Not sure if this would fit my laptop *HELP*
I have a acer Nitro 5 an515-42-r** with a ddr4 sdram memory I've been trying to find a ram stick with sdram on it but they all have sodimm so I was just wondering if anyone knew if I have to find one with sdram on it or can I just get the sodimm one and it will work fine. I'm pretty new with this kind of stuff so please let me know if you can help me out

It certainly sped up my computer, but ever since I installed the 2 new memory sticks, my computer frequently locks up with many different colored lines across the screen. Going to remove the new memory and reinstall the old ones. Worse part about this is my HP Pavilion doesn't have an access panel to the memory, I have remove the entire underside.

I use my 16 GB of RAM for laptop applications for College. The laptop must be ran for a veriety of purposes and 16 GB of RAM may sound overkill but when you need to open applications on the spot and you want things to function properly you cant go wrong with Crucial.

Laptop specs indicate it can only handle 8GB of memory, but based on reviews read, I went ahead and got the 16GB kit. Works just fine in both an e6420 and e6520 (I have both, one for each of my two girls). Great price, easy to install, worked as expected out of the box.

It's sometimes gets difficult trying to find larger memory that works with older workstations. Went through quite a few memory sticks from Fleabay that either weren't compatible or didn't work at all (jury is still out till I got something newer to test them in). No messing around and can continue to use some older machines for at least a few more years.

Faster memory but unable to use it
I use Adobe Creative Suite and slightly older QuarkXPress and have many apps running at once. I wanted to upgrade memory to enable me to use VMware efficiently on this HP ProBook 4540s. i believe the original specs for this laptop said it comes with h 8Gb of memory and was upgradable to 16Gb. Crucial had 3 different kits to use on this laptop. It wouldn't boot with 2-8Gb sticks installed. Either stick of memory in either slot worked well. The laptop ran faster. I had to return the memory.

A word of caution: Verify with your system's documentation (or the manufacturer's website) on the maximum amount of RAM it can support. Crucial's Memory Advisor Tool may have incomplete or outdated info; it stated that my laptop's model can use up to 8GB when in fact its maximum is 16GB. Other than this bit of misinformation, the RAM itself is working fine (*knocks on wood*).

The Netbook is the right size and weight, but underpowered in RAM. The manufacture built it with 4GB max. This Crucial RAM allowed a 8GB upgrade without DELL confirming it would work. It worked and now its running the 8GB with Windows 10 (not my favorite operating system due to its "apps").

You can't believe everything. 8Gb RAM in a acer notebook.
Crucial listed 4Gb max for my Acer Aspire One 722-0473. The little notebook gave it's maximum RAM as 4Gb too. I heard on the grapevine that 8Gb would work and my notebook was so slow that I decided to give the rumor a shot.The notebook gained speed, lots of speed. I have used Crucial products before and have always been pleased this is no exception. I'd do it again without hesitation. The notebook shows 8Gb and 7.73 useable in system properties. I reduced the slow virtual memory to 512mb-1024mb it seems to be faster with the RAM doing the work.

I was able to open the package and install it with ease. I turned on my computer and it loaded the new memory just fine. For someone who does not know how to change their own memory, this doesn't come with instructions, so please review videos on how to change memory out if you plan on buying this (if you don't know how).

adding more than 8 gig on 64-bit windows only gives speed improvement for software that runs LARGE data like RAW image processing, video processing, etc. No real improvement for Excel, etc. Then only a tiny bit snappier. I do advanced scientific processing and little benefit except if software is designed to use it. I did need it and Crucial gave great price, good service, etc and more trustworthy than noname overseas companies.

the schematic this all in one I upgraded says it takes 16gb ddr? it only took 12gb..I had to leave the 4gb in and just add 1 Crucial 8gb to it..The all in one came with 1 2gb and 1 4gb ddr...And I installed a competitors sdd in it...that I had to format to NTFS after a week of failed installation shut downs and f2/f12 factory recoveries...!?@#$%^&*()

The Latitude e5530 listed that it could be custom ordered with 16GB of memory, but only gave regular ordering options for up to 8GB (2 x 4GB). I ordered the e5530 with minimum installed memory, then replaced the included memory with two of these and it works just fine.

Leave it to Crucial to take care of you. I just bought a Toshiba laptop and ordered this RAM to max it out. My RAM was out of stock so I called to see what they could do. The representative let me know that while the RAM I wanted was compatible, the Toshiba's make you update the BIOS. I'm not too uncomfortable with messing with the BIOS, but I would rather not if possible. He told me I could get the RAM that matched my computer with no BIOS changes. Got the RAM, installed it, no issues.

My laptop had 4G of memory and bumped it up to 16G. But I really did not notice a big improvement in speed. It boots up and operates the same. But then I have not been working with any large files. Those are done daily on a desktop.

I bought 2 of these sticks after reading a few posts indicating that it was the same part as the crucial memory sticks packaged for apple products, but these are a few bucks cheaper. Work perfectly and are totally compatible. Memtest found no issues.

I have a Asus ROG G750 High end gaming laptop that came with 8 gig of ram but it expandable to 32 gig. I added another 16 gig for a total of 24 which is a ton of memory . I had a hard time finding the wright kind of ram for my laptop and Crucial made it easy with the system scan. I takes ddr3L, not regular ddr3. Its the L on the end that makes it hard to find, I looked every where , until some one told me about Crucial. They scanned my system and I learned that the L was LOW VOlt 1.35 instead of a typical laptop that has 1.50 . The two 8 gig sticks were exactly what I needed and they work like they are suppose to.

I purchased this 8 RAM to replace the 4 RAM in my HP 15 TS Notebook PC because with later updates of Window 10, my Notebook stopped working properly even after I reinstalled Windows 10. I would frequently get that blue screen telling me my computer needed to restart. After installing the 8 RAM, the maximum my PC allows, my Notebook is now working flawlessly. I also liked that the Crucial website offered a program to check for a compatibility replacement on my computer. It did the compatibility test and all I needed to do was the ordering and, of course, installing.

I have a 8 year old Lenovo G500 laptop that had 4GB of RAM so I was told what to buy from the person at CDW so I bought 2 of these boards and he was right there is two slots for them, and they fit right in.
My machine only says I have 8GB of ram instead of 16, but it runs Windows 10 a lot better, I have to find out how to get the other board to work or why it doesn't use both boards.

Improved Laptop Memory
The memory card was easy to install in my 5 yr old Dell Inspiron 3543 laptop. Crucial's website was helpful in helping me choose the right card & instructing how to install it. The card works as it should and my laptop's memory use no longer maxes out.

Look up a video on YouTube how to put it and and make sure you plug all your stuff back in if you need to take out the motherboard.

I started seeing my browser saying not enough RAM
Needed RAM upgrade for this laptop. Getting slow with several browser tabs open, so I opted to double the RAM. Going 8MB to 16MB isn't huge, but seems to be what I needed.

The whole process was simple and hassle free.
I used the memory boost on the same device that I am writing this review, a DEL Inspiron 13 5000 Series.
The item arrived within two days and was installed that same day.
Everything passed without a hitch. I also ordered a 500GB SSD to keep the Notebook working and that too was delivered at the same time and installed on the same day.
