It's easy to install and adds very little weight. I like the clear because I prefer to,see the silver color of my MB. I highly recommend this case for anyone looking to protect their device.

It just snaps onto the machine and none of the ports and vents are obscured. It really feels premium quality - and I hope my 14 year old never has to test the drop performance but knowing how hard he is on his gear, I'd rather have this than not!

I had a Smart Shell case, which is ultra thin, very light weight. The clear case offers much better protection and is somewhat heavier which is to be expected for the quality. No question, this is the case for protecting my MacBook Pro!

I sent it back and purchased this one and immediately knew it was higher quality. It fits snugly on my laptop and I love the sleek design. I've owned Speck cases in the past and have always loved them. I won't use anything different in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek and attractive protection With a brand new MacBook Pro that I intend to use for travel - a lot of travel - primarily for uploading photographs from my mirrorless Nikon camera, it seemed wise to buy it some protection. I'm impressed with the fit, the nonslip pads on the bottom, and the vents to let heat escape. The Speck case added very little weight and really negligible thickness considering how much protection it offers.

Provides far better protection than the UAG as well. Does not make my laptop overheat like the UAG did and doesn't have all the open vents where dust, dog hair, etc. can creep in. MacBooK Pro stays mint clean like it's supposed to. Purchased in the onyx black

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would encourage you to purchase it. Fits great, just like a glove. The surface is shiny but the ridge keeps it from being slippery. The ridge allows for something extra to grab onto. The only thing I don't care for is how bulky it makes the laptop. It's all there. I'm faced with buying a slim design that doesn't fit very well, or this great Speck cover. With the computer being as pricey as it was, it just makes sense to go with the best fitting, most protective cover. I still miss their soft touch rubberized case line...those were fantastic.

This case appears to be very durable with better bumper protection. Hope it lasts as well as the Speck case on my last laptop - which is still looking and functioning great after years of use.

My son just got a new Mac last week and we immediately bought the same one for him. It looks great, is durable and I don't have to worry about our computers not being protected.

Only issue is that it makes it much bulkier and heavier -- would recommend a slimmer design in the future. At the same time, this provides maximum security and the laptop feels well protected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from would not recommend The case doesn't fit well. The bottom is great but the part that fits on the screen portion pops off occasionally. When I called to see what I should do, the guy gave me instructions if i wanted to return it but it seemed a bigger deal than i wanted to contend with, as it would be a replacement. I didn't want to then find that it didn't fit either. Even though the box claimed to fit 2017 mac book pros, i think it was really meant for the 2016, as it just didn't quite fit. The thickness of the cover is good, just doesn't fit right. Would not recommend.

The only complaint I have with the product is that my dongle does not fit on the side due to how prominent the sides of the case are. However, I understand that is done for protection, and I am only mildly inconvenienced by it.

It wouldn't stay put on the lid of the machine. I tried and tried and called for support but to no avail.

But I do carry to other places, and it only takes a single drop to destroy my computer. And I have dropped my iPhones more than a few times over the years. They all have had Speck cases too, and none was damaged by falling to the floor.

Subtle but effective. The clear case looks great and I like putting a few stickers on it and they stick well to this plastic. It is reassuring knowing that if I did drop it that it will be well protected (highly unlikely!)

The only downside to this case is how thick it makes my macbook seem, but I guess that is extra protection. Overall, a great purchase. I recommend

I wasn't sure at first because the description states made for 2016 + .I have a 2018 MacBook Pro 13" 2018 and it fits perfectly! Finally, a case that fits. I purchased the black color. Yes, it can show some prints but they wipe off. The black is "see through" so it looks chic. I have never had an issue with my phone *Speck cases so I felt more confident in my purchase. I recommend this product to anyone with a 2018 13" MacBook Pro.

I can now rest assured that my case is well protected from minor drops, dents, and scratches.
