send me a replacement, if the replacement works, and how long it continues to work.....But for now, I can only give this 1 star. My collegue, however, has the same headset and has been using it for years with no problems. So I don't know if I was just unlucky and got a defective one. August 26, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broken This headset had a broken speaker when it was sent. I've spent over 3 hours with tech support whom finally concluded I needed a new product. I've still not heard back from Plantronics when they will send me a product that actually works since I bought one I've never been able to use. August 7, 2016
