Product Reviews
Sierra AirLink GX440 Wireless Cellular Modem is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Antenna Issues My company uses these devices at many locations. Often (too often) the antenna connector becomes loose - it is a bad design or should have thread locker installed during production. Also, I was setting up 1 of these at a location where the 4G signal was particularly low the building is a Faraday cage. I had installed a wireless repeater in the building and had adjusted the levels inside the building where the unit should work. After about 10 minutes of testing, I found the unit performed BETTER with the left hand antenna (as you face the unit) REMOVED! The 4G signal levels immediately jumped almost 30db and 4G immediately locked in. The unit has been working perfectly ever since. Try it yourself. The 2nd antenna causes issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Look at Cradlepoint modems I purchased this modem and it operated ok, but after a while it started to have connectivity issues. It could not keep a 4G signal for more than a few days. It would revert to 3G. And after a while it would lock up and no longer communicate. Spoke with the manufacturer and basically it was explained to me that there was a bug that they have been trying to fix in the firmware since october of last year. I asked if I could be escalated in customer support be cause the device is in a inaccessible location and it needs to be reliable and I was told NO. I only own 1 device so I cannot get that level of support. Buyer beware there is a supposed fix coming, but nobody knows when and they refused to help. Consider this before buying.
