Rated 5 out of 5 by from Piece of junk! Do not buy!!Full disclosure, I am a Samsung employee and got this on discount from the employee store. That said, this Chromebook is junk! I love my Samsung TVs, and my Samsung washer & dryer are great, but I will never buy another Chromebook from Samsung again. Pretty much every day, the screen will go crazy and start zooming in and out randomly, making it impossible to use until the random zooming stops and you can reset the screen to 100%. Rebooting and factory resetting the Chromebook didn't help, so this is probably a hardware issue. This started happening in month 3 or 4, and has continued basically every day for a year. My daughter is so frustrated trying to get her homework done that she would use anything else if we had an alternative for her, but unfortunately we're stuck with this nearly uses piece of junk. Sorry Samsung this one is a definite loser.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great device for 21st century usersDisclaimer - if possible I would have given this a 4.5 overall. Not quite "5".!The physical design is great. I love the screen. Love the flexible 'convertible' design (with some caveats below. The keyboard is not a full-size, mechanical switch keyboard (duh!), but it's certainly sufficient for me.I've been using a Chromebook for a couple of years as a personal device to tote along with my corporate anchor (laptop). That, and the fact that I'm a "Google" user, means that I'm pretty comfortable with the Chromebook as a device. The test was to see if I could use the features of this Chromebook Plus as a primary device. The Android apps are great. I see occasional issues with some of the apps scaling to fit the larger screen, but for the most part they work as advertised.A few of the Chromebook apps don't work perfectly with the touch screen.I haven't really used the pen/stylus much.Overall - I use this Chromebook everyday. I set it up tent-style to read the news while I'm eating breakfast. I use it periodically throughout the day to read email and/or news setup as a laptop while I'm working on my corporate Windows laptop or my personal Linux desktop. In the evening i'm reading with the device in 'tablet' mode.Definitely happy with it. Will probably move my wife from a Windows laptop to a Chromebook Plus sometime in the next few months

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprisedI bought this to replace my Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 which was on its' last legs. I had pretty much settled on the GS3 Tablet when I discovered the Chromebooks with Android. I read a ton of reviews and went to a local electronics store to play with this one, the Pro version and looked at the Asus Chromebook before deciding to give it a try. I love the large screen (that had been my sole hesitation to bite the bullet with the GS3 tablet having spent the past 3+ years with the 12" tablet). The display is beautiful and the majority of Android apps I use work flawlessly on this Chromebook. For the few apps that aren't supported there is either a Chrome extension or app or I just use the website if available. I have everything I want and had on the tablet on this Chromebook. One of the negatives I had seen on many reviews was poor speaker quality, particularly with regard to the volume level - people complained it was not loud enough. I find them to be ok: adequate, not bad, but not great. I can listen to a movie without needing to use a headphone or connect an external speaker. However, I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time listening to music through these speakers. The keyboard is okay, not as roomy as my laptop but certainly much better than the keyboard for the GS3 or similar sized device. It is a bit cramped so lots of typo's that need to be fixed. Which leads me to: why the heck is there no Delete key!? Yes, there is a shortcut for delete but still, come on!! Also, the backspace key is the size of all the other keys - being used to a larger backspace key I frequently hit the "equal" sign key instead. The Chromebook is snappy and the apps work as well as they did on my former Android tablet. One feature I really like is having the built-in/attached keyboard. I had the Samsung keyboard for the Pro 12.2. However, the tablet just sat in a slot with a short back to support it. It frequently got knocked over, feel out or otherwise had issues staying upright. This is my first Chromebook. I found it really easy to set up, download apps and get started. Way easier than setting up a Windows laptop. Some aspects of Chrome are intuitive and others have required that I google to find the solution (Copy and Paste is an example).I would have preferred to have more storage. 32 G is ok until you start downloading movies, books and magazines, 64 G version would be much better. One of the downsides of the Chromebook/Android solution is that Android apps will not save to or read data saved to the micro SD card. That is unfortunate and something I hope Android and Chrome address in a future update. I had all my movies on a micro SD card on my Android tablet (Netflix and Play Movies had no issue reading the data) so I know its' possible to have it work that way.Overall, I am quite satisfied with this purchase. I would recommend this Chromebook if you surf the web, use social media, and want the added benefit of Android apps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speaker Max Volume's Way Too Low!Speaker Max Volume Is Way Too Low! Can barely hear any sound if there's any ambient noise in the room! I believe it's the software issue cuz it does sounds pretty loud when running android games! So please increase the max sound level of the speaker by pushing new software update asap! I decided to return mine mainly due to this low volume issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost every Android app experiences huge problemsAlthough they say that Nougat will fix the problems, Android apps simply do not run smoothly. I rushed out and bought this Chromebook, and bought the only one they had at Best Buy. At first I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything ran. However, when I folded the keyboard back to use it as a tablet, the apps would not resize appropriately, and there is no way to enter full screen mode. Instead, virtually every app runs in the middle of the screen, with enormous blank space around it. (See screenshot)The physical design is pretty good, with a bright vibrant display, and a pretty good keyboard. Battery life is also excellent. The stylus is really nice too, although I am very confused why it does not include a side button as most other S-pens do, which is a huge disappointment. That means, when you're taking notes, there's no secondary button you can tap to erase, as there is on the Samsung Tab A with S pen.The machine can't really run games without stuttering, and most productivity apps, including Microsoft Word are "unavailable for my device." So, I'm not sure what you would use this for, in its current state.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Android Apps!!Bought unit on 2/12/17 - can not install Android Apps - This unit was plugged with having support for Android Apps - the setting in Chrome indicates its a beta only feature. I have updated the unit to the most recent software and I can't enable it even in beta. Technical support has no clue how to assist.Battery has not exploded yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wi-Fi IssuesThese units appear to be plagued by a wi-fi issue. I had 2 in a row where I was not able to get above 1/2 meg/sec download. Updating Chrome OS and the firmware did not provide a fix. Great concept, but until the wi-fi issue is resolved, not very useful. I believe the units I had were manufactured in early 2017, so perhaps the newer units have this issue corrected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice productOverall this is a nice product. Love the design and the sleek metal case. Nice and lightweight for using on your lap. I bought it for watching movies/videos, which it is a perfect size for that. I like that I can use it tent style without it falling over. Unfortunately, this also brings up the weakness. The sound doesn't seem very loud or robust to me. I actually have to connect a Bluetooth speaker to hear the sound clearly. One last thing...the Wifi connection is spotty. I am constantly turning it on and off to reconnect, and the signal strength is not as good as my Galaxy tab that I have in the same room.
