Professional installation, configuration, and knowledge transfer for a Veeam Backup and Replication Solution for a single site PROJECT GOALS
The goals for this project include the following services.
1. Remotely coordinate and plan Veeam Backup and Replication (local only) solution to integrate with existing infrastructure and SAN
2. Remotely install and configure one (1) Veeam Backup and Replication (local only) Server
3. Remotely configure ten (10) existing vCenter, or standalone ESX/ESXi servers, to interoperate with Veeam Backup and Replication Server
4. Remotely configure and test one (1) virtual server for backup and restoration for validation
5. Provide knowledge transfer for Veeam Backup and Replication solution
EXPECTATIONS
In order for the project to be successful, Promark Technology will require the following from the customer:
• Remote access to all systems included in this project (VPN or RDP preferred) – prior to project kick-off
• Remote console support (hardware and supported OS or network) for each device to be configured – prior to project kick-off
• Proposed networking scheme with IP address ranges to be used for each device, management network – delivered one week prior to install date
• All hardware for this project will be available - prior to project kick-off
• All hardware and supported operating systems will meet Veeam’s compatibility and support requirements.
• Existing network switches/ports configured as defined in networking scheme by customer staff – prior to project kick-off
• Provide application and system configuration level knowledge for the current environment
• All replication and backup resources must be locally accessible via standard Ethernet LAN technology
• Promark will not troubleshoot any hardware or software that is not functioning prior to the installation
• Each server OS is required to be newly installed and licenses (no other software can be present before installation)
• The customer is responsible for backups of their existing environment prior to installation
WORK BREAKDOWN (BY TASK)
Task 1 – Site assessment and solution design
• Gathering all pertinent data about the following:
• Servers and applications
• Network Infrastructure
• Storage and Data requirements
• Review of existing environment’s design, implementation, and dependencies

Task 2 – Hardware Installation and configuration (customer’s responsibility)
• Install, configure, and validate proper functionality of any applicable component
• Server (OS, storage, network)
• Network switch (cables, ports, configuration)
• Storage Controller (cables, ports, configuration)
• SAN Switch (cables, ports, configuration)
• Run system diagnostics tools to validate hardware prior to software installation and configuration. Install all required firmware for each component, if necessary. Install any required cables for internal and external access.

Task 3 – Veeam Backup and Replication (local only) Server software Installation and Configuration
• Validate hardware configuration before beginning software installation based on initial design requirements from task 1
• Install and configure Veeam Backup and Replication (local only) Server software as designed in task 1
• Configure and test one (1) virtual server for backup and restoration

Task 4 – Training and Documentation
• NPS will provide the customer with basic configuration document and knowledge transfer on the entire project encompassing this scope of work.
