The Canon imageCLASS LBP6030w is a compact monochrome laser printer designed for home as well as office printing. With a 600 x 600 dpi print resolution and a print speed of up to 19 pages per minute, it produces crisp, clear text and graphics without compromising on time. This black and white printer offers high-speed connectivity features like USB 2.0 and 802.11 b/g/n wireless to get started instantly. Rated 5 out of 5 by from lightning fast Not noisy at all, prints so fast the job is done before you turn your ear to hear it. Wish there was an Android app for it. Since I print 99% in black this is better alternative to the color printers with 5 or more expensive cartridges that shut down the printer unable to even scan or fax when only one is empty or expired.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Setup is a hassle but super reliable I have had this printer for around 2 and a half years now and it has traveled with me during all that time to 3 different cities. It is really reliable and the few jams that have happened were easy to remove (and always because I had done a poor job loading. My only gripe is that setting it up is a real hassle. Once it is up and running there are no issues however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never again, canon I have never had so much trouble with a wireless device, ever. I can never get the printer to show up on the computer unless I remove and reinstall it every. single. time. And then when I do, it doesn't show up when I go to print from an application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from canon LBP6030W sometimes good sometimes worthless printer works great in wireless mode with my mac however often can not be seen with my iPad iPhone forget it no chance Ink also has issues starts out fine after about 1000 pages the ink gets spotty and some areas are clear and others much lighter the ink is very inconsistent I thought well maybe it is the cartridge brought a new OEM Canon cartridge and after about 1000 pages printing the same issue. when you think about this it costs 8 cents per page which is ridiculous. Canon zero tech support no way to darken ink Also you can not check ink levels on a Mac which really sucks! Canon said they have a patch to fix this issue but it does not work just says INFORMATION NOT AVAILABLE under supply levels fix does not work!!! I am sorry Canon but I can not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from prints fast and very reliable! I have had this printer for about 3 years, maybe longer. I have never had a single problem with it. Prints fast and prints clearly. I also have an epson work force all in one that rarely prints well. I am constantly aligning the print. After a couple of pages it needs alignment again. Not to mention that the cost of ink is ridiculous! This little Canon does all my printing and I am now just using the Epson for scanning and faxing. Get the Canon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prints Great Sometimes. Printing a true black and white document it prints amazing black on the paper. Introduce another color, and the entire document fades to a barely legible gray. Happens in all programs. Customer Support can't find a solution. Upgraded to the 1.4.1 driver-- now my printer constantly says its out of paper and you have to press the buttom to get it to pull the paper and print. This could have been great, but, falls significantly short. Starting to look for a new black and white printer after having this one for three months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Setup? Software setup for this printer is really hard to figure out. There is no relevant info in the manual -- it only includes info on hardware setup. There is no USB port on the printer, so I know I can't do it that way. There is no panel on the printer to input my wifi network name and password. After many searches of third party sites, I figured out how to get my router to recognize it. Then, how to get one of my computers to recognize it. It was a convoluted process, and I did it several months ago, so I don't remember how. But now, I've upgraded computers, and don't understand why the setup utility I downloaded here: http://support-in.canon-asia.com/contents/IN/EN/0100592301.html -- the only relevant Google search result for "lbp6030w driver" -- will not get Windows 10 to see this printer no matter what I do. When I had somehow gotten it to work with my old computer, running Windows 8, it was a good printer that printed very well, and fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little printer I had another printer that would not properly load the paper through the printer. A friend from "church" knew I needed a printer and gave me this printer. This printer is Brand new and has not been used! I had a little trouble getting it to turn on because I did not have the power cord "seated" fully into the printer. I was getting frustrated so I figured: "I will come back to it after I come home from my dentist appointment." Well after I came home that is when I unplugged the USB cable and unplugged the power cord and then plugged the USB cable back in and then plugged the Power cord back in and gave it an Extra hard shove. This time when I pressed the power button it turned on!! BOY did I feel embarrassed! After the Printer turned on all of the drivers installed with no problems!! I printed 7 pages earlier today with no problems and the "darkness" of the print was perfect! I think some of the problems that some people are experiencing with the "darkness" of print issue may arise from Not checking the settings in the print menu before they print. Why do I say that? I read the eManual and made sure I understood how to operate it before I printed anything! You can "Adjust" the "Darkness" or "Lightness" level of the print in the Print Settings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer - loousy wireless - lousy install While this is a great laser printer in cost, speed and supply cost, and would get 5 stars for that, there is no install info for laptops with no disk drive, and the download hides the install file and does not auto start. Additionally while the wireless works on my Lenovo desktop, my laptop cannot see it.

Since we do not print many pages in color this laser printer was the best choice to go for printing. It connects to your own home network. Prints faster than inkjet based printers. Drivers work with the new Windows 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Start up with a Mobil device is challenging Great price. Quick ship came with a cd. I have an iPad. No cd reader. on line said download cannon direct print and scan ap. Did so. Ap wants device and security code. Ap does not discover the printer when it comes on. No printed ap or security code in or on box. No led display so no device or security code on display. Trust it will work well when If I get connected. Glad I do not have to print today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jams If you forget to lift the plastic tray, the printer won't detect this and will jam when several pages are printed. Unfortunately, this happened to me and I can't fix the jam even though no residual paper has been left inside theprinter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy installation Installed easy on Windows 10, even with older driver. The quick start guide is all graphics, but the rest of it about the CD part is where it shines. Took just a minute to get it going wireless and print the first page. Printers used to be so hard. Was delighted it came with a new toner cartridge. Bought this in an instant because of the great experiences with Canon support for camera.

