The desktop B004-DP2UA2-K 2-Port DisplayPort 1.2 KVM Switch lets you access, control, boot and reboot two 4K DisplayPort computers using one DisplayPort monitor, keyboard and mouse. Switching between computers is quick and simple using a connected remote port selector, keyboard hotkeys or mouse scroll wheel. The B004-DP2UA2-K supports Multi-Stream Transport (MST), so you can use multiple monitors via one DisplayPort connector.

By adding a powered USB 2.0 hub (sold separately) to the switch, you increase functionality by allowing USB peripherals - such as printers, hard drives, scanners, webcams and thumb drives - to be shared between computers. You can also plug microphones and speakers into the 3.5 mm mini-stereo jacks. Because audio and the B004-DP2UA2-K can be switched independently of each other, you can access one computer while listening to audio on the other.

All necessary cables are included. The B004-DP2UA2-K supports Ultra High Definition (UHD) video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 60 Hz, 2.1-channel surround sound, HD Audio, EDID and HDCP. All connected computers receive the console monitor's EDID information to ensure top video quality.

The B004-DP2UA2-K is easy to set up with no software or drivers to install. It supports Windows, Mac, Linux and Sun. It also supports DisplayPort Dual Mode (DP++) for directly outputting single-link DVI or HDMI signals via adapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent KVMI have one large 43" Ultra HD 4K monitor with 3840 x 2160 resolution that I share between a desktop and laptop, all using DisplayPort connections. I also use a trackball mouse. I never thought I would find a compatible KVM switch. I tried IO Gear and their KVM did not work. I researched several other KVM switches from other manufacturers, and none were compatible. I was hesitant due to the price, but this switch has been great. One of the features I like is that is has only one USB connection to each PC, whereas most KVMs have two (one for mouse and one for keyboard). I also like the desktop button for switching. The unit has small white lights to indicate which PC is currently active, which really helps during installation and troubleshooting. It is compact, and has nice long cables to connect each PC. I have been very pleased with this KVM switch, and highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Typical Tripp LiteProduct description: "***All*** connected computers receive the console monitor's EDID information to ensure top video quality." That means your computer won't rearrange your desktop and turn the computer off every time you switch away. Then after you buy it and it doesn't work, they tell you (from the FAQ):"The B004-DP2UA2-K transmits the monitor's EDID information to the selected computer upon connection. When switching ports, the EDID information of the monitor is sent to the newly ***selected*** computer, with the de-selected computer seeing the monitor as being **disconnected.**."That means your computer WILL rearrange your desktop and turn the computer off every time you switch away.
