James Bell currently serves as the Lead Independent Director of our Board of Directors, a position he has held since March 2025.
Bell is the former Executive Vice President, Corporate President and Chief Financial Officer of The Boeing Company, an aerospace company and manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft, a position he held from 2008 to 2012. Prior to this position, he served as Boeing’s Senior Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller from 2000 to 2003, and Vice President of Contracts and Pricing for Boeing Space and Communications from 1996 to 2000.
Bell also served on the board of directors of Apple Inc., DowDupont Inc., and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Bell is a graduate of California State University at Los Angeles where he earned a bachelor’s degree.
