It is sufficient for carrying your 17 inch laptop but would be better if it was wider with outside compartments to store wireless mouse, power cords, other accessories.

good, with some reservations
So far I like the laptop but I don't appreciate that it no longer includes traditional usb ports so that I a compelled to get adapters for the mouse, and thumb drives, which is particularly annoying. I am also not a fan of the touch-pad, but that is just a personal preference.

For my purposes, which was to carry my XPS 17, it was too bulky. For the person who want to carry lots of other accessories, it may be the right fit.

Lap top is not secure in the brief case
OK. No interior padding, so lots of movement of the 17 inch device in the carrying case. Too much. Also, no sensible place of charging cord to go. It fits, but clumsy and bulgy. But the big issue is that the lap top is not secure in the brief case.

It may seem insignificant but the proper carrying bag makes all the difference in the world. The Targus Slim Topload allows me to be mobile and secure knowing the little knocks and dings will not damage my laptop because of its neoprene padding.

Just right.
I love this case. My 17-inch Inspiron snugs into it just right. I have room for my mouse and any paperwork I might need. I don't travel out of town very often and when I do I will just put the extra power cord in with my luggage; it might fit into the case but it would be rubbing against the Inspiron. The carrying strap makes it effortless to carry and I love the style. All around a very good purchase.

The laptop bag arrived prompty. Dell's customer service is top-notch in following-up and letting me know when the bag would arrive.
It fits my Inspiron 7737, 17", 7000 series perfectly with enough space for mouse and other accessories.
Dell sells it cheaply and price matches. Do yourself a favor and buy from Dell!!! Great customer service, great price!

Excellent 17 inch laptop protector for student use
I bought this laptop protector bag for my son's Inspiron 1764 so he could take it back and forth to school. It is a perfect fit with no slip. The pockets allow for a student to carry the things relative to basic school supplies and the distinctive coloring of the bag makes it unique among any other laptops so other users do not get their laptops mixed up with his. I have had excellent results with Dell supplied products both personally and professionally. Dell is my first choice for computer shopping. Thank You.

I have always been a fan of Dell. Lately I am finding that the quality is not what it use to be and the fact that there are no stores or Kiosks around anymore is making me think twice about continuing to shop through Dell. I just bought this carrying case and the first time I used it the strap broke. The last one I bought fell apart in a month. It is just not right and the printer I bought in the last few months is not very good. I am having second thoughts about Dell.

Good, but not great.
I purchased this bag to keep my machine clean and protect it. It is a light-weight bag but is a very good fit for my new Dell 17" laptop. I'm not sure the hand straps would stand up to vigorous use on a daily basis, but I'm retired so it's not an issue. Overall, it's perfect for what I need it for.

No frills and brake check spills
This is as light weight as a bag can be. Only downside is front pouch won't seal with a pad of paper in it. Que me throwing in passenger seat, hitting the brakes and watching my front pouch empty out. Good bag overall.
