Know your gear
Eligible Products:
• VMware ESXi Server, all versions.
• A VMware ESXi configuration document is required, unless the CDW default configuration is requested.
Service Scope:
Note: Computer will be configured to customer’s specifications unless CDW defined default configuration is requested.
1) This service includes a single customer provided licensed VMware ESXi software install per system.
2) The system required for install will be unboxed.
3) The system will be thoroughly inspected for physical damage or blemishes.
4) The system will be powered on and inspected for hardware, POST and/or software errors.
5) Any defective components will be replaced from CDW’s inventory.
6) The configuration of any hard drive RAID level will be performed.
7) VMware ESXi software will be installed onto the system.
8) The computer hostname will be configured if provided.
9) The Root password will be configured.
10) If provided the customer provided network IP address will be configured.
11) All VMware ESXi Server installation orders undergo a series of quality control steps to verify the orders were configured to the customer’s exact specifications.
12) A detailed configuration document included with each system.
13) A successfully configured system is re-boxed for shipment.
CDW Default Configuration consists of:
1) Default VMware ESXi Server installation onto hard drives or SD card/USB key.
2) If hard drives are included, RAID level = Highest level possible: 2 drives = RAID 1, 3 or more drives = RAID 5.
3) NIC configured to DHCP.
