Aruba 310 Series Access Points are high-performance 802.11ac Wave 2 access points providing the best performance/price ratio, due to the full 4SS MU-MIMO performance @ 5GHz and its comparably lower price. The unrestricted operation on 802.3.af power enables customers to leverage their power sources without giving up any features. It's ideal for high device density environments, such as schools, retail branches, hotels and enterprise offices, where the organization is cost sensitive.

HPE Aruba AP-315 - wireless access point is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poorly designed I wanted to like this AP, I really did. But there were several problems with it. First, it requires power of some sort either from a power adapter or PoE. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with either one, so there's an extra cost. Second, it doesn't mount on walls. It comes with mounting clips for a drop ceiling, but if you don't have a drop ceiling, there's no other way to mount it. in addition, the Cat5 port is on the bottom of the AP, so it sticks out oddly, meaning you couldn't mount it to a wall if you wanted to. You can't even place it on a shelf because of the cable placement. Finally, I never could get it to work correctly. The power button kept blinking, which is supposed to mean it is booting. Yet I could access the AP no problem. The help guides and knowledge base are useless and no way to easily contact support. End result is a poorly designed product that I chose to return.
