PING: the first note in verifying Ethernet connectivity

A properly functioning network should be music to your ears. Tune into your network with our Net-Ping Network IP Tester. Use this handheld tester to install and maintain networks running TCP/IP protocol.

With the Net-Ping Network IP Tester, you can verify physical layer connectivity between any two points on a network. The tester sends a data packet, or PING, to another IP address on the network and then receives the packet again. Set up two testers to PING each other and test network end-to-end operation before installing workstations, servers, or other network devices.

Run the tester on 10/100BASE-T Ethernet networks. It’s smartly designed to communicate directly with 10BASE-T hubs, switches, routers, NICs, and other equipment. It can also communicate with 10/100BASE-T equipment set for 10BASE-T. It identifies 100BASE-T equipment.

With the powerful PING function in this tester, you can run a wide variety of diagnostic tests to check the health of your network.
