Rated 5 out of 5 byacustomer from *WARNING* Does not fit a Tecra Z40-COrdered a PA5116U-2PRP for a Tecra Z40-C and it does not fit although the item details that it works for this model. There is another part number, PA5116U-1PRP which is not longer available that refers back to this part. But I believe the 1-PRP is actually needed for a Z40-C. The black posts next to the pins on this model, are too close together - the socket itself looks like it would work.. if desperate, one could hacksaw them off I suppose.

Rated 5 out of 5 byJohn from One size fits all.Toshiba used to make a shorter version .This unit fits all and is too large and takes up a lot of space if all you want is a small laptop . Also the laptop sits at the edge and not on top like the old models.

Rated 5 out of 5 byASads from Makes working in the office and on the road a cinch.I have it hidden and use monitors and remote keyboard, mouse, and speakers hooked to the docking station which allows me to have a "desktop" in the office - real monitors and keyboard, and simply eject my laptop for travels. I then have all my files at my fingertips no matter where I am.

It performs well and reliably in every environment in which I've used it - public meetings, private work, whatever. It never croaks in the middle of an important project.
