Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressive phone!I have been an iPhone user for over 10 years, let me preface this by saying I’m not very tech oriented person, but I wanted to try this new phone the Samsung S8. I was very impressed with the quality of the screen, the ease-of-use, the quality of pictures it would take, and the edge shortcut apps in favorite people. I wasn’t thrilled with the placement of the volume switch because I kept accidentally turning the volume down or off. Another slight flaw for me was with the curved edge glass it was very easy to hit buttons when I’m talking on the phone with my cheek. All this said and done I enjoyed my time with the Samsung phone and it was really a very hard decision whether to keep the phone or go back to my iPhone. In the end I made the decision to go back to the iPhone only because the familiarity and ease of communicating with the rest of my family. Changing from an iPhone to the Samsung was difficult getting my calls to go through in my text to my family that had iPhones, once we solve that problem communication became a lot easier. Overall I would highly recommend this phone to anyone some of this highly technological and someone like me that’s not a very big techie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Service Center failed.1. I was using it fine. One day failed to start.2. Sent in for repair on 8/18/18.3. Just got it back on 8/31/18.4. Samsung did not fix it. The letter came with the phone said simply, "unable to fix"5. Called Samsung. Was on hold for 32 min. After several transfers, I was told there was a liquid damage.6. How can there be a liquid damage when it never went near water?7. Isn't Samsung Galaxy S8 water resistant to begin with?8. It took Samsung over 10 days to determine that there is a water damage?9. I have had many Samsung products in the past. I have to confess it will take a lot for me to consider Samsung again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fragile phone, sucksI got this phone for a month now. I always take so much care of my phones, I don't take it out without a case and a film. Today I had it in my pocket and once I take it out, completely out of the blue, the screen is shattered close to the earphone. I only could've hit it with my hand. This is the most fragile phone I have ever had and seen. I contacted Samsung ask how could this happened with a supposedly indestructible screen. They would only say that it cannot scratch but can break, no answers, bad phone, and of course they don't care about it. Never buying from Samsung again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first and last phone with curved glassIt took me 4 days to scratch the screen on this thing. I traded in a 2 year old S5 with pristine glass. I think the curvature just exposes it and makes it easy to scratch. It's very hard to find a case with a built in screen protector for it, and I hate stick on protectors. The curved glass has no utility; I guess it's supposed to be pretty. If you value form over function, it's your money, I guess. I'd rather have a package that isn't as flimsy as a raw egg. I have no complaints about how it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZINGLY SURPRISED!!!!Let me start by saying I was dead set on purchasing the Note 8. For financial reasons ONLY, I decided to go with the bundle deal. Let me tell you, I am NOT disappointed in any way. I absolutely LOVE my S8 and I wouldn't trade it for the world right now. My first epic moment was discovering the fact that I can divide the screen and work on TWO things at once. Can we say MULTI-TASKING EASY PEASY!!! On to my next epic thrill was the AWESOME feature called Bixby!! Who would have known the commands this little deal could do? I can take a picture of anything I need additional info on and this little gadget will give me details about it. So STOKED on it, I use it against Google!!! LMBO, seriously, try it!!! My children have since discovered my little friend Bixby and have since used it against me when I ask questions about hypothesis only the internet can handle. I'm overly impressed by the retina and fingerprint security features. It was very easy to set-up. It only took me two tries and I was ready to go. However, I am a fancy girl and I have long nails and that can be pretty tricky when I have to use my fingerprint to unlock my phone. So, to alleviate that, I only use it when I am going to be out of the house. Let's move along to the one feature that EVERYONE was talking about at the store, the CAMERA. YASSSSSS honey, the camera is so clear and precise I can see everything I want to see and even some things I don't!!! The adorable little animations that you can utilize to make your pics even MORE picturesque are to die for. I mean who knew I can catch fish in my mouth just by opening my mouth!!! Totally hilarious. On to the battery, I have had many cell phones that usually die after 24 hours. This phone can hold it charge VERY well. I may have to charge it fully every other day. No, I'm not a HEAVY cell phone user, but I am better that an average user. The storage is great for all the apps and the pics I need, no complaints there. The functionality of this phone is great for beginners, pros, and tweenies (in between. I can honestly say I am very impressed with the S8. The fact that I can track my GF2 health along with the S8 is priceless. I have become more health conscious since I purchased both. I set daily goals and monitor my exercise more now that I have ever. These are great products and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable, well built pair of mobile accessories. Great job Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring back the sensitivity adjustment.I am a BIG fan of samsung. All my phones have been samsung. I love the S8 for the most part but one thing I dislike is the touch sensor on the phone. At least the S7 had adjustment for sensitivity. You make the phones with glass that will break if you look at it cross-eyed and then, so I don't have to buy a new phone every week, I put a tempered glass screen protector on it, now all the touches take extra hard touch. Real handy if you want to skip a song while moving, ok on a motorcycle or in a car... NOT!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black screen every couple daysAfter purchasing the phone, about one week later phone started to freeze with black screen. Upon continues effort of contacting customer service, technical support, visiting best buy store to talk with Samsung rep to get the phone re-flash, phone continue to freeze with black screen. They do not let me exchange the phone where as they want to return the entire order and reorder from online. But order includes the promotion that i got on the camera and trade-in offer which was no longer available. Hence even upon returning the phone, i would ONLY get the price i paid minus the trade-in offer where i already send my working phone. So in this case, i had no option left but the keep my phone even though its defective and send for repair even within 3 week of purchase. This was a very bad service i receive where phone that is ONLY 2-3 weeks old was not being exchange despite of being defective. This was the first time i purchased from Samsung.com and i have been Samsung phone user ever since Samsung Galaxy S2. I would not recommend anyone to by from online when their is a promotion running because if their is an issue with the phone, it a lose lose situation for the customer.