Printed already around 400 + pages since i got it and let me tell you is amazing the performance, the only downsize: NO toner level to check that is why is four starts only sorry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a heck of a printer i am a student and I wanted a small monochrome printer. The inkjets cost me a lot more money to maintain and printed less pages on an ink cartrige. The canon lbp6030w is the best printer I ever owned. The only downside is that it can't print double sided. It works great with my Mac running Yosemite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from junk brought two of these and sent both back, they both ended up with paper stuck in them, the manual says pull the paper out, er thats fine if you can see it, the paper both times got stuck where the laser is, no acess, sent them both back with paper still stuck in them, canon certainly lost my custom after this, whats more, i brought 2 years warenty, the paper work has not even been processed yet but i cant ask for my money back as canon want the serial number to a printer i no longer have, i will never recomend this junk

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mac Air it sucks, Works great with Windows Laptop I purchased this laser printer to cut down on the cost of ink. The set up for Mac Air sucks, I have to reinstalled every time if I want to print wireless. However, the Dell laptop prints great via wireless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frustration-producing I bought a barely used one but without a manual. When it works, it's nice. But, in 2 months, it's only worked twice. I think it's set up finally but then it won't work the next try. Its not compatible with any of the android print apps I've tried so far (5 of them, even the Canon app doesn't work. It's not Google Print Ready (I thought it was ). Right now it's not working with Windows 8 because it's "sleeping" and won't wake up. I can't find a Web answer OR get a manual download from Canon. Of necessity, I'm about to give up and buy another brand. All I wanted was a simple wireless laser!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Set-up and No Clear Instructions Whatsoever! Product came with zero instructions for installation. Called customer service and waited for over 20 minutes only to be disconnected before any results can be obtained. If you have a Mac computer, laptop or iPad don’t waste your time or money. Printer doesn’t easily work with iPad. You can download the biz app but it won’t print directly from a page. You’ll I need to import it into the app, which is a huge hassle and waste of time. Bought this printer because of wanting a workhorse for b/w prints that are mainly textual but ended up purchasing a nightmare. Product is definitely not Mac user friendly without a lot of work arounds and hassle. If you’re using a Windows environment you’ll have better success. Worst printer ever, can barely use it!

Do not buy a canon b/c of software not hardware Two Android apps (the service and the application to print) and the desktop app and i can't consistently get it to just freakin' print. It doesn't stay connected to wifi, it stays in queue, it takes an hour of troubleshooting, and then maybe it works. I want to print a text document. How have we not solved this with simplicity for the basic use case? I usually want to print something when I'm in a rush, not when I need to set aside troubleshooting time. I have a masters in technology but no one should need one to print a page.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Support This printer was fine until I got a new router. Now it won't connect to the wifi network, even though it's the same network. In spite of this being a wireless printer, there are no instructions for how to connect it to your wifi network if you have a Mac. Nothing online (except for Windows instructions, nothing in the manual, nothing nothing nothing. So the printer is now useless to me.

This was my first home laser printer and didn't know what to expect. Like my previous Canon's it's wireless and once setup you forget about it. Prints nice sharp text - one professor even thanked me for such legible text. I use it regularly, it's quick, quiet and sharp - what more could you ask for a home B&W laser.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for me with windows and linux Setup process was fairly straightforward, I used the WPS wifi setup feature which is holding the wifi button till it turns flashing blue, then hitting the WPS on my TPLink Deco app which is hidden in an advanced menu, then the printer turns solid blue. Other setup would be over USB. There is no ethernet networking, only WIFI. Driver install on windows 11 went fine. Driver install on fedora 36 went fine. Print quality is only OK, printing a color pdf government form in black and white the driver makes the lines kina thin, but acceptable, especially for the price. Seems to use DRM print cartridges which is a negative.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Printer Ever I've had this printer since 2015 and it's still chugging. Had to replace toner once, got a 2 pack off Amazon for <$20. Highly recommend. It's wireless, it doesn't count pages, doesn't take upgrades. Just turn it on, connect it and go. I'm using it on Linux Mint now in 2023 and it works great!

I have set this up and it worked the second time I tried to use it I had to call support and they had to redo the setup something to do with Cannon changing the way The I Mac set up. I got it to work again and used it for one print and 3 days ago I went to use it and it printed on the right side 1 inch from the edge so I turned it off today It works again but the print is so light you can't read a thing so I did what the google search along with the cannon support page said to do. I cleaned everything. That didn't work. Changed out my cartridge and that did not work. I got a pile of junk that has let me down each time I needed it. so tomorrow I need to go and pay for all my things to get printed out again. I will never ever buy anything from Cannon again. The stress alone is enough to make me throw the time in the thing in the trash. took my money and gave me junk is what they did. I guarantee my boss will call me tomorrow and yell at me because this work is not printed out yet.

With years flying by the Cannon LBP6030w is not the printer with all the elaborate buttons but normal use and keeping it clean and covering the printer it's a work horse. Started using the Printer back on an Windows XP thru other versions to today with Windows 11 purchase the unit sometime back around 2014 and still running way past it prime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Giant paperweight! I bought this last year and it wouldn't connect to my wifi. Thinking it was my internet speed I bought new internet because it was past 30 days. Today I try again to set it up. Won't work still. Call Canon and they tell me I need a special type of USB cable to hook to the computers. It doesnt come with that cable lol. Now I have to download the computers software to it through customer service. Just do yourself a favor and don't buy! Unbelievable! Oh and I paid full price for mine lol. Going in the trash I guess
