Rated 5 out of 5 byAngry Customer123456789 from Worst product ever!Bought this for a new Lenovo laptop we had purchased. This should be as simple as plug and play. But could not get the monitors to work consistently no matter what we tried. Sent back and got another one hoping for hardware issue but still same problem. Sometimes took 45 minutes of setup before they would work. But if you un-dock, everything is lost. Called Lenovo support which was a waste of time and not friendly at all. Very disappointed. Last Lenovo product I buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 byKevin 4324 from The workstation dock 230w does not perform wellI recently purchased a Lenovo Workstation Dock 230W for my new Thinkpad P71 (OS Win 10). I tried to hook up two monitors to it and it did not perform as expected. Major problem: After waking up the laptop, the monitors stay black indicating no signal. I had to undock the laptop, liftup the lid, log on, and re-dock it. The monitors light up with low resolutions (600 x 800), and I had to reboot the laptop to gain correct resolutions.I updated the firmware to version 2.33.000 per instructions online. Not helpful! The both monitors work perfect with my old thinkpad laptop (Win 7) and its dock.The new dock wasted me whole day and it is very frustrating. Suggest not to buy this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 byCoder from Doesn't support multiple monitorsWe've spent hours trying to get this dock to work with external monitors. The Firmware Update utility fails to work, so even with a monitor plugged in we can't get it to update. In the end all I'm using it for now is power, I have to manually plugin my monitors each time I plug in my PC. While I really like my P71 laptop, I can't say I'd go with Lenovo again due to this useless non-functioning device. For the next 2-3 years I'm going to need to plug and unplug my monitor cables ever time I move my laptop. Don't make the same mistake, don't buy this dock.

Rated 5 out of 5 byKelliB70 from I thought this was great at first....I received this 2 weeks before my laptop arrived. I unpacked it and started using on Feb 20th after my laptop arrived. I have disconnected my laptop only once, for travel on March 9th. When I returned and put the laptop on the docking station it was NOT charging the laptop. After several hours and attempts at figuring out why it wouldn’t charge I tried to contact support! Two days later I am Still trying to get assistance! I have not even been using the workstation for a month and it is not working. So disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 byTOlivo from It's a dock, it does what you'd expectAs a business user, the dock is essentially mandatory. It works well with the laptop display open and closed. Higher power USB ports on the back for phone charging is a nice touch.
